Yes, it's amazing to think that it's rail lines ran across the Koshu Kaido hwy to start with before the war. Next time I'm there I'm going to go searching for relics.
Thank you. I'm glad you enjoyed it. I'm currently working on making one for Harajuku Station on the Yamanote Line now. Should be out in about 2 weeks.👍
Interesting video and channel - i'll definitely keep an eye on it in future. One small thing i would change is that the music needs to be a little bit quieter - it drowns out your voice at times.
Tremendous work - really interesting, very well put together, and documents absolutely the absolutely staggering transformation of Shinjuku really clearly. Nice one!
I'm glad you enjoyed it. I was surprised at the history of the Keio Line Shinjuku myself. The episode was going to be about the entire Shinjuku station, but there is so much history I had to break it down to the Keio Line only. More will come in the future. 👍
You heat that? Tokyo Metro was not the only one to have a New Line! Keio had one too! Also it was used to link the already built TOEI Shinjuku Line, with at stops at Hastudai and Hayagata!
Sure, that's what this episode was going to be, but as I looked deeper into it there was so much history. So I decided to break it down into smaller chunks because it was going to be so big. It was also my first episode so I was really experimenting. But yes, I will make a complete version of the full station.

thank you for the video. I stayed in Takahata Fudo back in 1998 and never knew that the Keio Line had such a deep and interesting history

@JapaneseHistory I'm so looking forward to the JR station.
@@JapaneseHistoryAnd what about the history of the JR station?
thank you!
great video!
Glad you liked it.👍
When I was in Tokyo for 3 weeks I took the keio line every day because I was staying in meidai-mae. Love the video! You've earned a sub.
Thanks, Jack. Glad you enjoyed it. Move videos coming soon.
Hey I used to take the Keio line until I moved to Osaka. I lived in Tama Center
Awesome music choice. Shout out to the Sagamihara Line yayyaay!
Thanks, Lemon Lemon. I like the tunes also, they are so boppy.
This was masterfully put together. Well researched, professional, and great narration. Keep it up! I want to see one about the JR Yamanote Line!

This is amazing. I was thinking of making a video like this myself but this is great! Good work!
Glad you enjoyed it KC. The Keio Line Shinjuku was my first in the history of series. Many more to come soom.
Awesome video, subscribed! Please make more like this
No problem at all. Much more coming soon. Lots of stuff on the Yamanote Line. Glad you enjoyed it.👍

Yeah line the Ikebukuro New Line. Was it used as an express line for fast service?
@JapaneseHistory As of now, Seibu operates limited-stop S-Train on the Yurakucho Subway Line.
This video is really great -- I'm a researcher focused on Tokyo's urban development, is a decent way for me to get in touch with you?
In the about this section.
Waiting for JR Shinjuku station history
Yeah that's a massive station.
When can the JR Shinjuku Station come?
please make a video of Shinjuku Station as a whole
