Donald Glover is like an old friend you catch up with once in awhile. He may not be around often but man, when he's around. Feels like I'm catching uo with him after years of being disconnected. I just cherish this man so much.

My favorite part about Atlanta especially the first 3 seasons is you can tell that this was from him and his brother's mind. Not a studio or corporation. It's much more genuine when it's the artist vision.

Sean is an amazing interviewer. He is very very intentional with his questions and still maintains that now... I loved watching him relate to things Donals said and light up when he could relate to a feeling. Just always nice to watch. He keeps that human connection going even after getting this big. Just always such a nice watch.

I actually liked watching Sean more than any other episodes on this one. He was smiling and looked very comfortable. Shows how good of a guest Donald is.

He's always pretty comfortable that's kind of why people come on the show.
Very much agreed! And I also did not want this to end! And yeah Sean does his best with all the guests but as humans, there's not always compatible energy, I think they genuinely vibed!
Sean is so good at matching vibes, that if the guest is sub-par, he'll probably hover there, too, just to make them comfortable. But he can always hang with the greats and they were both transcendent on this one.

Yup, def agree. I’ve been a fan since he was doing Derrick Comedy, pioneering internet comedy on the pre-youtube internet. It’s been crazy watching his career flourish, yet this interview shows how he’s always remained humble.

Long before he hit his mega fame, I worked with him on an indie flick. During the shoot I found out my best friend since birth, my grandfather, had been diagnosed with dementia and cancer. I didn’t tell anyone, and hid in a parking lot to have a moment to be emotional away from everyone, cause I didn’t want to be unprofessional. Apparently Donald saw me, then spent an hour at an arcade claw machine in the bowling alley we were filming in… he won a stuffed fish, handed it to me, and said “you looked like you needed cheering up”. Sweetest thing anyone I was just work acquaintances with has ever done for me. Love the kid.

I saw Childish Gambino live at ACL. It was honestly one of the best performances I've ever seen live. I can't afford to go to a show on his tour, but if anyone has the opportunity they really should.

Atlanta is one of the greatest shows of all time, it was funny, emotional, thoughtful, scary and it was perfect at all of them. A show that I couldn't binge even wanting to, because sometimes I needed to digest what I just watched. God I wish I could watch it for the first time again, however rewatching is still special.
This show really just gets better and better, Sean knows how to maintain the vibe.
