I honestly miss the slower, more episodic adventures through these things, it's part of why Hermitcraft and such things are so addictive I feel. Feels less like a video-essay (which I absolutely adore, don't get me wrong,) and more like an interactive story that you watch unfold in an organic way.
Those bosses have the best defenses ever seen: weirdass hitboxes LMAO
They can only be damaged when hit in a certain body parts, like queen in the crystal area, kraken in the mouth/thing on head etc

crazycraft was the first modpack that I ever played. Seeing that it is somehow still being remembered by one of minecrafts best content creators really takes me back. I remember watching the crazycraft series with Dantdm, thinknoodles and thxcya. I was so surprised to see this video come up in my recommended today, yet I couldnt be more grateful.

28:08 I think this might have just been an Orespawn thing, but the lower durability your armor is the less effective it is, which is why he got destroyed so bad as the fight went on (also he didn't have the ultimate boots on, which is like way more damage taken than you'd expect). That actually used to be in vanilla Minecraft back in beta but was taken out a long time ago if I remember correctly. If only he discovered how insanely OP bacon is lmao
Thats a vanilla thing back before the combat update iirc, back then armors will lose protection as its durability goes down.
@@duongcaoson648 Oh wow it lasted that long? I had no idea it was still in the game past 1.0. I guess I just never noticed it after the adventure updated added hunger, or maybe they just reduced it around then (or I got good at the game and started using better armor). Honestly it was a pretty good feature, not sure why they got rid of it since it made sense and added some depth to the combat.

@@Conqueringrule with every buff comes nerf, the armor point beyond the change is weaker in term of blocking damage than older armors, so the Orespawn armor on 1.16.5 would not be able to block out every damage possible and you would still take damage even from a zombie, tested with Chaos Awakens mod.

@@voisc3799 they attacked someone for making a port of orespawn (the person was using their own code), the og website got taken down because richard (the orespawn developer) sent people to dox the person who was making the orespawn port along with some of that person’s devs and a lot more stuff
OP STARTER TRICK:
-Collect 2 roses and make yourself a Rose Sword (literally stronger than a diamond sword)
-Find a Mantis Spawner and set your spawn point right next to it
-Build a little cubby near the spawner to get the Mantis to spawn and fight them without being flung around (They drop Uranium and Titanium nuggets)
-After dying and respawning multiple times youll finally kill multiple mantis bosses and get hella drops
-Keep repeating this process until you get enough Uranium and Titanium nuggets to create ingots
-With the ingots youre able to create literally one of the STRONGEST ARMOR AND WEAPONS SETS in the modpack (The Ultimate Set)
-Now you profit and are able to beat every other boss besides the final ones.
i was used to have a similar strategy but i used the sifter (1 string, 8 sticks) to find uranium and titanium in the water, then i crafted an ultimate bow and from then killing the mantis was easy without making dying necessary
Just travel to the brown ant biome and go on the king/queen trees. At the bottom they dont kill you and mine the blocks of uranium and titanium and free set of ultimate armour
I'd say just rush an iron pick and then go to the dimension that spawns the king tree. It has *blocks* of uranium and titanium. Usually you can agro the king away from it.

You may be wondering why the queen could go through the juggernaut, that is because of the purple powers which do percent damage. These are the inspiration behind the lost infinity weapons.
They can be counteracted with the torches from the mod

The fact that 2 weeks ago I was playing hard-core crazycraft for some nostalgia and now Minute drops this.
You want hard core to back and play blood and bones a mod pack literally designed to kill you as many times as possible/delete you world as fact as possible if you choice hard core. I remember watching a guy do a hard core play through and every episode had you wondering if this was the end?

Never thought I'd see Universal Collapse from the Calamity mod used as the song against the 3rd to last boss of the modpack, since there is a harder version of the king and queen via raising the prince and princess feeding them diamond blocks, but still very impressive! Good stuff!
He used music from a modpack on a different game on a modpack from a different game. And I think they both released at similar times too.

Im gonna be honest, the hardest of today is mostly regarded as RLCraft, and like, yea, you can get mad powerful in RLCraft, but CrazyCraft…? CrazyCraft is a different animal. Crazy Craft got that Gege plot armor

Rlcraft hardcore config where you only have 2 hearts each part is very hard

2 fun facts:
You can get the royal guardian set before the king.
The King is harder than the queen.
The queen is considered harder in most cases
The 2nd "fact" is just wrong, the Queen can kill you in seconds even with full royal guardian. The king is much easier.

I think it’s great there are videos and people keeping these old mods alive and relevant. They were my childhood. My favorite mod was probably the chocolate quest. Watched a lot of popularmmos back in the day and mods seemed so out of reach because I didn’t know how to install them

There's a secret boss fight, too! If you raise the Prince to adulthood, he transforms into the King, but he's super buffed to the point where you need the Queen gear set to stand a chance.
The ultimate king? Isn't he invincible unless you're cheating or using godlike items from other mods? At least that's what the wiki states

It's a difficult modpack but if you know what to do you can get the ultimate armor within the first 30 minutes by going to whatever ant dimension has the tier dungeons and quickly getting the armor and weapons for the chests and when you have that, you go for the 6 tier dungeon that has the kings sword and kings armor, then you basically can't die lol but the queen is still very difficult to kill

Fun fact: orespawn mobs have a weird defense that protects them from op weapons, mobzilla can tank a sword that deals 7 trillion damage, it’ll only do around a couple hundred damage to him

these bossfights hurt to watch. the hitboxes are so jank
you can really tell how poorly made the modpack was but how much effort was put into it it's amazing and terrible at the same time i love it
Tbh Minecraft isn’t really good at hitboxes for giant flying mobs. Even the vanilla ended dragon has hit box issues so an even bigger and more erratically moving boss like the King or Queen would have even jankier hitboxes.

A little correction, The Warden doesn't count as a boss in minecraft. It's a regular mob technically - Even if it is stronger than the Wither and Ender Dragon combined.
Also, Crazy Craft was one hell of a series to watch Justin, James and Dan play back in the day.

There was a woman called amy who had a crazycraft series and that used to be all i watched (i also watched a lot of little club but whatever) it took her like 3 hours to beat the king, and in the end, she didn’t even fight the queen because her computer couldn’t take it. Orespawn is by far one of my favorites. However, as difficult as this modpack is with power scaling, a much more challenging modpack in terms of skill is RLcraft. Hardcore RLcraft is virtually impossible, but if you want pain, there's a hell of a challenge. It will test your vanilla instincts for sure.

Hardcore RLCraft isn’t that bad in terms of “difficulty”, you just have to get good RNG with your spawn and avoid Lycanite’s randomly one shotting you and you can basically always win. Check out Neurotic Goose’s playthrough currently
Rl craft the bosses are easy but are nothing compared to the queen who can kill someone in creative actually it's more then that since it can one shot armor thats legit stronger then being in creative😂
