I loved those cards as a kid and actually printed them out for my classmates to randomly find them around school. As they were not nerds like me, they were more bewildered than anything, but it was fun anyway xD Thank you for the video on such a niche, but interesting topic. PS: Why is the only fun thing about the passage to Honeydukes, a pretty long slide, missing from the game? They got almost everything right, but such a fun gameplay moment was omittet from a quest focused on exactly that passage xD
You know what would have been awesome? If our adventure in the game made US famous, and OUR character became the secret final card to collect if certain conditions were met, like 100% completion or something. I'd give a purpose for our character to be named, AND would add slight justification to us being a magical prodigy, starting as a 5th year and all. Also, the people inside the cards moving like they were implied in the movies would have been a nice touch. Sometimes even disappearing entirely in the main menu before coming back
One of the decorations for your Room of Requirement is a card table that has a bunch of cards laid out, being played in some kind of game. I was at least happy to see them, but my biggest takeaway was that there's an actual game played with them in universe?? I JUST THOUGHT THEY WERE COLLECTIBLES
Phill I don't know if you found it but in some hosmeade bench there is a chocolate frog box, that also have a revelio page which says that wizard cards exist in that time period. Sad that is not a collectible. Great video by the way.
Loved the game, and went out of my way to platinum it. 1) Although, they kept copying + pasting the Merlin trials. Really hated the grind, they should've halved the number of them in the game. GRRR. 2) These guys nailed Hogsmeade though, so much detail. 3) The PlayStation-exclusive quest, is ironically, the single-best quest in the game imho, as well as many other people's opinions. 4) There were only 3 Hogwarts Secrets?? They were the best things in this game, I hope the next entry has 50 Hogwarts Secrets. All the effort they put into copying+pasting Merlin trials, they could've built one more Hogwarts Secret with that effort. 5) The world design, art style, all of it is perfect. I have zero complaints. 6) The story on the other hand... is lifeless. My character has ZERO backstory, I'm just watching these guys live their own stories, I'm sitting on the bench. My character has zero depth. With other games, like Geralt in the Witcher 3, he has his own life and story, and this ties in well in connecting his responses to that of the game's. I felt NOTHING when this game ended, and I'm an emosh guy, so that's saying something. 7) Nevermind just Quidditch, I want proper duelling like in Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets PSOne (and possibly Wizard's Chess, and this Gobstones I hear so much about). 8) I want a Triwizard Tournament like the Goblet of Fire BOOK, and not the movie. As well as visiting those other two schools (French and Dutch ones). That's my little mini-essay. And yes, Ravenclaw here also. Love how we can access our common room from the sky, we have it sooo good! Although Hufflepuffs have one of the best variants of the Richard Jackdaw quest (visiting Azkaban). I believe Gryffindors play football with his head, Slytherins go to a ghost ball, Ravenclaws go to the Owlery, and Hufflepuffs visit Azkaban. All to meet Richard Jackdaw.
Phil I have been trying to play Harry Potter can and the chamber of secrets on windows xp and it downloads but when I click play it gives says it cannot locate the cd-rom. I’m asking if you know how to fix this or not
I played chamber of secrets for the gameboy advanced and really enjoyed getting those cards, yet remember I could never get all of them, the game was kinda buggy 🥲
Love the dive into the Wizard Card lore, love the sass.
Salazar looking like a comic book villain is **CHEF'S KISS**

Thats the kind of twist that happened in the original 2001 game, where the final wizard card was Harry himself.
@@naughtiusmaximus You know what I mean, then
There are pictures of Dumbledor. Richard Harris’ Dumbledor.
I can't belive he called us dumb..when we just are non arrogant griffindor.
Rovena Ravenclaw's hat in the Wizard Card looks more Generic Ancient Egyptian than anything tbh
You're not wrong actually
@@PhilOfGlimmer is it a French hood? I googled Anne Boleyn hat
@@Josh_Smile ooh maybe, it's definitely partly like that anyway

Omg no I haven't, that is really cool, I need to find that for sure!!
I'm honestly but pleasantly surprised they put so many of the old cards in the game even if not in card form.
They did Rowena Dirty by giving her Pigtails
Very true about Floo powder inventor never shutting up.

I do miss the collectables so much ! Though, even if they did, then I'd probably wish they wernt in there as so much as a distraction

Omg 💀💀💀
Any plans to stream the game again or do you prefer to play it offline? :)
Hopefully next week! Playing it in a mixture of streaming and just by myself
