Around 13 years ago, I took a train on Osaka loop line to kaiyukan aquarium and remember the orange color train very well. 10 years later when i actually moved in and work in Osaka, I wondered why train became so much different and now this video explained it all.

I've heard many people comment how the nose on statue is worn off a bit, but I think it gives the statue a special character about it. Even if they made a new one I dont think it would have the same appeal as the existing one. Now they are bringing Hachiko into the digital age, they have him (or his likeness) on the 3D billboards. Hachiko will forever be a revered member of Japan society.
