  • I just installed the Hammer Performance 1250cc kit on my Harley Davidson Iron 883, and I noticed a difference in sound. I made a video so hopefully you guys can hear any variations between the standard iron 883 vs 883 with a 1250 kit. Let me know what you think!

    Got a 2016 XL883N in the olive gold. It has the Vance and Hines pipes like yours but the staggered long ones. They sound so incredible even on a 883 but I cant imagine on this 1250. This video is awesome and you've gained a sub. Definitely gonna look into this kit more seriously now

    Damn the short shots sound amazing on the sportster. I think the 883 sounds a bit better only because it seems like the 1275 idle revs are a bit higher.

    Yes of course it sounds like a bigger bike. I have an 883 with slip ons, my wife has a 1200 that I just installed same exact slip ons today. Hers has a deeper sound like a larger engine should. More bass, if you will. It's a little louder when you you free rev it. I have 1275 basic kit for mine, got it last week and can't wait to install.

    The funny thing is that the 883 sounds more badass than virtually most of the "modern" era big twins regardless of flavor (Evo, TC, M8). It just has more of that Evo pop to it. The 1250 Hammer add then kicks it up to beyond righteous. How do you like that Le Pera Stubs Spoiler seat? It looks the best of all the bazillion seats on the market for that bike.

    • @IronBornRider

      Totally agree with all your points. The le pera seat is really nice and gives it a different look.

    • @midnightmc3096
      @midnightmc3096 Год назад

      @@IronBornRider Thanks for that. Thinking about a 72. Most seats available with some type of back support for Sportys look horrible, like lego seats, but that Le Pera has a very nice flow to it and I'm sure that extra lower back/butt supports comes in handy when twisting the fun-handle with a Hammer kit in the bike. I have a none-negotiable thing for bikes: If I can't sit IN the bike - in the pocket, as it were, because of failing to find a seat available on the open market that can be added for that bike, well, I'm not a buyer.

      Congrats on the stage 1 bro, there’s a huge gain after you install those. It just makes the bike feel snappier and more responsive. And then the 1250 makes it feel like your 883 is on steroids lol.

      It’ll probably vary but most shops said about 10-12 hours of labor, at whatever rate they charge (the ones near me were about $100/hr give it take). I ended up going with a mobile mechanic that charged me like $500 so I ended up saving quite a bit.

      I did see a huge performance change. I think on paper a normal 1250 kit gives you roughly 50% more hp and torque. It's a bigger difference than the stage 1 (air cleaner and exhaust and tuner).
