COMBINING BOTH KARATE AND KUNGFU IS A LEGENDARY IDEA! As someone who practices Karate and learned a lot of info about kung fu combining the two really is such a cool concept. (not at all claiming to be an expert in either Karate and Kungfu) But combining a lot of Kungfu's quick striking motions with Karate's athletic fighting movements is such a good combination.

The kids in Cobra Kai would have graduated high school by now and gone on to live their separate lives. The only character I could see return from Cobra Kai is Amanda.

We know this takes place 3 years later after Cobra Kai ends. We know that Daniel (Ralph) isn't going to be in the film much because he only shot his scenes over 10 days. But I'm still interested to see what this will add to the mythology.

to some people, this "interconnected universe" thing is a cheap shortcut in storytelling, and thus a noticeable portion of movie goers seem to just inexplicably hate this kind of concept, no bargaining. i can see some truth in that, but as with everything else in the world, generalizing is the mother of disservice, an outright sin by not treating it as a case by case basis, and with this concept being applied into karate kid franchise, all i see is combining everyone's story, into a very dynamic pool of moving characters and objectives, motives, background, and the filmmakers' challenge of making it make sense to the audiences. and i think it's gonna be interesting as fuuugg. i can't wait for this.
