For everyone saying it's easy, it's not particularly hard, you just have to play in a way no one wants to play. Wait and suprise people. There is no skill in no scoping, it's flashy but 90% luck if you're any distance away from the enemy player. I got it done ages ago, one of the first guns I got gold but can't say I enjoyed it.

I kind of like the MCPR, but I have found that once you get the attachments unlocked for the snipers, they’re all much of the muchness. They’re all good, it just comes down to which one you prefer to use and are better with than the other. Personally, I like the LA-B the most, I know others are really into the SP-X, and for Warzone, the Signal is king. After this video, though, I think I’m going to revisit the MCPR and see if I can come up with a fun build. Maybe iron sights, maybe canted laser.
the most balanced sniper, used to be my favorite but recently i’ve found that the other 3 snipers are better jn S&D if you put yourself into the situations they’re best for (XMR for long range, SPX for short/mid, signal for holding a narrow lane)

I’m surprised you never mentioned that this is the only sniper rifle that has an iron sights option. How would you change your aggressive build, if at all if you were to add that instead of the VLK 4.0 optic? The iron sights are also a unique attachment, so stats for that, if any, would be appreciated.
I really don’t mind the MCPR. Great one round kill areas up to 57 meters and it has a 10 round magazine by default, which is a lot for a bolt-action gun in my opinion.
This might just be me but I really do love using the bolt action snipers and quick scoping with them but without using any big ads improvement attachments, like I might use a different scope that has a reticle that I enjoy more than the default one but that's about it. There's really no deep reason behind it, but I do think it's pretty funny quick scoping people with a default build rifle

Which is better for Aiming Stability: Lasers or Flashlights? I've been using the last flashlight to get the sprint out bonus as well as stability. I don't have the patience that you do for testing, but I feel like the stability bonus of the lights is similar to the lasers. Plus, you aren't contributing to the laser light show that every match turns into. Have you compared the two at all?
This is my favorite sniper after the Lynx. I'd like to point out, I'm pretty sure (correct me if I'm wrong) it's the only "Sniper Rifle" (Non-marksman rifle) that can use the canted laser to let you aim by using the laser. Its super fun to run with, especially because I think it looks and sounds better than the marksman rifles.
When it comes to the balanced build, I would sacrifice the bolt for something like a suppressor, or maybe one of those scopes with the same zoom but faster ADS (they exist).
I believe this is the only sniper-rifle that allows iron sights, which is fun... I've built it slightly differently for proper sniping tho, but to be fair, this time around most sniper-rifles are pretty much interchangeable... only one I dislike is the LA-B, better off using one of the marksman bolt action... I think you are way too focused on ADS speed, its not the end all be all. Plus having a quick ADS for sniping isnt that important unless youre quickscoping and the only good sniper for that is the SPX.
The best build I found for quick scoping at least is this build, Use the Schlager 3.4x optic, FSS OLe-V Laser, 17.5" Orca Barrel, FSS Merc Stock, and to make this gun good at range use the .300 High velocity, if not than use the 5 round mag for max speed.
An absolute must-have with snipers/marksman rifles for me is the flinch resistance rear grip which makes it so much easier to win fights while getting shot
This gun recenters better than almost any of the other snipers plus the 10 round mag makes it super fun for quickscoping. The marksmans, the Lynx, and the MSR are still better but I still like this gun.
imo for the balanced build the cornerstone bipod wouldve been the best move instead of the bolt. unless it secretly hurts ads speed, it functions as a very good way to eliminate sway if youre hanging back or wanting to prone, and the only thing it states that it hurts is ads walking speed, which, who really cares.
I must say, long-range sniping on groundwar was pretty fun with all of the snipers. Especially after onlocking the scope from the victus with the rangefinder. Gonna countersnipe these rooftop campers
SP-X80 is better for 6v6, but MCPR is awesome for DMZ/WZ. Yes, Victus has more range, and I’ve used that too, but overly long shots just aren’t that common, and the default 10-round mag of the MCPR is critical when using scarce ammo in the DMZ. Also, I was using the long barrel on the MCPR but have since dropped it and haven’t notice any discernible difference. Bullet velocity with high velocity ammo is more than sufficient. FTAC LOCUS SP scope for the win.
For 6v6 I go for max ads reduction without using laser or changing the optic with a the faster bolt. Besides the signal 50 and xmr I run the other 3 snipers the same.

My favorite gun, has laser, ironsights, and if u have the awful anime sight on it covers like the whole screen, making it look hard to use, lots of fun and custumixmzation!
I set this rifle up with anything that would give me the longest damage range and use a bi-pod for stability. I then use it to pick people off who are camping on rooftops or in windows in invasion or ground war. I get so many people cussing me out in the death coms and post game chat. I'm not going to apologize. I use bolt action rifles the way God intended.
While I want to like the SP-X better, the MCPR just feels like a mans sniper. It makes the SP-X feel like a strong Marksman Rifle. I love both but enjoyed this thing so much I neglected those hip fire kills so it took like 600 to get gold. Only gun I was sad to get gold and move on. Thanks IW for giving us good snipers this year (and no Dragunov). We have 3 great and 2 good ones. Hell, the LA-B would be the 2nd best sniper in Cold War for the first 7 months. It's the worst Sniper but still usable, with the best sound IMO.
I know that this weapon doesn't have explosive ammo, but for the rest of the sniper riffles I would like to see how explosive ammo can affect the perfomance of the weapons.
wait I thought high velocity rounds increased the velocity by like 40%, why does HV on the MCPR only take it from 780m/s to 850m/s? Truegamedata says the velocity should be north of 1100m/s
I don't use most of these guns and I mostly play WZ but I watch every one of these vids because you put in so much work and its such a reliable data driven review
Only reason I don't use this snipers is a feel for 6v6 you always want a midrange optic, and with the MCPR you can't change optic till level 20 :(. I pretty much only use snipers with the BPZ40 Hybrid.
Where is the recommendation for the old man sniper build?!?! I have a quick scope build for this using the 5.5x zoom, but I also have a old man sniper build with dual zoom scope 7x & 13X and for some maps I can camp and sip on beers.. its great. Why can't we have the extreme builds on both ends of the spectrum? I have aggressive builds and slow camper builds and it is fun to mix up strategies on different maps.
The MCPR-300 does not shoot .300 Win Mag. It shoots .300 Norma Mag. You can see that when in game, and the bullet accessories are not compatible with SP-X 80 (which shoots Win Mag), too.
The SPX80 is the superior rifle in every way except two areas, mag size and default scope. The MCPR gives you a whopping 10 base mag and a much nicer default scope.
Ace what do you think about scope glint? I find it way overkill on larger zoom optics. It's basically the strobe light from blackops 4. Makes no sense to me. It's harder to shoot at the sniper with glint than without
Hated leveling this one for one reason. Doesn't unlock optics until lvl 20 and its terrible to use on shipment with that base scope. Since then I've rather enjoyed it honestly. I really wish I enjoyed the unique irons more honestly.
does the canted laser give just a static ADS bonus and not give the iron sights ads and the laser bonus? I was using that to avoid the bulky scope until I got the scope attachment slot
I love the MCPR-300 it's this and the SAB-50 I prefer using The MCPR for classic sniping and the SAB for aggregate sniping and I feel powerful wirh both weapons personally in my opinion but the Victus XMR is one big pain in the butt for double kills I'd rather deal with the MCPR's hip fire kills instead

Pro tip for anyone working on the hipfire camo: Go prone to reduce your hipfire spread.
Also, play Tier 1 to avoid hit markers.
You can also slightly aim your weapon and aslong as your not completely ADS it should count. That’s how I got it done
Normally not worth it with the lesser mobility. You need to get close.
Youll also have no aim sensitivity.

My hands-down favorite sniper in MW2. I got the "Watchdog 141" blueprint from the CDL/Twitch drops when it first landed, and I was sold ever since.
That blueprint is legit out of the box. I remember throwing it on my loadout to goof around when I first unlocked it and went 24-2 on Embassy

mcpr and victus are the only ones i use mostly victus tho i don’t find myself using the spx or lab although they are both still really good and fun

This gun is my quickscoping baby. The build I made for it has been nothing but success
MCPR with the Orca Barrel was an intant fave for me when I started leveling up the gun. It has since become my go-to quickscoping weapon
it was my go to gun up until recently i’ve been feeling the victus for quick scoping just cuz it feels so smooth

Try the SZ Bullseye optic. Same ADS speed as the VLK but it's 6x zoom and has very small glint. It's a chore to get it unlocked but well worth it.

This gun SLAPS in DMZ with the long barrel. Bullet drop is basically a non-factor inside 200m.

it's great because of the default 10 mag, that way the 5 mag gives ADS speed, and you have another attachment for DMZ
This is my go too sniper for any game mode, sometimes the Victus but this one has the best scope and just consistent overall.

mcpr is absolutely fine for quickscoping. sure the spx is better but mcpr is not useless

I also love the 10 round mag but i use the lachmann impact scope over the smooth bolt. You don't gain any ads but it's a cleaner sight imo
On Sym. I noticed that there is also an "EXIT ADS" stat. It messes with my timing. I would rather use the stock scope and the ADS focused rear grip.
I love the Iron Sight on this thing. You can get an even better ads with Iron Sight I bet

Best sniper in the game imo, I prefer this over the victus for long range feels more consistent and I have to correct for bullet drop less often
Iron sights on this gun are so much fun especially if the enemy has a mic just listening to them rage when I hit them from a decent distance

I think the short barrel works great on MCPR in 6v6, even with the standard scope.
This is one of the best sniper in the game imo.
My main reason for leveling this thing is the cool camos, and maybe to toy with the absurd Ftac Reaper.

Barrett MRAD has the best aesthetic of all the snipers imo
i would like to point out that the Listed ammo for this Rifle is wrong it is not chambered in .300 Win mag but .338 Norma Magnum

They should buff the smooth bolt cause 2 RPM improvement is really useless, both in multiplayer and WZ.
