I've never wondered before, but I wondered watching this whether they re-record any of the things that they interviewer and the polygraph man say. There must be times when they laugh or at least crack a smile. So then, it would make sense for those bits to be re-recorded separately to fit with the appearance of seriousness of a polygraph.
