    Thank you for your excellent explanation. I have a Klaxon 8C 6v which I bought at a car show about 12 years ago. Mounted it on my '23 T 4-Dor and it has worked perfectly until early December when it stopped working altogether. I had never had the lid off, and after cleaning everything and checking the system for shorts etc. could not get it to fire up. However, after watching your video I went a bit deeper and within an hour had it purring like a very loud kitten. You provide a great service where none is readily available. Best to you in the new year. Bill

    Thanks for your video. Suggestion for rust removal, cotton swaps dipped in vinegar applied let sit then neutralize with water air dry and all will be as new (nearly anyhow) Also don't forget the two (2) felt pads need regular application of oil. You really have the craftsmans approach. Please make more Model A videos.

    Thank you for the great video "Ahooga Horn - Will it Ahooga Again?" It was great to learn from you how it works! Would you please be kind enough to tell me what camera and editing software you used to make this video. I look forward to your answer and more videos!

      Glad you enjoy my Channel. More vid's coming! For the camera, I use my Android phone believe it or not. And for the editing program, I use Hitfilm Express. It has a free version which you can add features later. Took me a while to figure out how to use it, but I'm getting much better at it. Hope this helps!

      @@FlatheadTerry Thank you so much for your fast reply! Your video was so much better than many of the videos you see online where they are out of focus, bad audio and don't keep the subject matter in the frame. I bet you could make a great video on "How to create a RUclips Video - Equipment Needed & How to Use It."

    11:24 you mentioned some polish for the armature, what did you use as the polish?

    • @FlatheadTerry

      I used an old bottle of NOXON 7 metal polish. This stuff is super expensive now. I have two bottles so I better be conservative with it! 🤪

      @@MartinSBrown-tp9ji It probably got most of the rust in it's early days, and anyway there's no serious pitting. Now that Terry has it in hand and it's kept in a nice, dry garage it's unlikely to suffer much. Besides the world is full of over-restored old cars looking unnaturally new.

    Is that really from a model A? I just installed this on my car, found it in the barn.. so dirty.. had to soak it in w-d.. sadly the letters wipes off so i couldnt see what it said

    • @FlatheadTerry
      @FlatheadTerry  4 года назад

      Yes, this one was originally from a Model A. However, I believe there was at least three horn manufacturers that Henry used. Sparton, E.A. and Ames. This one is an Ames.

      Hey Mark, the 6 volt motorcycle battery I used to test it is rated at 18 amp hours. The horn itself draws 9 amps. Hope this helps and thanks for the question and watching.
