So if its to and from a drop lot, isn't a drop and hook (drop loaded trailer, pick up empty trailer) at a shipper/receiver technically a drop lot, and after dropping my loaded trailer and picking up my empty I can drive home on PC?
thanks for all the great information!!!! Question for you can I go from Receiver to trailer drop lot or from truck stop to trailer drop lot with personal conveyance?
Last week I was getting ready to go on vacation for a week. I dropped the empty trailer back to the company I did the load for and was I was bobtailing home I got stopped by DOT he said if I would’ve pc’d back home he would’ve put me out of service because going back home where my business at is a violation to the pc rules. This guy saying the opposite. Seems like these dot officers interpret pc differently. Keep in mind I wasn’t even working just dropped a mty trailer off and went home. This was a violation according to officer
In my case, my house is closer than any other "nearest safe reasonable (and I'll add legal) location" so I got no problem justifying it if I needed to.
When I drop a loaded trailer at a receiver and leave the shipper in Indiana bobtailing, can I bobtail all the way to my residence in Texas? Is residence my house or my home terminal? It's my home time.

Can you use PC to avoid blocking the fuel islands by finishing fueling, go off duty, then PC to a parking spot to shop in the truck stop to finish a 30 minute break?
Got a violation in a roadside inspection for using pc from my residence to company terminal bobtail Officer didn’t want to listen to anything i had to say guy said absolutely not legal. Made me edit the 2 hours to driving or will be put out of service. What can i do in a situation like that?? Thanks
What is "RESIDENCE" defined as? Does it have to be address on your license or can it be anywhere you choose to take off-time at? Example: kids that don't live with you or Disneyland.
Residence is defined as the place where you live. It's the same reasoning and definition that's used when voting. Normally that will be the place that's on your driver's license, but in the case of a recent move or slow government processing, there might be a discrepancy. So if the kids don't live with you, then no, that's not your residence. And only Mickey Mouse can put Disneyland as his residence 😉
What if driver find out that the receiver takes upto 8 hours to unload and appointment set for next day. Driver goes off duty at nearest truck stop. Can driver use PC to go back to receiver couple hrs earlier and wait till appointment time?

Thank-you.
@@TruckingWins I was watching you talking about when you can use PC. You mentioned that a guy had a 27 min discussion on Samsara. I use the Samsara ELD system. How can I watch that discussion on Samsara. I haven’t seen an option to watch a video.
What if I've made my delivery I'm headed home my hours run out and I'm an hour from home I'm not going to stay at a truck stop I'm going to PC home I guess that's illegal or is it legal? Or even 2 hours from home if I'm not fatigued I should be able to drive to my house
If you are in sleeper Berth and the shipper calls you to the dock, can you use YARD MOVES without messing up your sleeper Berth time, and have to start it all over again?
The rules of PC are clear, what people do on PC is where they can get in trouble as i found out,PCing from a trailer drop lot to my home. The part i did wrong was not going back ON Duty to unhook the trailer, people should understand this also,i got a company violation for this
