I wouldn't consider Robert Greysmith a credible source for information about Zodiac.
I'll bet he is a more credible source than you are.
Me either, unfortunately pretty much any zodiac coverage uses him as the sole source of information
Graysmith is so full of sh*t. His books are muddleheaded garbage, with no indication whatsoever that Allen might have been the Zodiac.
Graysmith is particularly contemptible on the Cold Case Files episode on Zodiac. Nothing he says is true.
His first book was good true crime. But his obsession didn't serve him well, as far as being a credible source, past that.
@@thing_under_the_stairs I wouldn't call it "true crime." Graysmith advanced a false suspect -- a lie -- and he knew it. The warning signs are all there. A confident writer will state his case clearly and concisely. Graysmith jumps all over the place, from one irrelevant subject to the next, to keep the reader from discerning that his "case" against Allen is nonexistent.
How do I know that Graysmith was aware he had no case? In 2007, a former SF attorney claimed that a merchant seaman had convincingly confessed to the Zodiac crimes to him in 2007. Graysmith responded by acknowledging the plausibility of the story (the Bay Area was full of merchant seamen in the 60s and early 70s), and adding, "I've been writing for years about the possibility that the Zodiac was a merchant seaman."

Allen was *not* a merchant seaman.
I looked up the word "creep" in the dictionary once and it was a photo of Arthur Lee Allen.

The Zodiac is amazing: with the passing of every decade his suspected body count keeps increasing (even after his death).
The Zodiac is known to have committed four attacks which resulted in the deaths of five people. Serious Zodiacologists, in my experience, don't ascribe more than that to this unknown killer.
You are incorrect. Pedophilia is the attraction to prepubescent children. The women in the santa rosa killings were all post pubescent. You might want to fact check before just parroting back what you've heard on the internet.
Should be easy to verify Allen with DNA.
Semen was found at the Kim Allen scene. If that was preserved, then Arthur Allen should be an easy comparison.

Why would the zodiac killer commit murders in a different style? Did he intentionally get resources spun up and used on the higher profile zodiac to keep himself hidden as the hitchiker killer? It is the only reason i can think for him to be both serial killers.
I wouldn't rule Allan out of the Santa Rosa Hitchhiker murders, but i think the odds are against it. Still feel as though that case is an unknown and prob will never be solved. Police back then were absolutely terrible trtong to solve complex serial killers like that, coupled with the fact the technology wasn't there.
All right, my mom was the photographer for the Cloverdale Reveille from about 1970 to 1973. She got called out at all times behind stuff like this here in Northern Sonoma County. There WERE no babysitters back then, I got pulled into whatever she had to photograph. Pfft. You folks want to know about things, but you are all too lazy to think maybe folks from back then can't tell you what you have heard before. Get off my lawn.
I started babysitting in the 1960s. My brother and I had occasional babysitters before then.

I like watching stuff about killers from the past. But they're never going to figure out who Zodiac is. Just like they'll never give a proper id to Jack the Ripper. But they're fun to watch

I think Santa Rosa is the Jim guy from the recent HBO documentary and don't think he's zodiac but I am pretty sure he's done ones that we don't realize and maybe was motivated by them or by the ones that motivated them like that moonlight phantom killer

Allen looked nothing like the Zodiac police sketches. Shape of face, hair, all of it is different.
I've seen these documentaries about him and also the book. My big problem is that he does not fit the description of the zodiac. No one has ever addressed, and the partial DNA from 1969 did not match him. I'm not an expert on criminal behavior, I've known people that were interested in abnormal things. But we're never arrested or convicted of anything. I would say it's wrong but it doesn't mean they did anything criminal.
There is no known Zodiac DNA sample.

Also from the shooting, from what was thought to be the blood from the zodiac, he did not match. They cannot get DNA from this evidence.

They had different M. O. from each other. It could be somebody totally different from these guys.

The Zodiac killings were most likely multiple killers that have now been grouped together.
You're clearly uneducated on the case because the murders are tied to the letters as only the killer would of known certain facts at the time, not everything was publicly known. but if multiple people were involved somebody would of talked as that is always the case, next theory pls🤣😂
@@niklaus9678 If you look at the way that Zodiac evidence was handled back in those days, you will realize that the case is as close to impossible to solve as you can get.
@@bills6093this is true, however it does not make the "multiple killers" hypothesis more likely to be the correct one. A single individual is almost certainly responsible for the 5 canonical attacks. What the Zodiac might be responsible for beyond those 5 is very difficult to ascertain. It might even be zero.
Allen was painting houses with Gary Poste so he didn`t have any time to do these murders
