I finished this game in my one stitting. Hel i had so much fun playing this back in 2002. Also someone else had the rights and made this game based on the book itself. This is why the 2 Peter Jackson games does not have the title Fellowship of the Ring in them.

I just LOVE the Hogwarts Legacy Greenhouse is literally a loose retelling of the normal Jeremy Soule Harry Potter 1-3 soundtrack. I spend most of my time in there. So awesome!!!

As for many others, the first Harry Potter games were a huge part of my childhood and the whimsical and adventurous space they created inhabited my mind for a very long time. For me they were a safe space I could always return to and I knew Hogwarts Castle like the back of my hand. The music was simply the soundtrack of my childhood and I think they managed to capture lightning in a bottle with these games (you can tell they were made with love and care). As a visual artist I still revisit the games for their unique mood and visual style and still find myself in awe of the atmosphere and the beautiful art pieces displayed on the castle walls. Thank you for making these video essays, they are very well made and I am happy to have found someone still interested in this super niche topic.

I'm glad you mentioned the music in a positive light, I've always been very intrigued by it, especially the stuff we hear in the Shire which is similar in some ways to Howard Shore's take but also has this unique, wonderfully tranquil vibe that you can only really get from game music. The composer Brad Spear is something of an enigma to me; other than some additional music for Lord of the Rings Online (which may have been just repurposed music from this and the unreleased Treason of Isengard game, since Vivendi was involved in the early development of LotRO) I don't think he ever had any other credits. Wonder whatever became of him.

Yes, you hava to throw gnomes in the dens to unlock secrets. You cannot skip them.

I've played it with friends half of my childhood .. it has much taller skill ceiling than MK, much better music, esthetic, characters but most important, WEAPONS - you may avoid every weapon in a game and it's mostly skill based dodge, not luck. MK hast some stupid weapons that are just pure RNG and other that hit everytime .. if any game is close to Speed Freaks its CTR, not MK. I have thousands of hours in those games combined, hundreds on SF, CTR and MK (Wii & Switch) and MK is worst.

I just wanna say that i can really tell you love the COS game above the rest. That's kinda the feeling I have for the COS movie above the rest of the HP movies, let me give an explanation: Chris Columbus was the director who kept the movies most like the books. So HP1 was great, but COS was even better, it was still like the book and it was upgraded to an even better movie, the actors evolved as well in the second movie adding to why it was better. That is why I like it above all other HP films 😊😊

The Philosophers Stone, The Chambers of Secrets and I might add th ePrizoner of Azkabhan, were probably the peak of Harry Potter games.The atmosphere, the sound design, the game play, the way the story is different yet similar to the movies, everything is id say almost perfect!!!

Played the PS2 version. The night sneaking sections were funny because, if a prefect saw you and cast Locomotomortis, you can deflect it back onto him using Expelliarmus if I recall correctly. One of the spells lets you do it. Instead of his arms waving around like yours do, the prefect is hit with his spell and just stops dead in his tracks with his arms to his side. Like he just stopped caring

I remember getting a PS2 with Harry Potter and the Chamber of secrets for my birthday one year, two things I didn't ask for but accepted the gift happily regardless, never did I think I'd have so much nostalgia for this music, fantastic playlist!

My favorite location in game - Dumbledore's office, Fawkes, this Ambient - softer version of Diagon Alley and Main Menu. I am still hyptnotized by this.

Maybe it's because I haven't played this one and am only seeing it in this RUclips video, but I actually think the game looks rather ugly compared to the first three. The color grading especially. Colors seem pretty dull and lifeless, and the greens in some scenes seem especially sludgy and puke-y.
