I wouldn’t be surprised if the same could be said about the typical, plain white bread in the US too. A lot of bread in the US is too sweet (unless you get the fancy artisan loaves).

The way he says "healthy snack" knowing full well what and how he's saying it. Also that empanada sounds so good. Thanks for doing this, been wanting a new Pedro tries...
The empanada is something that fills me with pride tbh. The stuffing is so cleverly combined, it's a more complex flavor than other empanadas and it's oven baked so the bread is crunchy on the outside and soft and moist on the inside, also healthier than fried empanadas.

I got nothing but respect for pedro pascal, his performance as mando and lately his performance as joel. Dude is a tour de force of acting even without saying a word. Dude has chemistry with everyone. Also, I love reece's and damn empanadas are great. I wanna visit South America, and definitely have chile on a bucket list.
6:39 Pedro looking at the camera saying "a healthy snack" lol. He knew what he was doing. What an entertainer and funny person!
Best part of this video
"So we're supposed to guess if this is cake or not, or is that a different show?" Jon's so funny
4:58 Pedro spitting out the cookie like a 5 year old spitting a vegetable they don’t like is so funny. 😂
Adore how much he loves his Chilean culture ❤
Wow, as a guy who's born in America to Chilean immigrant parents, This video feels so personal.
Leche con platano, empanadas, avocado toast in the morning, manjar, pastries... super 8 that my cousins would bring me from Chile. Every single thing on this list has been a big part of my family life lol.

Marraqueta with palta
@@Bruh_shogun not the way my mom makes it lol. She doesn't make marraqueta
The way he bites it the burger is simply mouth watering. Now I’m craving a burger. I’d love to try Chilean food 🥘
I think it speaks to Pedro as a person that he takes the time to explain things to the producer when questions arise. No ego to it. No judgement to it.
One of the few things that makes me feel proud of being Chilean is the fact that Pedro Pascal loves this country so much 🥺🇨🇱🇨🇱🇨🇱🇨🇱🇨🇱

Food is to be shared. In Chile (as also many other places) it’s rude to eat in front of friends or family without offering.
@@hopsiepike yeah, it’s always been that way in our family and culture. It’s very refreshing to see others enjoying it too
Someone needs to interview Pedro and make him explain the concept of "la once" to people all over the world. That would be a world wide mind blow

He also had a Netfliz shoiw about that.

Me gusta que Pedro se muestre como un hombre de mundo y analice toda la comida en su contexto. Seguro qué cuando recibe la visita de un amigo le dice "en este restaurante preparan el mejor..." .
there's nothing more relaxing than watching Jon Favreau and Pedro Pascal eat, and talk about food. 😊😊
Ok, all jokes aside, the man is actually very adorable, like an old golden retriever. Yes, I'm talking about grandpa Pedro.

I visited Chile once to stay with a host family and they introduced me to Manjar. Glorious stuff, I don't think I was supposed to bring food over the border but I smuggled some manjar home, which I then had for breakfast for a while and it was very sad when it ran out XD

The clip of him eating the little sandwich lives rent free in my head 😄
I love how Pedro was like "this is not a desqualification" about the leche con plátano, because it would be better in Chile. I don't know why, but I'm sure It would really be better in Chile
Leche con platano goat
In chile the milk is really good. The Cooperative Colun sells entire milk, not a juice-like, is real milk! I was in USA once and in the supermarket was impossible to find real milk. If you came someday to Chile, let's try the difference. That's why the banana with milk is better in Chile than the US.
Is because of the flavor that our platanos have and the taste of the milk, is simply amazing, is like the morning energy drink, you get that plus pna con palta or manjar and you get enough energy for 6 hours
its made with real milk and it fuckin shows
The milk they used was condensed milk not real milk but agree everything taste better in Chile. My mom said even the tea tasted better because of the water, the firewood used to boil the water and the little cinnamon stick you put in the tea 😊
En Chile estamos orgulloso de tener un chileno actor mundial de verdad y no a medias ni más o menos. Es de calidad mundial y punto. Saludos desde Chile y vivan las "Empanadas.
hearing him speak Spanish is my favorite part AND I LOVE REESE'S TOO and Jon seems like a fantastic person!!!
I'm a Bolivian living in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma... seeing that marraqueta almost made me cry. That is THE best bread that you buy from a vendor on the corner every single morning. They usually have them in a big canvas sack or basket and its the absolute best.
Half of my dad's family is Chilean and when I visited for the first time, all the food was delicious. I can't even begin to describe how good their food is. Pedro is right, Chile does sweets and bread probably better than the US. I hope I can go back to Chile one day
(Edit) I didn’t mean to start a war in the comments I was just stating my opinion😅
Glad you liked our food, hope yoy can comeback
Well, to be fair, making sweets and bread better than the US is not very hard.
There’s literally every ethnicity and culture in the world in the US including Chilean lol. White people food is not “the US” bro
@@SE-gs6gd well what I meant is like better than hamburgers and fries and fried stuff like that. To go see Chile for myself and experience the food that my own distant uncles and aunts made tasted better to me. It’s just my opinion tho.
@@esperanzamoore6655 This is because you only had it a few times and it was during an emotional and meaningful trip. This is the psychology of why everyone likes the food better when they travel.
I lived in Chile for 5 years and the food was pretty good, but after a while you really start to miss what you’re used to and the flavors that are familiar to you.
Pedro is such a gem and always a joy to watch! It's hard not to crack a smile when he's around!
As a white guy born and raised in NY and moving into a Chilean home with my fiancé, this is super cool to see. They always bought back Super Ocho’s from Chile . Bread is a staple as well. So good. Just missing some lentejas

@Connor Dakoz not looking for problems, just wanted to know. Chilean are also white people, he's not talking about Africa or something. That's why I was curious.
@@javierfernandez6030 Hey dummy.. Africa is a continent and white Africans exist. Most Chileans look nothing like Pedro btw. 🙄 his color is relevant because like Pedro, he is white. Obviously.
As a latina I highly support all of Pedro's choices ♥️
I’m so impressed ! Producers / people behind LADbible tv did their research pretty well! I’m so happy about this tbh, both of our national treasure on one video just made my day pan con palta and Pedro Pascal
Seems like they did lots of research on Chilean food, but then swapped out US with UK substitutions. I live in California, and I've never seen those Mars cookies in my life. And Jon straight up said that the quarter pounder in the UK was different. The substitutions were kind of a mess.
@@3DRotoGirl maybe, Chilean snacks are still better tho. But to be fair the competition wasn't even fair, there's no way McDonalds food and that bread would be better than a good marraqueta and a good empanada.
Pedro just sounds so wholesome talking about the food of his homeland.
Im Chilean American and I feel like Pedro pascual is my successful tio/uncle that I get to see on the big screen because he’s always travelling

This is Pedro's year, he is killing it in The Last Of Us, now we have The Mandalorian season 3.
We need more episodes of both of them eating snacks.
Their own show, you say?
Pedro is Chilean, so this was a nostalgic trip for him. I’m sure he misses foods from home.
He eats them every time he comes to visit his family.
And now he knows there is a chilean restaurant near by so he can taste home anytime he wants without traveling!
The way he closed his eyes when he bit into the empanada. I felt that, he was seeing flashbacks of his childhood.
