Same here. Does the ride get smoother on the freeway. Right now I’m at at stock and I can get it to 70-75 with some vibration. Not terrible. I want to increase speed and power but what can be done to make the ride a little bit more smooth?

@@expendable4h002 i did a belt to chain conversion on my 07, 51 tooth rear gave me a little more top end and much more comfortable around 70~75 but yeah you can experiment/research with different size front and rear sprocket to see what's comfortable and it wont break the bank

XL1200C tank/seat, Cobra pipe, Euro fender-mounted license plate, factory 48 rear fender and handlebars. Will probably go with the Hammer 570 drop-in cams. Can't wait for summer.

I would love to see some more hot rod Sportster performance builds coming out of Laidlaw Harley-Davidson.

    • @josephandreuccetti8043

Michael Gurgone That’s what needs to happen!
I don’t know why Harley slept on the sportster for so long.
Give it a six speed transmission and brembos and punch out the 1200 to something bigger.
I always thought they could have done so much more with that line and they aren’t exactly cheap. Look at how fast and what some euro or Japanese bikes come with in the 10-12k price range. I mean you can get on a track purpose 600cc bike that’s decked out with the latest tech and amazing suspension.
I don’t know why Harley doesn’t offer Olin’s shocks and brembos etc. Along with some more CCs.
There’s just a lot of things they don’t do.

I’m trying to build my own sportster tracker and want to add a hammer big bore kit. I am curious is it required after install to remap the ecu?

Awesome build, glad to see you're enjoying the transition. I have to come down and see how I fit on one (6'4"), but the power is impressive.

At 6’4’’ you won’t fit very well and there not a whole lot you can do to make that better.
