Cessna 182P Skylane | Grand Canyon | KSDL - KCMR
Join us as me, my Dad, and my brother fly up to the Grand Canyon the first time together. We depart a very busy Scottsdale Airport and head directly north to fly over Sedona and fly right past Snowbowl on the San Fransisco Peaks. We initially climbed up to 10,500 ft but had to descend a little after encountering some clouds. We then climbed up to 13,500 ft to fly North through the Zuni corridor over the Grand Canyon. There was a little bit of snow on the south rim and quite a bit of snow on the north rim. We then started our descent to 12,500 ft and turned west before flying south through the Dragon corridor. Once we passed the south rim, I turned direct for Clark Memorial Field (KCMR). W...

Today I'm doing something a little different. I'm showing you my 2000 Ford Ranger XLT 2WD. I've owned the truck for 2 years. I have put a bed liner in it, replaced a couple of lights, put all new shocks on it, removed the chin spoiler, replaced the brake pads, and replaced the sway bar end links and bushings. I recently got a pair of rough country coil springs that are 1.5 inches taller than th...

This time around, I'm flying with the owner of a 1977 Piper PA28-140 Cherokee. This aircraft is upgraded with a 160hp STC. The owner wanted me to change the power to display 100% on the JPI engine monitor because 160 hp reads as 120%. So I was adjusting the throttle for that 100% and for CHTs. We caught wind of an accident that had happened the previous day at an airstrip just north of Scottsda...

I thought I'd post this very raw compilation of my night currency landings. I did not record audio because I forgot my recorder. Great video man! We are on our 4th Ranger. The first one was a 83 with a horrible 2.0 4cyl. It was GUTLESS. Our 2nd one was an 88 with a 2.3 , 5spd 4X4 and it was an awesome pickup. My wife didn’t have it in 4WD and hit a patch of ice, flipping it in a ditch, totaling it. Our 3rd was a 90 with a 3.0 V6. It was ok, but we needed more hp and torque. Our current Ranger is a 2011 XLT super cab 4X4 with a 4.0 V6, 5spd auto transmission. We added a K&N intake and a 3” Magniflow exhaust. ( with these 2 mods we get 25mpg on the freeway with the cruise set on 75mph). We / I also added a LineX spray in bed liner, running boards, custom wheels, custom 2 tone paint, (Silver over Red metallic), red pinstripes, custom upholstery to match the exterior colors, adjustable air shocks in the rear (we haul a lot of top soil, gravel, etc), skid plates. It has every option available on the 11 XLT including a tow pkg and limited slip differential. I change the oil every 4K miles with Mobile 1 full synthetic and I change the front and rear differential, transfer case and a transmission flush every 30K miles, ( which I do on every vehicle we own). Our Ranger will soon be 12 years old and it only has 35K original miles. I’ve been offered $25K for our Ranger, (KBB without the mods), but I think it’s worth at least 28K. We’d like to buy a full size pickup, so any offers over $27K will be considered. If you had the hood repainted and had yours 2 toned with tan metallic, it would be a show stopper.

Anyway Thanks for posting, I like the panel it looks sweet .

    • @StefBelgium
      @StefBelgium Год назад

      As long as you are not at full power, doing a runup at 1,700 or 1,800 RPM is perfectly fine with the mixture leaned. You won t get high CHTs dueing a runup even with a mixture aggressively lean. What can happen is that you may have trouble to actually reach 1,700 or 1,800 RPM is too leaned. In that case, adjust the mixture to reach the desired RPM. It will prevent the carbon deposit on the spark plugs until you are ready for take off especially during hot days. By the way, having the mixture aggressively leaned is also a good thing in case you forgot to set full rich prior applying take off power, you will notice right away that the RPM are not going up.
