    1. I have officially graduated from beginner to intermediate beginner! (Note to self, don't do half moon next to your wooden bed - bruises from falling over take too much time to cover up 😂)
    2. As an intermediate beginner don't do this with full commitment right after leg day. Do your best but realize that you might wobble.
    3. Hearing "try to get your pinky toe to touch the ground" in child's pose with feet curled might be the best thing I've learned so far. Also works like a charm in standing when your feet tend to go inwards.
    4. With scoliosis it might be more comfy to sit with legs stacked in the beginning. Having them in front if each other feels like extra training, though. I like that, it just doesn't let me relax.
    5. Thank you Candace - as usual - awesome flow! 💜💜

    This was a great practice, thank you! I especially appreciate your focus on explaining the flow without taking long breaks to talk about something else. I personally can't help getting angry when it's the middle of the practice, I'm waiting for the instructions, but the teacher starts to go on and on about something else.

    My toughest part of the practice: Super tight hamstrings. I'm not able to be on the ground with legs outstretched and lay my face on my thigh. Same with downward facing dog, I'm not able to keep my legs in a line, I need to bend my knees. I've been doing the practice about 4-5 times a week for 2 years. Anything you can recommend? -Frank

    • @yogabycandace
      @yogabycandace  5 лет назад +1

      Hi Frank! Couple things I can recommend: 1) allow your knees to bend, no problem w that at all, so long as you still feel a stretch in your hamdstrings, 2) Sit on a block or a thick rolled towel or blanket. This will help tilt your pelvis forward in a seated forward fold and feel far less terrible, 3) Keep practicing but make sure you vary the yoga practices so that you can hit all the little different muscles. Or! Come to a workshop in person and I can give you more specific tips based on what I see: www.yogabycandace.com/yoga-workshops

      @@yogabycandace Wow, Candice! I feel starstruck to read your reply. Thank you x 100! I've been feeling the hamstring stretch and use the tilt technique... it feels so good that I thank God as I feel it, sometimes feel overwhelmed at the accomplishment to a few tears. I've only been doing your Beginners Vinyasa practice over-and-over, so I haven't been varying the practices. I find the repetition comforting in some way. I'm intending to add the practice in this video and mix it up. Any other 20-25 minute practices you recommend? I'd love to come to a workshop. I live in Campbell so it would be easy to come to your studio. I looked on your page and I'm not sure which workshop I should sign-up for? -Frank

I am tall (6'2"), Silicon Valley CEO always busy lifestyle, in good health and about 20 pounds overweight, and like Vinyasa because I'm always in motion (and no difficult pose seems to last too long before the next).
