With the race-car-esque parts it looks almost like a DTM car. It is a bit better because the boxiness looks more functional
The first time I saw the normal M2 I remember bursting out laughing just because of how ridiculous it looked. I must now admit however that these things have somehow really started to grow on me. Still wouldn't call them beautiful but definitely interesting and better than most cars BMW has designed in the last years.
I would prefer unique and a bit odd / goofy as opposed to the "generic euro" we have been seeing too much lately.
I see this as the first step to design improvement. Just my opinion

It’s not bad at all. Once people realize that the new M2 is inspired by the boxy E36 M3, so they took the boxy proportions of the new 2 series and made it boxier. Genius
I agree but the head/tail lights are making my heart bleed :(
The headlights on the prelci m340i looked more like the e46 m3 than this M2. Shame they changed them on the lci

If something is inspired by something, it also has to look the part. This claim is just marketing, if you can't actually see it in the design IMO.

Riced from factory... with its a good thing! would be better with a wide body kit but "rules" i guess

the m3 was a shock to everyone, but since then iv'e learned to see their new designs with an open mind. I think the m2 is a decent looking design along with the new XM. I;m now kinda looking forward to seeing what crazy design they will come up with next.
This is the most aggressive, beautiful and mean looking car on sale right now, behind the Porsche GT3 RS

I love the new M2 and these performance parts really make it pop in my eyes. The styling reminds me of an old school DTM race car. Love it!

It would be amazing if you could choose which parts of the performance pack you want. I would would only choose the carbon elements in the lower bumper cooling intakes and the carbon elements on the rear bumper and the weird exhaust.
You can choose. You buy these parts individually after purchasing the car, it is not an option, if that is what you nean

Front - 10/10, love it.
Side - Good, but forks are little meh, yes. Maybe thinner would be better.
Back - A bit too much, some civic vibes, but okay.
Also spoiler should be body color.
Overall, one of the best sporty cars now.

Idk what BMW is up to these days. I miss when they consistently made beautiful designs, like the E46, E39, and E24. I assume I'll become a big fan of the new M2 when I start seeing them in person, but idk if I'd ever call it beautiful. As for these performance parts, BMW needs to stop taking inspiration from Mansory and TechArt. You would have NEVER seen gaudy parts like these fitted to an E46 M3 from the factory. That said, the wheels are stunning, I like the way the car itself calls back to the '80s and '90s with the box flares and rectangular radiator intakes, and I'm sure it'll be an absolute blast to drive. BMW designers just need to learn when to stop designing.

Filling in the air inlets on the front with black is an improvement. Vinyl wrap is an affordable way to achieve the same look.
I actually like the stacked exhaust on the M2. Looks out of place on the M3/4, as those are more mature looking cars, but suits the younger vibe of the M2. Kinda looks like a car from NFS HEAT, and I kinda like that haha
It seems BMW is catering for the after market industry... or at least getting in on the action themselves.Maybe a little over the top for my taste, but aftermarket options sometimes are really bad. This, at least, looks oem, imo.
The new M2 is one of the very few new cars which I really want to own. But I don't have the money.

Can you review the Adro g82? Its a aftermarket kit for the m4 and it fits so perfect in my opinion.
Honestly I think this looks really good, apart from the tilted exhausts and too tall canards. Hate how the normal M2 looks but this is very similar to the 3.0 CSL Hommage with this roof wing
I think BMWs design identity is in where it counts for them. Like the lighting designs and the grills. Overall composition they have pretty far spread ideas on bodylines and "tone" for the looks. I do think the new M2 is the best looking one. Its not beautiful, But it has a certain charm and distinctive humanistic look to the shapes that a lot of car companies have completely lost. Its understated in some places and sharp and "handsom" in the accents, while being "small" and agile in its overall form.

I love this car. The design is very static, but it reminds of the r34 Nissan skyline specifically from the front end and the square intakes. I wish it had sharper body lines to better bring the design language together

The forks on the side reminds me of the vortex generators that came on the Lancer Evo

I think I like the performance model more because given how funky it looks stock, the extra trim kind of makes it look more race oriented and function which its good. If I had the money, I would get the performance parts to complete the look.

Save for the adidas stripes this does look better than the stock.
That being said, it just looks okay at best.
The square bulges in the bumper and fender are too hard to fix.
It's funny cause all of BMW crazy designs would only have me picking all black configs. Speaks volumes.
The rear fender bulges are right on the mark. The add-on box like features at the corners will draw your eyes to them but not in a good way. Thanks for video.
Ugh its like the 80s back with "Testarossa" added everywhere. This looks like a tacky aftermarket 3rd party body kit. Really leaves lots of opportunity for an aftermarket front and rear bumper to fix this car.

It's the second one! Straight up ridiculous! And I'm a BMW fan saying this! Besides, do you know what annoys the most? Knowing the fact that the BMW can do so much better.
It's not so bad in a long shot but as you get closer you suddenly realize that it's absolutely horrible. In terms of design of course, not the performance.

If I wouldn’t have known that it’s a factory option I would’ve thought it was a Mansory product or something from similar tuners. Not a good thing, I hate it with every bone in my body

Looks like a Lego version of a Type R
The boxy design of the new M2 is the direction BMW should go in. This is kind of apparent in the all-new 7-Series and I think it can work if they use the design of the M2 as a framework. I've heard people say that the new M2 gives them E36 M3 vibes and I totally see it. Although its design is definitely boxier.

UNLESS YOU PLAN ON RACING IN IMSA, THESE PARTS ARE MERE DECORATIONS.
I will admit, it does look nice, but there's still that tiny Freaudian line that still makes the M2 a bit of an eye sore to look at- and that's coming from someone who's seen the new M2
If u want the performance parts in the car is overprice it not worthed couse it cost 90,000 for a 2 series I order this car in normal parts and I prefer buy the parts separately to not pay that exaggerating price

I remember one of the automotive magazines observing that the Pontiac Grand Am was “The poor man’s BMW”. Now, BMW is adding plastic side strakes and turning the M2 into a Grand Am.

This version is what an M2 should look like from the beginning, almost rendered for NFS, however now I think it’s screaming for attention and be liked.

I actually like the m2 performance better then the regular m2. I feel like the base model is a combination between classic bmw design and squares, which i don't particularly like, but the performance m2 has much more squares and straight lines, making it a design feature of the car. I don't really like it either, but to me the design feels more consistent around the car.
I also like the fact that the two square intakes on the front look like they are less prominent and more level with all the front of the car, and that is a thing i really don't like of the base m2 model

I mean, i didn't want to sound rude, but I prefer the performance m2, as i said, it feels to me like it has a more consistent design. In my opinion it's not too busy, but I get why you're saing that. We just feel different about the same thing

I got AIDS in my eyes when I saw the normal M2 first time when it came out. Good thing they know the normal M2 is so ugly they had to come up with this this is much better.
The new M2 is brutal in appearance and not as appealing as the OG M2. The biggest disappointment is the missing body crease that used to run along the side of the body and end at the gas cap. Having said, people will get used to the new look. The performance parts look dreadful I must admit. Somebody wasn't trying.

It’s not something new they are just getting back to there original roots. People don’t know that the ultimate driving machine phrase was born from the fact that bmw was the brand that always pushed the envelope by making high performance cars that looked sick. If anything the last 20-25 years bmw lost there touch and now they’re back to what made them a successful brand in the first place.
The additions do nothing more than accentuate how bad the design is. So many straight lines and the front end just reminds me of a cheap Dodge Journey. Sucks that the engineers made it perform so well, and the designers are just so off the rails. They say “it’ll grow on you”…. A good design shouldn’t have to.
Looks a bit tacky however it's not the worst thing I've ever seen. M3 with performance parts looks way more stupid
phony carbon stick-on parts with double sided tape. Give me a break. They sell those at autozone.

i didnt like it at first but now it looks badass because the competition mercedes and audi are getting ugly and too round. bmw is more agressive
