    Wonderful tutorial! I so appreciate that you give exactly what size yarn, the amount of yarn and the hook size including the letter!!! You start your video with that info then get right into the pattern and instructions. I can't say enough how much I appreciate your style of tutorials. It's so grueling to watch other tutorials that talk through the whole 1st half etc, etc. Also, you explain things so clearly!! I'll watch any video you put out!

    During February, Riverside County, CA has a County Fair in Indio. That's next to Coachella, where I live. I just won a big beautiful Blue Ribbon with this afghan, thanks to your great tutorials. I had entered afghans from patterns twice before, and didn't even get an Honorable Mention. I made the first one using this pattern in twenty days in a neutral color, as a wedding gift but this one only took a little over two weeks. Thank you for helping me win another blue ribbon. This was my first Intermediate Level. I see a lot of tutorials but yours are the best!

    I'm experienced crocheter.. I could make this without your tutorial easily.. I am watching it anyways before bed because sometimes I like watching people crochet. And your video is really relaxing. And sorta feel a like I'm watching myself crochet. . I will say this tutorial is very easy to follow. I feel like as long as a crocheter knows basic stitches.. And can't read patterns or have hard times.. I feel they would be able to follow this and really well and understand everything.. You did a great job

    Your instructions are AWESOME and the camera is in the perfect place for us to see everything. I don't have 11 balls of yarn but am making the different sections all in blue. I especially liked your way to count the 183 in groups of 5. So many times I need to recount and if I had done it by your way of the 5, I wouldn't need to recount. This is such a beautiful throw. I thought looking at it that the arrows would be complicated but they aren't. Just started today and I am on row 8. Am very eager to finish it. Thanks again.

    This is one of the best tutorials I've watched. Great job on your instructions AND clear close ups of where you are placing your hook!! I'm gonna need to make this blanket. I'm still a beginner, I've got the basics down but not all the different stitches that you can do with crochet. So, with your magnificent tutorial, this will be the challenge I need to push me into the advanced beginner category. 😉😄👍

      Michelle Nash as long as you know the basic crochet stitches (chain, SC, dc, tr, slip st) and they are reasonably even, you may be ready to give it a go! Definitely not easy, but all based on fundamentals. Blessings to you!

    Thank you so much for answering my text. You are correct when you mentioned the two ladies with arthritis and they haven’t stopped crocheting. They are women after my own heart. I can’t stop crocheting, and I agree that not to move my fingers would really stiffen them up. Isn’t the old saying, “use it or lose it?” 😄 I loved seeing you and the fabulous designers at the convention. You won FASTEST FINGERS!!! #1... I’m going to say it again, that I just learn so much from you by watching your videos. They are GREAT! I can see the stitches that you’re showing, where to put the next stitch etc. Your videos are always so enjoying to watch. By the way, your daughter looks beautiful!!! She’s a mini me of you!😍😍... I only had one daughter and needle work is not for her. Very sad.😞 At any rate, I will keep watching your channel and hope to make “The Tree of Life” Afghan some day. Thanks again Bonnie.🙏✝️

      Thank you for your kind reply Jeanet! So glad you could make it to Portland. I am so thankful that I can still crochet too. After that crochet contest I was overwhelmed to remember how God gave me my life (and hands/arms) back about 14 years earlier following spinal cord surgery. I never dreamed that I would still be able to crochet at all before that. The glory is all His! I can't do anything without His help, period.

    Hi I would like to say this is a wonderful amazing pattern❤ ❤️❤️ what is the proper care for this blanket when washing? Thank you

    • @BonnieBayCrochet
      @BonnieBayCrochet  2 года назад

      Great question Cathy! It mostly depends on the fiber you used. If you used acrylic yarn, you should be able to wash in the washer in cold water. You can lay flat to dry, or dry in dryer on low setting. Using a dry will put more wear on the fabric, but is doable.

    I love this! what would be the chain multiple to make a smaller size throw? Same width, but shorter length.

    • @BonnieBayCrochet
      @BonnieBayCrochet  5 лет назад

      You can subtract multiples of 12 from the starting chain.

    Just starting this beautiful blanket. Not a very experienced hooker. And can't read patterns well. Your instruction are absolutely wonderful. I was wondering how to make it longer??
    I read that it is 182 +1. Is it based on 2 or 7. To increase??
    Again your awesome!!! TYIA. Blessings

    What a gorgeous pattern this is! If I have to make this longer how does the starting chain change? I want to make it 72" by 48"

    • @BonnieBayCrochet
      @BonnieBayCrochet  3 года назад +1

      You can add multiples of 12 to the existing starting chain to achieve the length you desire. You will need to add extra rows to the panels to widen.

    Row 8. It seems to be correcting itself. I started it over this last time. I determined my beginning chain was too tight so I loosened it. Helped tremendously.

    This is really beautiful and you have explained well..I have only 1700yards of wool.. can I make this in two colors and how much more wool I would be needing? TIA

    • @BonnieBayCrochet
      @BonnieBayCrochet  5 лет назад

      I would recommend staying with the recommended yardage in the free pattern. You can use two colors if you chose. Feel free to check out others' afghans who also did this on the Ravelry page for this design: www.ravelry.com/patterns/library/aran-hearts-throw. You may have to set up a free account to see these examples if you don't already have one.
