- I'm replacing the stock horn on my 1929Graham Paige model 612 with a vintage "Klaxon". This horn will give the distinctive "aooga" sound that I love. It's old, crusty, and not working. Can I fix it in one day?

The sound brings back fun memories. My grandfather had one on one of his cars. Great restoration job!
What a great sound this one has, I love it. This type of horn is considered a "mechanical horn", the type that beeps is considered a "magnetic" type. Great job, and great video, thank you for uploading this.
Excelente, me encantó. la restauración y como suena.desde Colonia Uruguay
Made by Delco-Remy. a GM division manufacturing most of the electrical components for General motors cars from 1918 into the 1990's. this item most probably came originally with a 1920's Chevy Oldsmobile or Buick.
I just bought the cousin of this one. Not as dirty but needs clean up. Can't wait to light it off.
that is so cool i wanna put one of these on my bike
now thats what they are supposed to sound like!
That is the best sounding one I've ever heard. Where the hell can I find one??
Such a wonderfully satisfying sound!
good job dude!
That is the perfect klaxon sound lmao you picked a good one
Awesome job!!! Thanks for sharing mate!
Ahhhh! It sounds amazing :D
i have that as a fire siren for my house lol
That is brilliant
You have great patience and skills! And what a wonderful old fashion Klaxon 📣
I like those
Amigo ese magnífico sonido de claxon como me gustaría q lo fabricarán de la misma época pues tenían muy buena mano para construirlos eran de muy buena calidad
Great video bro, I subscribed!
Real kool 🙂 and so easy to make it work, and it turned out sounding super 👍 would love to get my hands on one of these 😍 your not selling it by any chance?
Have such horn myself, with a bigger brush motor. Two spoles!
Do you know what this horns needs, regarding 6v? The motor did spin up with 18v, with a very high pitch tune, far away from the sound you want.. My horn is going to a 24v system, delivering 28v..
NICE
@i'll be in the garage, where could i found one similar? What are the specifications of the one you bought?
What are you using for the gasket material? I hve about a dozen of these horns of different manufacture that I will be refurbishing.
Btw The “ brush” is not metal it’s graphite
No need relay to install? For 12 volts?
I kept the car at 6 volts. It seems to be just fine. Thanks for watching!
There's no comparison between the original and the new cheap copies. The new ones sound pretty crappy.
I kinda wonder how the new cheap ones would sound if you undervolt them to 6 volts
