Ace, you forgot that all of the stocks on this gun are unique to the gun because they all have different pros and cons than the regular kinds of stocks on other guns. Could you cover the stats on those?
@@Quilt69 Of course it matters; if there's an attachment that improves ANYTHING at the cost of, say, bullet velocity, that's probably going to be a good attachment, because the hitscan negates the penalty. The hitscan potential makes attachments MORE important, not less, because you can build around the fact that the gun is a hitscan.

If you stack attachments that _increase_ bullet velocity, the gun "still works," but it's SIGNIFICANTLY worse than if you stack attachments that _decrease_ bullet velocity and give you other benefits, given that bullet velocity remains infinite. Every gun in the game works with any set of attachments. You can make the worst possible M4 or MP5 setup, and still kill people with them, because they're still guns that you can shoot bullets with. They "still work." But that fact doesn't mean that gun guides are completely worthless, because some attachments work _better_ than other attachments.
I think the way social media has evolved, nerfs/buffs are indirectly influenced by online streamers/content. I think it would be naive to think that the process was completely unrelated or devoid of any connection to what gets posted online. With many prominent COD full time youtubers with >1 million, some 2-3 million subscribers, its fair to say people watch them, then copy their loadouts or try guns they promote as 'broken', which in turn slowly comes to the developer's attention, which then results in a nerf.
Happens a lot these days, with how vocal a community can be it's hard for balancing teams to understand what's truly best, and I think that's what happened to the FAL.

One thing worth mentioning about the Dragoon barrel - it *eliminates* bullet tracers, while the other suppressors do not. Might be useful for warzone, if you miss a shot they may never know where you shot from. Also quite a shame Val *has* tracers, it fires subsonic rounds so it only makes sense.

@j c you arent wrong I rarely snipe even in ground war or warzone but playing with the new sniper is fun my Sniper before was the MK2 Carbine it was a easy to use but the sp-r is just awesome I have a good fast class and I hit some good clips

AHHH I'VE BEEN WAITING ALL DAY FOR THIS! 😆😆😆 Edit: If a complete bonehead like me (that normally can't hit snipes to save his life) can drop helicopter pilots like they're ducks every single Warzone match with this gun, there's a serious problem. A tip to anybody who thinks they may ever want to get this gun gold: Unlock the .338 Lapua rounds, put on the longest barrel and monolithic suppressor and get your longshots done right away. In that long hallway in Tank Factory you can nail all of your longshots so easily as long as you are hitting torso, stomach or upper arms, and with the longest barrel and monolithic suppressor it will extend that one shot stomach range all the way to the other end to where the enemies are standing. I also highly suggest using the feather bolt, tac laser and if you are comfortable with the iron sights, the Blitz stock (since it gives you the fastest ADS time out of all the stocks) or Sleight of Hand. and if that doesn't work for you, go into Ground War and try and get into Boneyard. That is the easiest map to get longshots on with hitscan. Hope this helps!
Mosstwig I think the point is to extend out the range that you’re able to get a 1 shot to the stomach that comes with the Lapua rounds. The hitscan ability only negates the bullet travel/drop, it doesn’t change the actual ranges of the gun. But honestly because the base one shot range already includes biceps I personally don’t think the long barrel would be necessary since it shouldn’t be that hard to hit anywhere above the elbow, even at longshot range. Guess it’s up to personal preference though.
@@mosstwig3591 To extend that one shot kill to the stomach to the range of that hallway in the middle of Tank Factory, which the average kill I got there I believe was about 45 meters.
I actually do think they did a great job it hitmarkers too much without an ammo conversion and with the ammo conversion it's basically a sniper rifle that can compete with the ax and the HDR which the Remington 700 and the MSR should be in this game and should be in the sniper rifle category not the Marksman rifle

It seems like every lobby I've been in this week has had at least half of the players using this and it's been absolutely infuriating to try and fight against

Setting the Lapua rounds aside. This R700 is so beautifully consistent. This is exactly how the snipers should have been balanced in multiplayer from the start. It sucks having to build a fast AX-50 only for it to hitmarker at 35+ meters.
The lapua rounds were meant to be like the HDR cause that is also chambered in lapua. So your bullet should still be able to travel straight pretty far but it should not behave like it’s hit scan.
I hope an upcoming fix doesn't make it completely shit, this is the best feeling rifle since the kar98k. Even a fully kitted AX50 or Rytec doesn't feel as fast as this, since you usually sacrifice a lot of shit just to get them to handle decently.
@@tjj4350 the HDR is chambered in 12.7x108 (Soviet/russian .50 cal.). Hadirs rifle from the campaign is chambered in .338, but that gun is unique to campaign only. The multiplayer gun is not .338 lapua.

I completely disagree, it removes any skill and knowledge in building weapons. The pick 10 system had only positive attachments and that meant everyone would pick the same attachments and every gun and class played the same from player to player. Changes were also mostly meaningless, putting on fast mags and a longer barrel did very little, while using slight of hand and a barrel modification now is an important choice

Literally every non bullpup ar is used with the longest barrel, commando or merc foregrip (now the other grips are popping up a bit too), largest mag, monolithic suppressor and only one individual attahcment to really suit yourself. On this gun, once you get that .338 ammo, even short barrels are viable, irons and mid scopes and sniper scopes are viable, different stocks are useful. Just my opinion,
This explains why I didn't need as many ADS improving attachments as I normally do sniping. The 10 round mags and other attacemts that were supposed to hurt ADS were actually helping 😆

For people crying about quick scopers, use smoke grenades. I've been using them against quick scopers since MW2 , the majority of quick scopers don't use Thermal sights.

It's a bit overtuned at the moment but the high versatility that this gun brings with it is absolutely awesome. Giving us weapons to completely change and alter to our own playstyles is just the absolute best (imo). Whenever I'm in multiplayer and see other people using this weapon, no 2 of them ever look alike, everyone's rocking it in their own specific way. I wouldn't mind it if they nerf it a little to have it be on par with other guns, it will probably keep plenty of options.
i hope that in MW2 they make it kinda like vanguard were we can put on a 10 or 15 round mag on a sniper and then there is a sub catagory where you can choose ammo type so you can have .338 lupua on 15 round mags
I find the gun too easy to use. I always thought about marksman guns being risk-reward. Miss you die but hit and you keep your kill streak going. Honestly I think the lightweight bolt should be nerfed now that it over shadows the Kar's opposite, the MK2.
Shift plus 7 no way in most cases that you use the lightweight bolt, your are already dead against any AR/SMG/LMG in multiplayer. The thing is mainly useful for warzone.

I have never rage quit until yesterday when every single SnD player using it. I would see one person for a split second and die... i don't like snipers and I feel like I shouldn't be forced to use one to make the game playable
I honestly feel like either the hit box is too big or the aim assist is too strong on this gun. I’m not the worst quickscoper but I’ve been hitting shots that I used to not hit consistently pretty regularly.

I love this gun so much! I can actually snipe and go positive in multiplayer now, lmao. I agree though, the hitscan part is gonna get fixed eventually. If the recent fixes/nerfs are any indication, this gun will probably get obliterated into the ground at some point. It may be considered “overpowered” but any weapon that requires more skill than the average MP-5/M4/GRAU/etc. will always be ok to be a bit overpowered in my book. The bug involving the hitscan should be fixed ASAP tho.
Yes it is good that snipers get the better end of something this time but the hit scan in my opinion should not be fixed, because the gun has a maximum range of 400 meters, it's still a trade off.

I decided to make good use of this guns' hit scan bug to get it gold. My feelings on it is that it can be fun and decent, but it's also inconsistent. I've had multiple occasions where I hit the upper torso with increased range attachments and the mags that deal extra damage and I still get a hitmarker.
It would be terrible, because the ttk in this game is already too low. It's better nerfing the good guns than buffing the mid tier weapons. However, I would love to see guns like scar that are really bad now getting a buff.
Imagine being able to run a realistic scar+1911 class and actually being able to compete with the diving wave of m4s and mp5s. Seriously the only thing that kills me is a fucking obsidian mp5 or a Damascus m4 If you already have all the camos for those OP guns why do you even use them? Hey Ace could you do a video about unique default iron sights and scopes that change with some blueprints (at least for those that can be obtained for free)? I was surprised when I saw that the Dragunov blueprint changes its scope so that you can actually see your surroundings, and the MP7 and M4 also have blueprints that give them better iron sights.
Could you please do a breakdown again now that the gun has been nerfed? I'd like to know the data on the attachments now that the ADS increase is a decrease.

@@sturmtruppen2353 The VAL is good, but not broken. I rarely see the VAL, but at least half of every lobby is using the SPR to the point where the game is near unplayable right now. I had a 6v6 game where only me and one other guy didnt use the SPR
maybe they could fix the values on the attachments but keep the 338 rounds with a crazy hit scan-like velocity and use the range bug as a nerf and even lower it a bit. Make it Hitscan but only out to 350 meters then make it impossible to hit passed that as the current bug has it at 415 or w/e. I know it's broke but I am just loving this hit scan too much.
I don't know if you now. But the Hitscan Munition has one downsight in that the Bullet dissapears after 406m. Jackfrags tested it and at 407m the SP-R with the Hitscan Munition doesn't hit anything at all anymore.
I mostly don't want it to be nerfed but a part of me does want it to be nerfed. The Kar is by far my favorite sniper in the game and it's the best marksman rifle aswell and I dont want that to change cause LOVE the Kar

Ace you forgot something. In Warzone the SPR-208 is bugged. At ranges of 400+ meters the bullet from the 208 actually seems to disappear. The sniper is still super powerful but as you said in the last video long range shots are not possible edit: I’m a dunce and it was you who mentioned the bugged hitscan disappearing bullet

It is still, without question, the best sniper for warzone. Last few weeks I’ve swapped the sniper scope for the Cronin optic to get rid of the optic glint and it is still such a beast. Pushing the circle it has such a quick ADS and is so damn accurate with the Norma rounds it’s my go to every time

My lifetime K/D in Warzone is 2.6, but this week it spiked to 3.5. This sniper is broken and should have never been introduced in its current state.
There's a hidden fire rate nerf with the .338 lapua by 10% too. Which most people are unaware off. Which, if they fixed the hit-scan effect, ads speed and just gave it HDR like bullet speed it would be balanced but still really good.

Why add range extenders if the lapua rounds give you infinite hitscan range?

I actually do think they did a great job it hitmarkers too much without an ammo conversion and with the ammo conversion it's basically a sniper rifle that can compete with the ax and the HDR which the Remington 700 and the MSR should be in this game and should be in the sniper rifle category not the Marksman rifle

Setting the Lapua rounds aside. This R700 is so beautifully consistent. This is exactly how the snipers should have been balanced in multiplayer from the start. It sucks having to build a fast AX-50 only for it to hitmarker at 35+ meters.
The lapua rounds were meant to be like the HDR cause that is also chambered in lapua. So your bullet should still be able to travel straight pretty far but it should not behave like it’s hit scan.
I hope an upcoming fix doesn't make it completely shit, this is the best feeling rifle since the kar98k. Even a fully kitted AX50 or Rytec doesn't feel as fast as this, since you usually sacrifice a lot of shit just to get them to handle decently.
@@tjj4350 the HDR is chambered in 12.7x108 (Soviet/russian .50 cal.). Hadirs rifle from the campaign is chambered in .338, but that gun is unique to campaign only. The multiplayer gun is not .338 lapua.
Remember to make sure you have good aiming stability because when you aim in, the sway can make the reticle not perfectly center

I completely disagree, it removes any skill and knowledge in building weapons. The pick 10 system had only positive attachments and that meant everyone would pick the same attachments and every gun and class played the same from player to player. Changes were also mostly meaningless, putting on fast mags and a longer barrel did very little, while using slight of hand and a barrel modification now is an important choice

Literally every non bullpup ar is used with the longest barrel, commando or merc foregrip (now the other grips are popping up a bit too), largest mag, monolithic suppressor and only one individual attahcment to really suit yourself. On this gun, once you get that .338 ammo, even short barrels are viable, irons and mid scopes and sniper scopes are viable, different stocks are useful. Just my opinion,

For people crying about quick scopers, use smoke grenades. I've been using them against quick scopers since MW2 , the majority of quick scopers don't use Thermal sights.

It's a bit overtuned at the moment but the high versatility that this gun brings with it is absolutely awesome. Giving us weapons to completely change and alter to our own playstyles is just the absolute best (imo). Whenever I'm in multiplayer and see other people using this weapon, no 2 of them ever look alike, everyone's rocking it in their own specific way.
I wouldn't mind it if they nerf it a little to have it be on par with other guns, it will probably keep plenty of options.

i hope that in MW2 they make it kinda like vanguard were we can put on a 10 or 15 round mag on a sniper and then there is a sub catagory where you can choose ammo type so you can have .338 lupua on 15 round mags

I find the gun too easy to use. I always thought about marksman guns being risk-reward. Miss you die but hit and you keep your kill streak going. Honestly I think the lightweight bolt should be nerfed now that it over shadows the Kar's opposite, the MK2.
Shift plus 7 no way in most cases that you use the lightweight bolt, your are already dead against any AR/SMG/LMG in multiplayer. The thing is mainly useful for warzone.

It may be considered “overpowered” but any weapon that requires more skill than the average MP-5/M4/GRAU/etc. will always be ok to be a bit overpowered in my book. The bug involving the hitscan should be fixed ASAP tho.
Yes it is good that snipers get the better end of something this time but the hit scan in my opinion should not be fixed, because the gun has a maximum range of 400 meters, it's still a trade off.

I decided to make good use of this guns' hit scan bug to get it gold. My feelings on it is that it can be fun and decent, but it's also inconsistent. I've had multiple occasions where I hit the upper torso with increased range attachments and the mags that deal extra damage and I still get a hitmarker.
Warzone or MP? And was it at an angle where it might register as arm instead of torso?

Hey Ace could you do a video about unique default iron sights and scopes that change with some blueprints (at least for those that can be obtained for free)? I was surprised when I saw that the Dragunov blueprint changes its scope so that you can actually see your surroundings, and the MP7 and M4 also have blueprints that give them better iron sights.

I don't know if you now. But the Hitscan Munition has one downsight in that the Bullet dissapears after 406m. Jackfrags tested it and at 407m the SP-R with the Hitscan Munition doesn't hit anything at all anymore.
I mostly don't want it to be nerfed but a part of me does want it to be nerfed. The Kar is by far my favorite sniper in the game and it's the best marksman rifle aswell and I dont want that to change cause LOVE the Kar

Ace you forgot something. In Warzone the SPR-208 is bugged. At ranges of 400+ meters the bullet from the 208 actually seems to disappear. The sniper is still super powerful but as you said in the last video long range shots are not possible

It is still, without question, the best sniper for warzone. Last few weeks I’ve swapped the sniper scope for the Cronin optic to get rid of the optic glint and it is still such a beast. Pushing the circle it has such a quick ADS and is so damn accurate with the Norma rounds it’s my go to every time

Crashes, disconnects, infinite loading screens, broken ammo conversions for both new weapons etc.
Pretty much everything that could go wrong with this season went wrong.
My lifetime K/D in Warzone is 2.6, but this week it spiked to 3.5. This sniper is broken and should have never been introduced in its current state.
There's a hidden fire rate nerf with the .338 lapua by 10% too. Which most people are unaware off. Which, if they fixed the hit-scan effect, ads speed and just gave it HDR like bullet speed it would be balanced but still really good.
