  • Join us as me, my Dad, and my brother fly up to the Grand Canyon the first time together. We depart a very busy Scottsdale Airport and head directly north to fly over Sedona and fly right past Snowbowl on the San Fransisco Peaks. We initially climbed up to 10,500 ft but had to descend a little after encountering some clouds. We then climbed up to 13,500 ft to fly North through the Zuni corridor over the Grand Canyon. There was a little bit of snow on the south rim and quite a bit of snow on the north rim. We then started our descent to 12,500 ft and turned west before flying south through the Dragon corridor. Once we passed the south rim, I turned direct for Clark Memorial Field (KCMR). We landed on runway 18 at Clark. It was very windy there, but the extra weight of the Skylane allowed me to get the airplane down in a safe manner. The next video will be our return leg back home to KSDL. The aircraft is a 1976 Cessna 182P Skylane (N1998M). This Skylane has an engine upgrade from P.Ponk. So this airplane develops 270 horsepower. I hope you enjoyed the video. Please remember these videos are for ENTERTAINMENT purposes ONLY.
