    Yes, I definitely agree that wash and goes can be a year-round style! I rock them every season and I live in Michigan where it can get pretty cold ❄️🥶

    Hi Kayla! I enjoyed this video and I accept the challenge. I hadn't seen this tag and then I realized that I wasn't creating content 6 years ago. Thanks for inviting us creators that missed it.💛

    I love your common sense approach to hair care. I don’t do anything but wash and goes.

    Great D&T and the tips were on point. I especially like "practice makes progress" and "your wash and go is going to look like your WnG" In a way, those tips are more important than product tips because they are the ones that tend to stop people from doing or continuing with the style.

    It's So funny that today's video is a Detangle and Talk! 😂 I was watching the "only 10 products forever" D&T video last night...because I'm a serial Re-watcher lol but an UPDATED only 10 products D&T would be great!!! Because I know you no longer use wetline. It would be interesting to see how that list has changed ❤

    Hi Kayla! Thanks for this video and the gems you shared. I know you talked about the flexy brushes you linked all being the same but have you tested them all or are you saying this based on the look and overall function of the brush? The Unbrush seems a little different from the others but the Curl Keeper and Philips brushes are almost identical. I only found 1 review where someone said the Philips appears to be a cheaper quality, so I wanted to know your opinion on the brush quality or material & structure differences based on your experience if possible.

    • @WhatTheKink
      @WhatTheKink  Год назад

      I haven’t tried them all. Just like you said, I too think the Philips and Curl Keeper are identical. I started linking the UnBrush (shorter handle!) when folks started raving about them. Kinda leaning on the hype from others.

    Do you find that consistent use of the Kinky Curly system causes build or requires shampoo modifications? Does your hair seem to experience dryness or additional frizz in the humidity with it?

    • @WhatTheKink
      @WhatTheKink  Год назад +2

      Due to being a content creator, I can’t really speak to the effects of consistent use of the system. I do rinse a bit more before my next shampoo because it is definitely a heavier product.
      I regularly shampoo with what can be considered an all-purpose shampoo and clarify monthly. These are things I do anyway.
      My hair is the opposite of dry with kinky-curly and I typically top it to prevent frizz in the Florida humidity.

    Hey Kayla,
    do you think that due to the humid climate you live in that the humectant gel under the harder holding gels is keeping your hair in healthy conditions? Do you think your technique would be different if you lived in a different climate?

    • @WhatTheKink
      @WhatTheKink  Год назад +1

      I honestly can’t say. 🤔 There are too many factors that could cause someone’s hair to be healthy or unhealthy.
      If I lived somewhere less humid, I’d likely not top combos like kinky-curly because there would be no need. I would probably get more wear out of fluffy/soft wash and gos as well. So, I’d definitely have a few small changes to my styling.
