You people are addictive you've got me looking at motors for 12:00 Iron 883 on eBay for 1200 to 1500 dollars or more all the way up to 3000 you got me wanting to do this guy's cuz that bike sounds badass with that 1275 in there and I don't know why but the 1940s and 50s this look better than what we have today today everything is too polished and too plastic

How did you like the 1250 upgrade? I have an s&s 1250 to put on mine too with feuling cams, lifters, valve springs, hammer pushrods, buell oil pump gear and some other goodies.

Wait wait wait you can’t tell me that that’s a thing, I love the look of the rebel but the engine size just wasn’t enough for me...
I had a 1200 S&S kit put on my 883. Never did a break in and I still maintain full compression. I got it put on a dyno and it pulled 70hp and 75 tourque. Still has stock cams too
Thats pretty low. Before i took my 1200 apart it made 83/79 to the tire and it was just a stage one bike. Did HD flash a tune on it? What tuner do you have?

Just did a clutch pack swap on mine to get rid of the grenade plate. Hopefully you guys did the spring plate retaining clip and L clip perfectly. I didn't the first time.....

Not really lol they have stock 1200 sportsters. I mean yeah, compared to 883 it's better but still 5 speed meh
@@PkwyDrive13 converted 883s smoke 1200s. They are lighter out the factory, and still lighter after the conversion. So a 1275 converted sporty will smoke a factory 1200.. just saying
The 883 is geared differently than 1200- so when you drop a 1275 motor into an 883 it becomes very brisk from a full stop.
I miss my sporty- most everyone who put a fair amount of miles on one has the same affection for the platform.
I'm thankful that the bike didn't explode!

Air cooled engine loose clearances so break in real important vs water cooled.
Wish my top end swaps would work as simple as that and stay working
If you lightened the bike that helps handling, braking, and acceleration. Harley needs more aluminum and composites

Please let us know the fuel economy? I got only 36 mpg in town, and 43 mpg on the road. Would like to know what you get, after tune.
Apparently fuel economy slightly improves with this kit, though it’s not a selling point from hammer performance.
I only get 40 mpg on a stock 1200xl
