88AZ Departure | Cessna 172N Skyhawk

In this video, we depart from the beautiful Grapevine Airstrip. This is an awesome place to fly into, and I consider it a gem that many people are not aware of. The departure over Roosevelt Lake is breath taking. We get a cool glimpse of Haystack island as well. If you live in the Phoenix Valley, you ought to fly to Grapevine airstrip (88AZ). The airplane is a 1979 Cessna 172N Skyhawk that I rent from Scottsdale Executive Flight Training. These videos are strictly for ENTERTAINMENT purposes. I hope you enjoyed it.

Is this airport restricted? Want to land there fly out of SDL

Jeff Daugherty It is only marked as private on the sectional because they do not want training flights in and out of there. No touch-n-goes or anything like that. They only want leisure traffic. You can read more about it on the Arizona Pilots Association website.
