  • Join my brother and I as we fly from Scottsdale Airport (KSDL) to a tiny, private airstrip near Roosevelt Lake called Grapevine (88AZ). This was the third flight I took after finally getting my Private Pilot Certificate. I'm happy to say that I passed the check ride on the first try. It was one of the greatest days of my life knowing that I had accomplished a life-long dream of mine. Now I am able to share aviation with family and friends at first hand. I did not film previous flights because I did not want any distractions and wanted to just enjoy them. The airplane is a 1979 Cessna 172N Skyhawk that I rent from Scottsdale Executive Flight Training. I hope you enjoyed the video. These videos are only for ENTERTAINMENT.

Can you walk to the water from the airport there.

Jeff Daugherty yeah but it's not a short walk. It would probably take 30 minutes. The view from the end of the runway was good enough for me. Walk down to runway 17, the trail starts on the slope past it
