I can't believe how far the F 100 has come. The bed is looking good. It's coming down to little details.
Thanks Mike!!☻
Anyone else hear how solid that door sounded @ 22:12? Nice👍
Glad you got Mike there to help!
Yeah Buddy!! I couldn't have done it without him!!☻
Nice work Buddy, using the air file is a good way to get the square hole in the stainless. Good luck getting it ready for a test drive by next video. Cheers
Thanks Lloyd!! I'd still be working on those hole right now if it wasn't for that Air File!!☻
Looking great, Roady. Ironing out all the little problems at the end is a big job. Good to have a friend like Mike helping. All the best, Mart.
Thanks Mate!! Mike's the Man!!☻
Awesome progress. Mike will figure it out, of course!
Thanks Chris!! My Boy never lets me down!!☻
It was the 📦 that kept on giving for sure
That bed is going to turn out really nice. With these old cars and trucks you never know what your going to find when you fixing them up!
Thanks Bob!! It's a neverending job working on old stuff!!☻
I think I would have drilled a small hole, perhaps 2mm or 3/32", close to the corner of those holes so that I didn't have as much metal to remove with the file but that would best be done with a drill press. It looked as if you were struggling a little with that first file, I couldn't say if it happened in this case but it is very easy to work-harden stainless and then you can have all sorts of problems.
I particularly noticed the quality of your work when I saw the reflection of the hold-down plates in the paintwork at about 18:12, really nice.
If ever a vehicle warranted a garage, Carport or even a ShelterLogic it is your truck! I lose sleep at night just thinking of my cats and your truck spending the Winter outside unprotected. 😃👍
It's funny, I catch them Feral Cats on the Security Cameras hanging out in the Bed!! I just hope they don't start pissing and crapping back there eh!!☻
You know the saying !
“ FILE IS YOUR FRIEND”
😊keep on truck’n buddy
Yeah Buddy!! The Air File is your best friend!!☻
Some days it's just not worth getting out of bed for.
Had a lot of fun always sending the new guy to the hardware store with a carriage bolt to get the correct sized square drill bit...luckily we had an iron worker with dies to stamp out all kinds of shapes.
If I had alot more holes to make I would have bought a Die, they're only $100 for a hole that small!!☻
Isn't it always the way? It's always the last 10% of any project that is the hardest. You guys have got this though! 👍
The Finish Line keeps getting further away!!☻
The problems a person encounters when restoring an older vehicle. You and Mike will get it all handled though.
Thanks Larry!! Working on old stuff is a neverending job!!☻
Your wood work on the bed is artistic.
Thank you Rob!! We're real pleased with the way it turned out!!☻
Looking great, you and Mike can solve any problems, sounds like the crows want some peanuts.
Thanks Charger!! Those Crows are a pain in the ass!!☻
Aww I was hoping to see you going down the street grinning from ear to ear.
We do in the next video, Mike was having more fun than I was!!☻
Hopefully that's the end of the Electrical problems👍🏻
Thanks Bruce!! Yeah Mike has that wired up better than when it was new!!☻
Looking really good!!!!
Thanks Bud!!☻
Oh boy! If Mike is stumped you're in trouble!
He wasn't stumped for long!! It was a faulty switch and the wiring diagram in the manual didn't match the Truck!! My Boy figured it out!! Never bet against Mike!!☻
@@805ROADKING I'm glad he figured it out!
The bed looks great and deserves a Mr. Burns -“Ex-cell ent!”
Thanks Leigh!!☻
4:51 i used to have one that had a ball end, about the size of a pool ball. Lost it some while ago, unfortunately. The wider they are, the better they are.
Yeah Buddy!! Especially if you have alotta holes to punch!!☻
Looking good buddy!
Thanks Buddy!!☻
Wow my friend the truck is looking great
Thanks alot Joe!!☻
Thank you for the video and Happy thanksgiving
Thank you Joe!! You have a great Holiday too!!☻
I have faith in Mike that he'll square things up might have to enter the Rose Parade instead , road trip 👉
Thanks Bill!! The Dude has never let me down!!☻
That wiper motor is definitely wiped out... :P
Yeah Buddy!!☻
Look'n good buddy! You never know what you're going to find with electrical in an old truck. That wiring in the column was super scary stuff! Who in the heck would do that and think it was ok? Glad you got Mike there to help out with that stuff. Any plan or room to store the truck for the winter? Be a shame for the 'ole girl to be outdoors spoiling your hard work.
Thanks Crusher!! Yeah I couldn't have done it without Mike!! We have no place to put the Truck, it's gonna have to tough out the winter!!☻
Looking good RK ! I know you could have bought a new truck if you added the man hours to the total, but I would rather have this truck than a new one.
You got that right LL!! But than what would I do, watch TV!!☻
Murphy's Law strikes again!
It never ends Bud!!☻
You haven't put in any LED lights,or bulbs, they can affect your blinker flasher,? thanks for sharing, all the best to yous and your loved ones
Thanks Donald!! Nah, all regular Bulbs!! He was able to fix it, the switch was faulty plus the wiring diagram in the manual was different than what was in the Truck!!☻
just curious , I wonder if one of those mortise bits would work to make the square hole, there wouldn't be a lot of metal to remove,, just wondering if the metal would be to strong for this idea to work don't want to dent the metal.
I don't know Vern, it would be interesting to try!!☻
Guys- a morticing bit works on wood but metal would ruin both the bit and your work piece- like using a wood chisel on metal
like one of the other commenters said,, it probably wouldn't work.@@805ROADKING
I think a 61 galaxie switch will fit
Yeah Buddy!!☻
The last 10% takes 90% of the time to finish it RK ,
Yeah Buddy!!☻
Road kid, you have a lot of likes on this video a hundred and twenty eight k when I saw it
