"I don't know what's going on here, this is some straight people nonsense." Yep, that's pretty much Half-Blood Prince summed up in a single sentence! All these years later, though, the jazzy Hedwig's Theme when Harry's on Felix Felicis still makes me crack up.
During the part where you play as Ron when he was under a love potion, if you spawn in nearly headless Nick, Ron asks him where Remilda is. Nearly headless Nick says that he as seen her in the great hall. Harry then interrupts Nick and says that she is in Slughorns office . That is my favorite Nearly headless Nick part in the game.
Absolutely loved tuning in to your livestreams of this game! I remember playing it when it came out and even as a kid thought they were padding out the runtime by having so many quidditch practices AND matches back to back. The record scratch also made me question if I had completely dissociated from reality in that moment lol
I have a weird relationship with OOTP and HBP. I know OOTP is more rewarding of exploration and there is more stuff to do, but I hate its controls and the camera. HBP on the other hand improved those things and whilst there is barely any reason to explore, the castle feels larger and is fully realized (not like Hogwarts Legacy though). The game would definitely have shone if the devs had had the time and orders to add plot points excluded from the movie, like exploring Voldemort's past in the Pensieve.
My one good memory from this game is a line from Luna about the fireworks you light on the boathouse stairs: "It's a shame fireworks don't last forever. I suppose it's like everything you like, there's a whoosh and it's really nice, and then it has to end."
Ooh boy. Phil, this game may be bad, but I will warn you now. The worst is still yet to come. I’m both excited and scared for when you play the Deathly Hallows games. Because, sheesh. Those are probably some of the worst movie tie-in games I’ve ever played. They are offensively bad to me as both a Harry Potter fan and a gamer.
Yesss, time for Harry Potter and the Teenage Angst! Because by god, no depiction of Harry is as consistently or perpetually angsty as the one in this game. 😂
This was way easier on the Wii than PC it was one of the ones I was talking about of how the later Harry Potter games were made for consoles more than PC because I have played this one on PC and the Wii and motion control ness was way easier on the Nintendo Wii than PC. I'm not sure about the other consoles but I'm sure this one was mostly made for the movement of the Wii controllers more than any other consoles including the latest Xbox, PlayStation and PC back when it was released.
I still own the game, the only best part about it for me is Harry taking the luck potion and i just chill back and have him lead on his own for once, dueling Draco's friends over and over again is kinda annoying, they can't take a hit😂 But yeah this game is a bit better than OOTP but the character design is a bit horrifying especially Ginny, I can't with those eyes 😭 And the way their heads shake when they talk is hilarious.
Noo you've ruined this game for me now. I thought I remembered liking this game almost as much as OOTP but that record scratch thing was ridiculous. I can't believe you didn't edit that in.
I'm sorry, but I have to disagree with you. This game was much *much* better than OoTP. While the minigames could sometimes be annoying, the overall character controls were way better in this game compared to OoTP. At least Harry didn't need to spend two hours climbing up to the top of the paved courtyard to find his stalker's camera. The map of the game was way better as well.
What a lazy game. They should have added a dating simulator minigame and turned Harry into a Harem King for the hell of it. Bro could rizz up Ginny, Hermoine, Luna, Cho, uhh, some other girls, whatever. Personally, I dislike this era of gaming trying to be interactive with the mouse/controller/wii. It's as bad as quick-time events in my books.

they did Bonnie Wright so dirty with that face scan / render lol. her in-game counterpart looks psychotic.
Nothing beats Queen Umbridge's pimp hand of doom backhand slap in the OOTP game tho
so true!!!!! 💅
i come back to this video everyday to watch the opening gag. it makes me cry. thank you

Honestly genius writing

Same honestly
"I am absolutely PARCHED" damn I love british english, though I completely fail to understand it at times 😂
I remember being so frustrated with the controls of this game and the 5th game growing up ahaha brilliant video, Phil!
It might be a mess…but that potion making mini game REALLY should’ve been in Hogwarts Legacy, I used to have so much fun with it.
Yesss, time for Harry Potter and the Teenage Angst!

Thanks longshanks babe xoxo
I still can't believe that record scratch is actually in the game. What in the...
Haha! I loved the opening to this vid!
How the heck has this video been up two months now and i keep watching the OOTP one??
I liked this moment with the weird sound effect: it s hilarious

Great video! (Love from Bessemer B115)
This game is objectively terrible but it has so much character that I love it to this day.
this game was almost perfect, all it needed was a few less potions minigames and a skip dialogue button
oh, and maybe not quidditch practice before the actual match
you should change the thumbnail people like me really tough it was a cooking mama video lol

Only gonna give this video a like, once me doing so won't make me altering the like counter from being 69. 😔
Gross. Heterosexual. Kiss.
I can't
