I don't watch this show alot, but thank you for getting Mr. Dinklage to come on. Made my morning!
I was a huge fan until this genuine soul complained about the stereotype of Dwarves in the new Snow White remake, making sure that no other actors with dwarfism could work on the project because Disney immediately changed them to "magical creatures" the day after he made a stink about. Yeah, good guy . . . take away one of the few limited projects for actors with dwarfism. I have no problem with his opinion on the stereotype, but when you start f'ing over the people you are trying to help, you need to take a different approach.

I love that he’s addressing everyone in the room and also us while he teaches us cool stuff
Peter Dinklage!! What a guy! Couldn’t press play fast enough. He’s so funny, honest and kind. One of the best guests yet ❤
If only he wasn't gatekeeping his fellow dwarf actors in the industry.
You mean the guy who complains about hiring dwarves for Snow White, removing other dwarves who would have been happy to be cast for it the possibility to get job? This dude is supposed to be honest and kind?
@@mang4260 Imagine winning a golden globe, 4 Emmys and 2 SAGAs and making 30 million for GOT and then deciding you know what this is not right🤣
@ghostofamoment manger must not have ever heard what Peter has said about this topic...some people just need to throw shade..
He's incredibly boring lol. He wants to be an edgy man of culture like a cross between Anthony Bourdain and Ian McKellan, but really he's just the snob dwarf actor, and not some tortured thespian with a unique worldview 😂
Peter Dinklage is an absolute legend. What a guy. Humble, intelligent, erudite, funny, articulate, and handled Hot Ones like a total boss. I'm captivated by his every syllable. Love this guy.
lol
I just learned a new word thank you
This was by far the best one of these that I’ve watched so far. What an inspiring man. Honest, aware, humble, and incredibly thoughtful. This is a person Who knows acting on a whole other level. What a spectacular interview. Thank you for this one!
26:35 he summed up the epicness of hot ones very well! Great episode!
Extraordinary man with great thoughtfulness, intelligence, and dignity. I cannot help but respect him as an artist. AND he knocked back those wings with total coolness and NO drama. Never saw anything like it. My respects.
Except for ruining the chances of real life dwarves to get a job in Hollywood and star in the new Cinderella but sure
🎯💯
Respect for what? Taking away all acting opportunities for dwarves? He deserves no respect. None.
I'd rather take my used TP, frame it in gold, and hang it on my front door for the world to see before I'd ever show Dinklehead an ounce of respect
Peter ate those wings without issue. He's a trooper! Also he was so and complimentary toward Sean after the interview was over. I "think" he may have been a bit nervous about the challenge prior to doing it. I love how his daughter made sure he was prepared for it. How sweet.
Peter Dinklage deserves an Oscar! He's an incredible actor!
Quite possibly my favorite episode now 😍 Peter was awesome. I loved hearing him share stories, talk about Charles Dance, his response when Sean mentioned his first movie, the stuff his daughter gave him to help him out 🥹 calling Sean “stalker” and how he came with an appetite and just ate his way through all of that spice. You’re a legend Peter! Thanks for a great interview :)
Peter is just so human. His voice is wonderfully soothing as well. Love him!
Plus, he can handle spice!
But he can't handle another dwarf actor taking a role away from him. He deserves to be what he's done to the rest of little people in hollywood. Cancelled.
“Comedy is tragedy, plus time” is such a wonderful way of looking at it.
It's a pretty old, famous saying.
that has been a saying for decades
timing*
Engels, one of the fathers of socialism, is credited with saying it though Mark Twain truly made it famous.
@@BlackDiamond2718 Wrong, but Eugene Mirman has a funny bit about that.
Out of all the countless actors you've had on this show, I feel like this is the first real actor you've had on this show. What an incredible man.
You could feel the emotion in Peter's voice in his final answer at 23:54. My eyes started watering up and I am not even having hot sauce. Was fine until the final 3 sentences or so where you can see the past pain in his eyes and where he is now.. Just beautiful.
It's almost like he's an actor.
You could feel his struggle
@@toobsteak Him being an actor has nothing to do with him speaking from the heart about where he came from and that finally finding a group of people that care for him just made him whole.
@@toobsteak It's almost like you're an empty cynic who spends his time lashing out at people on the internet instead of accomplishing anything meaningful.
@@kreb12 you would think that. You're also ignorant.
Dinklage is a compelling person. He's a nice guy while not trying hard to be nice. Seems very comfortable in his own skin.
Also, seems like he would be an interesting loyal friend and very good company.
He deserves his success by the looks of things!
You know, sometimes Sean reaches a level with the guests where they just seem to open up so much that I end up loving them. I’m currently watching GOT for the first time and I think Peter is extraordinary in it, but now I want to go watch other things he has been in. This was wonderful.
Definitely check out Station Agent, then. There's a lot to love about that film.
Peter's role in Elf with Will Ferrell is hilarious!
This is the exact same reason Howard Stern I should say I'm talking about now Howard Stern not 90s Howard Stern is so popular and his interviews are so successful I'd say Sean Evans is right there behind him if he keeps this up
You're watching it for the first time?!!! I wish I could go back and watch it all for the first time again. What season are you on so far?
@kareningram6093 the station agent is one of my favorites. All the feels and emotions. Very good recommendation.
Man, one of the most articulate big time Hollywood actors I’ve seen. Seems like a super humble down to earth guy.
26:53 His answer where the dialogue is the most important aspect for a film is totally spot on for me. When you do an adaptation from books especially, like a Game of Thrones, if you don't have great contextual dialogue, making the jump from book to screen just doesn't really compute for a lot of people. I don't watch this show alot, but thank you for getting Mr. Dinklage to come on. Made my morning!
Uh check the time you posted
I just got an ad about venom doing the hot ones 😂

uh yeah, they set that up bozo. Wasn't rando chance
@@RedRipeRaspberries don’t call me that

Wow, I've never heard Peter outside of acting. What a levelheaded sweet guy ... I could listen to him all day
Just when you think you can't love him any more, here he is on Hot Ones just being an amazing person. Love his stories.
Probably one of the best actors of our time. He steals every scene he’s in
Yeah, he definitely steals scenes…. And all the other jobs from dwarf actors. And then discriminates and plays the victim card. This guy is a scumbag.
he's also aged like wine
This is the best episode I've seen in a while, and that's not to diminish the others - Hot Ones just sets a really high bar.
Wow. That's a bit insensitive. Sheesh.
Jk
Peter is such a great actor. What a genuine soul. Really liked this episode and look forward to watching his movie.
Call me Elf ONE more time. Love Peter. Great actor.
If anyone hasn’t seen The Station Agent. Watch it. It’s one of my favorites and so beautiful.
The only thing I remember from the film is how it made me feel. Like it was beautiful and heartbreaking, but no details.
Absolutely agree. I was introduced to Peter Dinklage through this movie. It’s truly beautiful.
A masterpiece. Began my love of Peter Dinklage.
What a lovely man, so funny and so well spoken when he is serious
_You are correct._
Didn't he gatekeeping acting opportunities from other guys like him

Seriously though, Peter comes off as such a man’s man here. Intelligent, strong and well spoken. Loved his charisma and presence throughout this entire episode!
Peter Dinklage is one of the best actors of our generation and I am so happy he got on here and handled it so perfectly. Cyrano and Station Agent were two incredible films.
First interview I've seen of P. Dinklage, and what a masculine, emotionally intelligent and articulate man he comes across as
Perfect description. He’s my dream man, I think 😅

The "I will be your champion"scene with Peter and Pedro Pascal was one of the greatest acted scenes ever on tv
Agree 100%.
His voice is outstanding. Can't hear it often enough.
What an incredible charismatic and charming man, he killed this interview
My favorite Peter Dinklage performance is in such an under underrated movie, The Station Agent. It's a simple movie with a simple setting in a simple town but with some of the most beautiful performances. Thank you Peter for giving one of the greatest performances I've watched in cinema
That is one of my favorite films. Everyone does an amazing job and they really fill the movie with emotion.
@@arquebusx Same!
I agree! One of my favorite movies! Peter is such a class act!
LOVED THIS MOVIE !!!!!
Love listening to Peter talk about acting. He’s a true craftsman and great human being.
"Elf" was my introduction to Peter. And I've been a fan ever since.
You really have to appreciate the lighthearted professionalism Peter carries himself with. He said it himself “what you see should be what you get” and I think he does just that in this setting. Very admirable, I see why he is so well respected
Dinklage just enjyoed a nice meal of hotwings, and had some fun with Sean like he was an old friend
Really wonderful time~
Peter Dinklage is such a lovable and humble personality. It fees like it would be so easy to have an extended and easy conversation with him. And so funny!
Massive respect to him as an actor for his incredible work as well.
Episodes are automatically 5x better when the guest know and are fans of the show! Great episode!
This was EPIC! An instant classic episode with an entertaining guest with a "not gonna back down from Da Bomb" attitude. We needed this man on Hot Ones.....
Charles Dance was the best casted person on Game of Thrones. Such an amazing actor
Dance is always great, but the whole cast was extremely well, um, cast.
The fact he skinned that deer in his first scene is insane lol
He was my favorite character on GoT. Absolutely nailed every scene
He's also an amazing director.
I think you could say that for quite a few caracters
Peter Dinklage has such a calming aura. Love this interview.
I truly believe when Peter dinklage came into this world a legend was born.
You Sir are both a Gentleman and a Scholar.
god said "you can have a little legend, as a treat"
I adore Peter Dinklage. He’s so talented, so intelligent and humble. I love the devotion he has to his craft
Re: 02:30 - Richard E Grant had never had a drop before playing Withnail, BUT he did grow up with a raging alcoholic for a father (who once tried to shoot Richard), so he'd definitely been around enough drunkeness to know how to capture it.
He's basically allergic to alcohol so he could never try it - but after a request from the director he tried it once to get a feel for the part but felt awful afterwards
Such a great film, and Richard seems like a cool guy.

Mr Dinklage is always going to be one of my favourites. What a legend!
He is a complete hypocrite who played a hand in taking away 7 job opportunities for 7 dwarves
Shoutout to Sean for mentioning The Station Agent. It's a beautiful, sad, thoughtful movie that doesn't get enough credit.
What a BOSS! Absolutely enjoyed this interview. Mr. Peter Dinklage is a soul I’d love to hang out with. Seems so down to earth, friendly, kind, and calm. I’d love to just have a conversation with him. Maybe one day.
