as someone who also dealt with a traumatic and abusive 3 year relationship (mine was rllllly bad for almost its entirety) I just have to say that this all happening in the spotlight was probably a blessing in disguise and truly a hidden silver lining. I did not tell my friends & family about most of the sh*t I was going through because of the amount of shame abuse brings… if I had or they had just known the way yours did because it was so publicized, I might’ve received the same treatment and support you did. it was beautiful hearing you describe how much they did for you. if you’re going through the same thing- TELL YOUR LOVED ONES. it takes SO much strength to recover from this and sometimes you need to borrow it from others, or the healing process will be so much longer & so much more for you to bare. much love ♥️
