- Learn how to make the Adare Scarf/Shawl with Bonnie! This is an intermediate level crochet project where you can learn how to crochet the Large Braided Cable, Post Ribbing, the Low Front Ridge and the Celtic Weave.
Materials: 1 hank of Greenwood's Yakity Yak (60% superwash Meriino, 20% yak, 20% silk, 400 yds, 100 g), in each of these colors: Aegean, Turquoise, & Aqua. This yarn is available from Greenwood Fiber Works both as single hanks and as a kit: greenwoodfiberworks.com/colle....

My first Adare’ is almost finished and I’m working on a second one. I just love the pattern and the learning experience looking forward to more Celtic style projects, like a sweater !

YEAHHH!!! I finished it. Thank you sooo much Bonnie. Everybody I showed it, could not believe its crochet and everybody said, its too complicated, they could not do that.
Thanks to your wonderful tutorial. I was able to do it and all I did before was simple díshcloth style plain double crochets.
The miracle on this project, as wool is quite expensive in New Zealand, like pretty much everything, I bought wool from the op-shop, which is hard to find in such amounts. No clue how much is it was and if it will be enough. The wool finished 7 stiches before completing the project which is not visible at all. So the whole project was supported by higher sources.

Oh dear! Are you from my home state of Florida? I'm glad you are ok. I miss living there, but not so much during hurricane season. I wish you all the best on your upcoming trip to Ireland & Scotland. So wonderful. I have poor eyesight and just can't see this well enough. Plus it's beyond my confidence level even though I'm a good crocheter. Makes this Irish heart sad but it's lovely to see.
