Hey man, good content! Just two things from my side: I would advice cleaning the threads of the hubs with degreaser, brushes, perhaps even a thread chaser and then finally brake cleaner. Furthermore, I had this wheel stud conversion kit on my M2 and they completely corroded. Look forward to more of your content!
I just wanted to come and comment and say that I love that you are a bmw only channel. I just came here after I clicked off seeing some garbage honda with 5.5 sec 0-60 and seeing the owner shill it as fast. I love your channel, and I have worked all summer working on some new software to hopefully get myself an m3 g80 comp xdrive. But god I'm happy there's a place on youtube where I can just watch people drive some good ass cars.
I own a 2017 BMW X5 with the M sport package and I love watching your videos!! I do think about trading my car in for a 3 series as but I’m not ready for that as I do enjoy driving an SUV. The only upgrade I did to it is have it blacked out and I love it even more now!! Thank you for your videos. Keep making them and I’ll keep watching!!
m performance has kit comes with warranty and made for the m2 from the factory drop 15mm all round not alot but just enought to uniform all the wheel gap and will still be daily functional.
Ah bro, it depends. If you have an older car. Let's say 2015 or up, your struts and coils are already on their final stage of life, so a set of coilovers will help. Anyway, just my 0.02.
Yeah brand new cars will have no issues with cheap lowering springs because the suspension is new but for older cars brand new coil overs and bushings etc are the way too go
understand the function of the shield for the oil-cooler - but does it impair the cooling function, i'm not sure...also be careful with springs and spacers. the german m-engineers made a great job with the setup of car, and m-cars are very sensitive in this area, this could have only negative effects, of course it looks better, but the performance get worse.
The performance from my experience has improved. As far as the oil cooler guard, from what I've seen doesn't restrict cooling, as it gets the air from the bottom portion of the front bumper.
I genuinely cannot comprehend how engineers draft cars for hours, months, years, and never ever think of the most basic things to protect the car from speedbumps/ pot holes.
Do you think 18mm would be better in the rear? Seems to be the consensus lately for G87. Just ordered wheels that will be basically like having 15F and 18R spacer fitment. Wondering if 18F/18R would be even better.
I picked up a 2012 Bmw 328i with the 2.0 turbo at an auction on the cheap bc I think someone sabotaged it so they could bid. I was able to figure out all the electrical issues were related to the bad battery and the clock spring. Body is 9/10 interior 9/10 it needs maint, timing chain, shocks struts, brakes rotors, new serpentine belt as it has 120k. An suggestions on mods since I am going to have it torn down? I like the parts you put on the car in the video can I get them for my car
@@bobemanager Don't have before and after unfortunately. But the oil cooler gets air from the opening on the front lower side of the bumper and that remains unchanged.
Those hex screws will be complete aids to remove when they get rusty, way rather keep the 10mm bolt thats so easy to remove, and if u cant just make a anglegrinder cut across and take it with a flathead 🤪
It's not the titles. It's the car itself. Very niche audience for it and not very relatable. Same title with the M5 plugged and it would get 10x the views.
And you are wrong, of course. It has nothing to do with pressure so you are way off base. The correct term for applying torque to a fastener is “pound-foot” (lb-ft) which is a unit of torque and a vector measurement that is created by one pound of force acting on a one foot lever. Not to be confused with the “foot-pound” (or more accurately, “foot-pound-force”), which on the other hand, is a measurement of work and is commonly used to describe engine output. Work is the measurement of force over a given distance. So one foot-pound-force (ft-lbf or just ft-lb) is the energy required to move a one pound object one foot of linear distance.
Spacer 😢 I rather stay safe and functional than the looks that makes my car rin handling. Defiying car maker engineers are no brainer just yo lookk your car cool.
Why would you not expect this from bmw if you own a bmw never ever ever take it to bmw lol your better off with a independent shop I don’t care if it has 200 or 200000 miles 😂😂😂😂

Looks awesome! I look forward to getting my G87 in a few weeks and doing these mods

Looks incredible 👍great job..
I've put spacers on everything. Good brands and (which is usually the case with good brands) HUB CENTRIC!!
I've lost plastic Shields at 100+ mph.
Never enough screws. Especially as they get old and rusty

M2 looking 🔥🔥🔥
Now it looks perfect

Will probably look better. Only thing to worry about is the fender liner fin area that seems to make contact when reversing and doing full lock turns.
That's what I was thinking. Why I went with +15 front to be safe. Can always add a +3mm spacer if anything@@VehicleVirals

What about speed bumps do you hit them every time you drive over them?
Nope
You should say the price when mentioning things like the low cost of the springs.
Price changes. It's why I leave links.
Appreciate the response
I love that color!!!

Damn, bro. Those brakes look BEAT. Were they sitting at a shipping port, or something?!
Yeap
@VehicleVirals pretty sad. You'll be stuck there in the mud your whole life. Damn. Best of luck, bruf!
Nice vid bro
What impact does the oil cooler cover have on temperatures/performance of the oil cooler?
None
@@VehicleVirals Any chance of a before and after measurement comparison of temps? I love the idea...just don't want to risk it affecting the warranty

Buy aftermarket forged wheels stocks are very heavy you get better dynamics aftwards
Tell swap depot to upload
LETS GOOO 😍
Does Lee not upload any more videos to his RUclips channel?
He will soon.
U plan on getting an exhaust?
If I can find one that doesn't sound like 💩
Build coming together very nice bro. Been looking at the G87 but also seeing a lot about G42 xdrive. Thoughts?
S58 > B58. Unless you want Xdrive

The oil cooler guard.
@@VehicleVirals come on dude that’s a rip off 💯😄 that cost not more than $50 to be cut

275/35/19 front and 285/30/20 rear

Bruh make aaly Step on the brakes so you can torque down that properly and easy 😅 I need to get me that conversión forbmy 1er

Disagree with that gap, looks ok because black wheels blend in if they would be silver, then it would be bad
I wish these m2 videos were getting a lot more attention. I honestly just think they aren’t because of the titles
It's not the titles. It's the car itself. Very niche audience for it and not very relatable. Same title with the M5 plugged and it would get 10x the views.
But those aftermarket wheels look a thousand times better.
M2 suspension a budget seems incongruous. It's not a budget car. I'm all for saving $, but if you bought this car budget probably isn't an issue.
If you're going with quality parts, I don't see taking the budget route an issue.
@VehicleVirals it's a dope car regardless.
It's pounds of pressure per square foot.
So I'd argue foot-pounds is correct.

It is pound feet bro dont worry, tell Ali look it up 😅😅
99.9% of car guys are going to shoot for the new wheels lol. This is a good temp fix while you wait 6 months to get your 3 piece wheels delivered lol.
Still think the M2 deserves proper forged wheels, not the 30lb cast boat anchors they put on them.
Yeap. Which is my M2 has forged wheels now.
@@VehicleVirals Ah yea I see your vid now with the Apex's :)
Actually, 77.88lb boat anchors!!
