Hey dude, have you gotten the trackpoint to work? Because I have one and no matter what I do, which drivers I install, I just can't get it to work.

I have the same card as a normal 6200 with 128 MB. You can't expect much, but if you only play old games with it, you should be happy with it. And it still works with Windows 98.

Looking after starting up a Mini that has been sitting in the cupboard since 2009. Amazed it still starts up without an issue. The sound is horrible. It's slow (outdated 1.6MHz CPU, just 1gb ram) and it's a shame to say it's pretty much ewaste now. Better to play around with newer laptops with faster processor and at least 8gb ram if on a tight budget.

I had this model. I don't remember when I got it as a gift as a kid, maybe around the beginning of 2010? It died in 2014. Right now I am trying to see if I can fix it. Still, you could have shown some more... proper games on the laptop. Even if not modern at all, Far Cry 2 ran pretty well when I played on it, and so did many other games, and even some newer, light releases like Dusk and Ultrakill may have run decently.

Mine is a 32bit, not much you can do with x86 32bit now days.

This thing is a beast... I used to watch cartoons on it when I was small in 2011, and after rough use it still survives, it has even dropped many times. Such a durable laptop.

What OS did you use?

I have one with an atom n570 it's like 20-30% faster than urs and with the right browser and performance mode on windows 7 ultimate it can do youtube at 720p with little stuttering or 480p zero lag at all. I think the problem might you are using something like chrome, when i usef that it lagged even at 480p.

Nice one! This laptop should still be quite useful in 2024. All the hardware you need is there, only the cpu is getting a bit slow nowadays. And you cannot run Windows 11 because of the lack of TPM 2.0. The downsides you mention are downsides of almost all Thinkpads. Games are a big no go, anything below 30 fps is not playable in my opinion. Multimedia is mediocre at best, especially because of the bad speakers. For business use however, especially for jobs with heavy typing, this laptop is perfectly capable. And all this for only 50 bucks, it is a great deal!

Yes you can play games on it. You just have to play appropriate games from the era the computer is from. Asking it to play new games is very unfair. Back in the day, I would play a lot of Star Wars Empire at War or Command and Conquer The First Decade on my 6910P

This card doesn't support directx 11 but in gta5 afterburner show d3d11 api. Something is wrong with this benchmark.

I have this laptop, this is my 1st laptop that I bought. It has Core 2 duo T8100, 3GB DDR2 667MHz Ram and a 120GB SSD which I installed about 4 years ago. I run it occasionally now. Like once or twice in a month. I have a question. Did USB boot worked in your laptop? I tried a lot but mine does not boot up from usb at all. I had to use a usb dvd drive to install windows. Couldn’t boot from the built in dvd rom either.
