      I think Kishane will be THE star in the 100 over the next few years, but I’ve got to give it to Noah - he KNOWS how to win. Incredible final. I would’ve liked the winning time to be slightly faster given the semis (as in, I wanted Kishane to go in the low 9.7s lol), but as a collective, it was one of the fastest finals ever. Feel bad for Simbine, a new NR and yet 4th again. Jacobs surprised me a lot; I didn’t even predict him making it out of the semis, yet he ran 9.85, which is his 3rd fastest time ever (correct me if I’m wrong lmao). Tebogo with ANOTHER NR, he’ll be dangerous in the 200, and Kenny with a 9.88 nearly PB in *7th.* Seville crumbled as usual. You coyld say the same for Kishane, despite running 9.79 lol. I think he has a 9.6 in him at some point in his career, I don’t know how he can run 9.79 whilst looking that bad. Also, Kerley’s reaction time of *0.108*, as well as Jacobs’ reaction time of 0.114 were CRAZY! It almost looked like a false start, especially from Jacobs. Lyles and Kishane both had 0.7x reaction times, and if you’d given Noah the reaction time that Kerley had, he would’ve run EXACTLY 9.72 (same with Kishane)! Kerley having such a good reaction time and start was probably what costed Kishane the gold. He was too busy fighting to get ahead of Kerley and tightened up, letting Lyles, who stayed relaxed as Seville was never in front of him really, pipped him at the line. Kishane should’ve been in the lane to his right (next to Lyles) - I thought the fastest from the semis were meant to go in the centre? Anyway, there’s no way I’m betting against Noah in the 200, and in the future, someone would have to run a 9.6 for me to bet against Noah lol. Insane final, congrats of the medalists!

    • @Adam-i4l4u
      @Adam-i4l4u Месяц назад +19

      @@AthleticsEditz the final times were not quick because they all tightened up. I absolutely knew that was going to happen. In reality, going into that final, almost all of those runners has quicker PB's than Noah. But that long wait at the start, the gruelling semis... I knew Noah would win.

    • @Adam-i4l4u
      @Adam-i4l4u Месяц назад +10

      The medal times were not that fast; we all expected low 9.7s given that the semi’s were executed in 9.8. That’s what I meant; cumutively this was the fastest 100m race as a whole but London 2012 had quicker medalling times.

    • @AthleticsEditz
      @AthleticsEditz Месяц назад +20

      @@Adam-i4l4u Mate, no one other than Kishane had a recent pb faster than Noah in this race. Kerley ran his 9.76 in 2022 and Omanyala ran his 9.77 back in 2021, at altitude. Everyone else’s was/is slower. Yes, they did a lot of them tighten up, especially Kishane and Seville, but that just goes to show how good form everyone was in. Kishane (and Noah) would’ve both run 9.72, if they’d had the same reaction time as Kerley in this race (Kerley’s was 0.108, Lyles’ and Kishane’s were 0.178 and 0.176). And Kishane was tense the whole race. He definitely has a low 9.7, or even a high 9.6 in him at some point in his career. Lyles was the only one really who DIDN’T tighten up, and that was ultimately what gave him gold. He knows how to perform when it matters most. Also, everyone else either an pb’s, nearly pb’s, or the fastest time they’ve ran in years (other than Seville). Everyone performed really well, and you can tell that by the fact that everyone went sub 9.8 apart from Seville, who would’ve also done so, had he not completely leant back and shut down at the end.

      I think the biggest problem was that he was winning those races earlier this season very easily and nobody had pushed him in any of his races for the full 100 meters. So in this race when it happened he tightened up near the end instead of trusting himself and holding his form straight through the finish line... like Noah did. It was the mental & experience edge that got Noah the victory, and for Kishane that will come with time. This race was good experience for him. He will grow from this and I expect him to be a force for years to come.

He won the bronze medal in the 200m race. Look at Noah Lyles now. Experience is a GREAT teacher if you ALLOW it. Kishane the Hurricane sounds humble enough to know that he'll always have DAWGS inching on him in these big races. 6'3 Fred Kerley was on Kishane's NECK, and I bet he did not expect it at all. The final was the first time I saw Kishane run a TENSE race. He looked tight while running the last 30-40 meters while Noah was running FREE and opening up for the ultimate victory. You know what the difference was? Experience! If Kishane is a DAWG, then he will accept the challenges posed to him now and in the future & overcome them to become the best in the entire world.
      Kishane did great in the 100m by winning Silver. He should not hang his head after placing a close second. It took the experience of 27-year-old Noah Lyles to defeat him. Accept the loss, adapt, improve, and SOAR.

He should be proud but that man is hungry for 1st and I believe he is genetically more gifted than the rest of the field. If he puts in the work (not that he hasn’t it just takes time) he’s going to be uncatchable. I think he will run 9.70 in the coming years. Congrats to Lyles. Hell of a final. For a very young man (23) who just experienced a crushing close defeat at the highest level of competition, he conducted himself with class and maturity here. He's a phenomenal sprinter and is only going to get better. He could well be the future of sprinting for the next five years. He represented Jamaica brilliantly on the track and with dignity in the interview. Cut the kid some slack.
    That said, Lyles did run him (and Kerley) down and outlean him at the wire. Inexperience may have cost him the winning lean. It took Bolt and Lyles time and experience to excel, too.
