    This is timely. Two weeks ago, I sat down - looked at the calendar and planned my 2 wash days in each month. Scheduled my protein treatments, my hot oil treatments and any other treatments I wish for my hair for the rest of this year and for the year 2024. They are marked as appointments, I've even added them to my appointment calendar to remind me 2-3 days before so I can gather whatever I need.
    This was like a weight lifted off my shoulders and I feel less stressed. I have the calendar posted on my door. Most of these do take almost a full day, but it's okay because I have set aside that date beforehand. And even if it goes over into another day, I'm still not as stressed like I would have been before the calendar.

    I also have a short wash day and I love it! The lazy natural life is definitely the least stressful 😊

    I ❤ what you said about embracing the frizz. Everything you said is so true. It makes it easier to not feel the pressure before the twists can be refreshed.

    Great. I believe the Shampoos and Conditoners make a world of a difference in hair growth and retaining length!❤❤❤

    I've been a monthly washer since starting my full-time job last year. I've had my RevAir Dryer for a couple months now and it has been a game changer! My routine is also cleanse, condition, stretch, and pre-style for a protective style. I wait one week after wash day to install my protective style. I cleanse my hair twice with my diy Ayurveda African Black Soap cleanser. 1) The first cleanse I finger detangle to remove excess shed hair for about 15 to 20 minutes. My diy shampoo has a lot of slip so detangling is a breeze for me. Second cleanse is to focus on my scalp and remove build up. 2) I deep condition out of the shower to avoid spending a long time in the shower. I apply my deep condition and sit under my bonnet dryer for 30 mins and rinse. 3) after my rinse I apply my rose water, leave-in treatment for heat styling, oil, and leave-in cream + heat protectant to prep for blow drying. 4) I blow dry my hair with my RevAir which takes me less than an hour. As I finish each section I thoroughly detangle with my tangle teezer from ends to roots.
    All together it's roughly 2 hours to clease, condition, and style my hair on wash day. My hair is almost waist length now. I've been natural for almost eight years. It wasn't until my 5th to 6th year I finally learned what routine and products work with my hair. Before I use to buy so many products. Now I about 5 products in my stash.

      Can relate to slot of what you have said. Few staple products that work. Simple routine. Question for you, do you detangle with the tangle teaser on dry hair after using revair or before using revair?

      @justbeuneik Год назад

      @@CoilyDiariesYes, I use the tangle teaser on dry hair after using the RevAir.

    I'm with you. I wash, condition and style. I've been natural for about 12 years and tried many trends. I wash once a week. I either leave my hair in twists or do a wash and go. My product stash has decreased tremendously over the past few years. I love the Briogeo don't despair repair line. Thanks for reminding me about the big bottle of glycerin sitting under my sink. I'm so happy that I found your channel.

      @@CoilyDiaries I already broke it out yesterday after binge watching some of your past videos. I've gone back to wearing twists the majority of the time. Your tips were definitely helpful.

    I have to give that a try. My 'wash day' is only about 90mins to 2 hrs, so not bad, but cutting it down to even less would be great.

    I’m so happy for you!! I wish I could do the same using your tips, but I can’t. I can’t skip detangling and I definitely can’t wash in mini twists. My fine strands are like sewing thread. Try putting soap and water on it and not ever keeping those threads detangled, I’ll end up with a matted mess waiting to be cut off. 😅 Wash day can be daunting, but my mental gymnastic move around a wash “day” now is, since I only wash my hair every 4 to 6 weeks, I can at least spend one day on my hair. I tell myself “that’s fair and reasonable”. 😌 Thanks for sharing!

    • @CoilyDiaries

      Definitely fair and reasonable! I’ll share a video soon about twists and how to avoid locing. Might be helpful 🩷

    Lol, I've been doing this since the start of my natural hair journey 16 years ago. I never jumped on the bandwagon of all those steps. I've never seen a reason for it, lol. Wash, deep condition, and done has always been my thing, lol.
