Never bought this one. Will still watch every video Ace puts out. Ace is a pillar of the community at this point and I will continue to support his content even if I don’t play the actual game because we need people like him to do what they do.
I'm glad season 2 got delayed, I've still got so much to do. There's weapons I've never even used yet, there's game modes I haven't even had time to try yet, I still haven't tried warzone, co-op, 3rd person mode, Invasion, tons of camos left to get, dmz things to do, etc. I've got about 200 hours in, and there's still so much remaining.
Like many, I was dreading using this gun to unlock the autumn camo. However, I quickly realized that this gun had a major glow-up from MW2019. Very satisfying to use
One of the first camos I went for. Already got Orion now but I just wish they would make Autumn Returns a little bit brighter and I would honestly rock it over Orion on some classes
I was loathing having to use this gun for camos, but it actually had ended up being one of my favorite guns even on shipment. When your shot is on this thing is unbeatable as long as you don't get flinched first. Especially on controller with aim assist after getting warmed up I was getting like 5x headshot feeds and shit.
The missus and I have been waiting for this particular gun guide (mainly after your anti-killstreak SO-14 video! The EBR-14 needs to be lvl'd up before the SO-14 can be unlocked), so thanks for this The CoD series has been something that we've bonded over since the original MWII game, and she was the one that introduced me to your channel around the time Infinite Warfare was popular (our fav game to date btw lol). I’ve always been a fan of the M14 platform and was super disappointed in MW19’s EBR. But this one is great, I absolutely love it. I think this is the best M14 variant we’ve had in COD since the 2 shot monster EBR from Ghosts.
MK14/garand has always been my favorite weapon in cod and I'm glad they did it justice this time around, and my favorite marksman in this game alongside the TacM
@@kw2519 I don't even kit it out for damage range really, pretty sure I just use an ADS only laser and the aiming stability only under barrel. Seems to one shot out to medium-ish range. Has to be a headshot if you weren't aware.
I've always appreciated the M14 EBR as a cool weapon, so it was quite a pleasant surprise to see it's very competent in MWII! Super satisfying to land consecutive headshots and it feels much better than it did in MW19
I really enjoyed grinding this gun. I think this is one the best "M14" style guns we've had in COD in a long time. I still like to use it to mix it up a bit instead of sticking with ARs/SMGs. It's a fun gun.
There's a couple of them that are absolutely awful lol I think the EBR is the best semi auto or at least in the top 2-3 (I'm including semi auto battle rifles in that since half of them are basically marksman rifles).
Mazing gun. Favourite. Use for all my main tactical builds Usually with p980 best pistol in game (also best looking) with fastdraw. Have one setup for basic games, and one for Groundwar, with bigger scope and spotter scope. Great counter sniper and general combat rifle.
Ace! I highly recommend looking into Aim Walking Stability tuning. Especially for when you get to the Lockwood Mk2 marksman rifle! The marksman rifles are incredible when kitted AND tuned for stability, aim walking steadiness, and walking speed. I'm sure you get these all the time, but please, if it's not too late try the following Steady-Aim-Walking build for the Lockwood Mk2: 1. Optic: your preference for type and tune, OR Barrel: Lockwood Frontiersman Weight -0.44lb, Length -0.20in 2. Muzzle: FTAC Dreadnought - Weight -0.72Oz, Length -0.77in, OR Barrel: Lockwood Frontiersman Weight -0.44lb, Length -0.20in 3. Guard: Lockwood Combat Guard - Weight +0.17lb, Length -0.17in 4. Underbarrel: Agent Grip - Weight -0.57oz, Length -0.15in 5. Comb: Lockwood Merciless - Weight -0.24oz, Length +0.17in With the above you can stay ADS'd and be super steady for snap shots, even while walking
I had to level it for some camo/attachment and found it surprisingly nice to use, especially seeing how grinding most marksman/sniper rifles was such a chore this one was easy and fun
this is my go-to for DMZ. 20 round mag and a variable scope means picking people off down range, and putting the semi-auto to good use in close quarters. You need to be more reactive and precise since it's not full-auto, but it still hits like a truck
@@KekusMagnus That's my one gripe with it. I'll clear out one AI compound, look down and realize I'm empty 💀 the SO-14 is a decent substitution, but weaker overall so you really have to pick your shots
This has been my DMZ gun for the past week. it has the option for the suppressor that doesn't wreck your aim stability and can one shot a bot in the head or two in the torso while having 18-19 more rounds in the mag for their buddies if they get a little wiggly, and with the 20 round you can easily take down a few heavily armored units. haven't had a run in with a PVP yet with it, but I'll let you know how that goes.
@@ValikLetsPlay Munition boxes are still free to start with and cheap at buy stations so you should be able to stay topped off in between gunfights especially if you can land headshots and preserve your ammo
I run a lot of builds for unlocking stuff and experiments but the EBR-14 is still hands down the gun I pull out (with the fake P90) when I feel like I need to get things done and I'm done playing around. Double taps for days, don't even worry about the heads unless that's all you can see. And it's just so consistent~
i always try to recreate the M21 in all CoDs. The main reason for me to buy newer CoDs at all. Best gun in HC, can compete at short range with smgs, long range with snipers and all in between. The perfect gun for a zombie apocalypse. If you manage its flaws, its hopping from head to head, if you know what i mean.
EBR is one of my favorite guns in the game. I have my third best K/D with it, only lower than RPK and M4 in multiplayer. I like using a 5.5 scope on it it's like a mini sniper. The follow up shot time makes it much more forgiving than other marksman rifles like Taq M. I think EBR is the best marksman rifle and easily A+ tier
@@stand-redoxszone6362 I like using it more to snipe, especially on maps like Taraq. And I run overkill with a fennec to clear those corners and inside buildings. And I haven't really found a better loadout. Called in plenty of Vitols with this combo
I hadn't played a CoD (or any PvP shooter) in forever, so when I tried to use the EBR-14 for the first time I did absolutely horrible (since the fire rate was so slow), but by the time I leveled up all my assault rifles and moved on to Marksman Rifles I was doing SO much better... At first I wasn't wanting to use it again because I had done so bad with it before, but I ended feeling like I maxed the level too fast lol.
Found it to be more reliant to use compared to its SO14 counterpart, the loss in recoil, consistentency, 1 headshot potential and slower ads isn't worth trading for a higher mag capacity and fire rate, which is disappointing to say the least due to progression path of the EBR as other battle rifles perform better but to fix this they should alter its stats to bring it more in-line.
In 6v6, the LM-S is better. It also kills in two shots to the body, one shot to the head, but has a much higher fire rate, and doesn't have as much recoil as the FTAC. The EBR-14's headshot range is longer, at 63m vs 48m for the LM-S, but you won't feel that as much in 6v6. Upper and lower torso two shot range ends for LM-S as far as 68m. The recoil is higher, but slowing down at long range and shooting LM-S at the fire rate of the EBR-14 results in a similar experience. Attachments to reduce recoil for the LM-S are more required, however, especially recoil smoothness helps lower the jerkiness that you don't really feel with the EBR-14. EBR-14 in 6v6 still has its niche as an anti-sniper, though, one-shot headshotting at absurd ranges.
Exactly, the LMS is underrated and outclasses most other semi autos except for the ftac since that one excels in its own niche. I like using both the ftac and lms in different situations
Hey Ace, I wanted to bring something to your attention. You said in your avoid SBMM video that the matchmaking generally had a 1-minute cut off before just throwing someone in a match. I’ve had multiple instances where I’ve followed your instruction and it’s taken 3-5 minutes to find a lobby, and sometimes it force closes/disconnects my XBOX Series X from the internet briefly. Never seen this happen before
I love this gun! I have 3 different setups one of them I pair it with the Fennick smg! I sometimes get hit makers! However, on tier one the EBR a beast!
If you get a hit marker use a speed based x12 to finish that Quickdraw grip mkaes it a nasty secondary to finish of those who don't die to your first shot
Ebr was a very nice gun this year. I actually have it as a regular class now although I’ll say it feels like it got a slight stealth nerf I swear it doesn’t handle as fast as it used to but it’s still fun to use
I'm sorry to come just asking for videos, but I've been noticing some things with the recoil and sprintout speed, and my measurements haven't been to precise. First is that, at least in some guns, most notably the x13 with the Impact Point attachment (the barrel that makes it a SMG), the recoil stabilization becomes worse when adding attachments that help with recoil control. Althought in this specific case, the recoil just becomes way worse when adding a stock, when it is supposed to help, so it could be a bug, but I tested it with the TAQ V, Kastov 762, STB, MX9 and some others and if I go for builds focused on mobility, the recoil stabilization seems to improve. The overal recoil is increased, but there seems to be less side to side bounce, and with the right tuning and joystick control, you can get the kills faster and with less bullets. The second thing is that it would seem that improving ADS time can let you shoot sooner after sprintout compared to just hip firing after sprintout, but I feel I'm doing wrong my measurements here. And the last thing is if the perk that makes you go into last stand reduces your health, makes you receive more damage, stops you from hearing the last shots that hit you, or if there is something going on with the net code, because it feels like you go into last stand faster than you normally die without it. This is what keeps me up at night right now, Thanks! 😅
Ace with your set ups you're not ever doing any tuning still as you've said before with the hardcoded data now available or you will tune attachments a bit now adays?
I already have Orion, I was struggling with double kills back when I unlocked the challenge back in november. I only got 3 doubles in four hours playing, stressed quit, and the next day got the rest in my first match with almost no effort.
I love how when there’s a gun that’s not quickscoping or instant ttk ar or smg people call it trash They just don’t know how to play to its strengths, like most lmgs
I’ve been wanting a counter sniper gun for WZ and have used the TAQ M a few times but it feels like it has a lot of recoil. This thing have almost no recoil would be perfect as an counter sniper gun when rapid firing.
EBR + Akimbo P890’s is one of my favorite MP combos. As a PC player accurately hitting shots isn’t that hard and the key binded for holding breath is very easy to click, so I do that often without even realizing too. (Is the holding breath button awkward to use on console? Ace made it seem like it somehow takes away from your gameplay in other aspects) and the Akimbo’s outgun SMG’s AR’s and even shotguns close range so that covers it’s weakness. At long-medium range it’s solid and is pretty much outgunning or is equivalent to most guns if you hit your shots. It also has pretty controllable recoil by default so you can add a few Mobility attachments too.
Just something to keep in mind, the hold breath does slow down your ADS walking speed pretty noticeably too. And yeah, on controller you have to press down your movement stick to hold breath which can be pretty awkward
I really enjoy using it but for wz quads, which is what i mostly play, the ammo limit is pretty annoying. Also, not competitive enough for RPKzone unfortunately…
I tried to like this gun but ended up switching back over to the Lachman 762, that or the FTAC is the only one shot weapon that I find is actually viable

I like how the EBR in mw19 had heavy recoil while the mw22 has zero. Makes it so much more satisfying to use!

Great gun. This and the LM-S are slept on for sure. One and two taps all day. The fire rate on the Taq-M however, makes me want the long sleep.
How did you set up the ebr to be one shot or two shot? I have to be shotgun close to get a one hit
Taq-m is better than the LMS and EBR. Not even kidding, my favorite semi-auto in the game

Ace, the TV Wrecker grip reduces idle sway (also improves hip fire) without ANY penalty and it's stability is better than the Sharkfin grip.
I thought TV Wrecker affected steadiness while moving. Still a primo grip though.

I built this just like the MK.14 EBR from OG MW2, one of the funnest builds I’ve used during camo grinding. Excellent for DMZ with a suppressor!

Agreed. The irons are clearer than in MW and it has much less recoil. It was great to use right out of the box.
It is actually one of my favorites in the game, and I use an accuracy build.
I miss the headshot multiplier from MW2019 where it was a one-shot from all ranges. Perfect for counter sniping.
I actually own this rifle and it is super fun to shoot IRL. Unfortunately I am trash at CoD and never use it in game 😅

You might consider testing the scopes for the slower ADS Marksman Rifles and Snipers. Some give quicker ADS times and can be tuned.
I love these marksman rifles and battle rifles especially in tier 1.

40rnds in reserve is not nearly enough, I don't count the gun as a viable option only because of this fact

I'm sorry to come just asking for videos, but I've been noticing some things with the recoil and sprintout speed, and my measurements haven't been to precise.
First is that, at least in some guns, most notably the x13 with the Impact Point attachment (the barrel that makes it a SMG), the recoil stabilization becomes worse when adding attachments that help with recoil control. Althought in this specific case, the recoil just becomes way worse when adding a stock, when it is supposed to help, so it could be a bug, but I tested it with the TAQ V, Kastov 762, STB, MX9 and some others and if I go for builds focused on mobility, the recoil stabilization seems to improve. The overal recoil is increased, but there seems to be less side to side bounce, and with the right tuning and joystick control, you can get the kills faster and with less bullets.
The second thing is that it would seem that improving ADS time can let you shoot sooner after sprintout compared to just hip firing after sprintout, but I feel I'm doing wrong my measurements here.
And the last thing is if the perk that makes you go into last stand reduces your health, makes you receive more damage, stops you from hearing the last shots that hit you, or if there is something going on with the net code, because it feels like you go into last stand faster than you normally die without it.

Ace with your set ups you're not ever doing any tuning still as you've said before with the hardcoded data now available or you will tune attachments a bit now adays?
One best gun in HC/Tier1 modes. One shot kill any distance and can drop enemy team with one magasine
I loved the EBR, my only issue was getting the double kills challenge, and that was mostly luck based enemy position.
If you struggle with double kills and want to take a break from shipment play hardpoint
I already have Orion, I was struggling with double kills back when I unlocked the challenge back in november. I only got 3 doubles in four hours playing, stressed quit, and the next day got the rest in my first match with almost no effort.
Other than that issue the EBR was a breeze.
Love your guides. Just can’t tell between the 2, 3, and 4 shot kill ranges being colorblind. They all look one color😢

The ebr14 and LM-S wreck all in tier 1. They’re my fastest killing to Orion weapons.

I’ve been wanting a counter sniper gun for WZ and have used the TAQ M a few times but it feels like it has a lot of recoil. This thing have almost no recoil would be perfect as an counter sniper gun when rapid firing.
I run factory stock and sniper scope OLE Lazer super fun to snipe with
EBR + Akimbo P890’s is one of my favorite MP combos. As a PC player accurately hitting shots isn’t that hard and the key binded for holding breath is very easy to click, so I do that often without even realizing too. (Is the holding breath button awkward to use on console? Ace made it seem like it somehow takes away from your gameplay in other aspects) and the Akimbo’s outgun SMG’s AR’s and even shotguns close range so that covers it’s weakness. At long-medium range it’s solid and is pretty much outgunning or is equivalent to most guns if you hit your shots. It also has pretty controllable recoil by default so you can add a few Mobility attachments too.
Just something to keep in mind, the hold breath does slow down your ADS walking speed pretty noticeably too. And yeah, on controller you have to press down your movement stick to hold breath which can be pretty awkward

IMO, this is one of the top 3 weapons in the game. Keep in mind I haven't started the smg's yet

I really enjoy using it but for wz quads, which is what i mostly play, the ammo limit is pretty annoying. Also, not competitive enough for RPKzone unfortunately…
The chartreuse and yellow on the damage range diagram is messing with my color blind eyes. I see no differences.
I tried to like this gun but ended up switching back over to the Lachman 762, that or the FTAC is the only one shot weapon that I find is actually viable
Mother of those are 1 shot unless to the head and the Lachman 762 is one of the worst guns in the game
