  • Опубликовано: 15 авг 2024
  • In this Part 3 tutorial I will teach you how I crochet this Easy Pineapple Shawl REPEAT rows 10 to 16. I have also added how to finish your shawl at the end including an optional boarder.
Also known by the name Alpine Shawl, it is a very easy project with repeating rows.
I have split this tutorial up into 3 parts.
The first part goes from row 1- row 9.
    The second from 10-16
and The 3rd part to REPEAT rows 10-16.
This video shows hoe to finish this shawl.
    Links to videos-
Part 1: • How To Crochet Easy Pi...
Part 2: • Easy Crochet Pineapple...
****Row 8 and 15 are increase rows. They can be identified by the presents of the double shells******
For this shawl I used a cotton blend yarn. In worsted weight. (4). 10 ply. About 400g. or about 684 yards. I recommend rounding to 700yards as mine had almost nothing extra.
This shawl measures from point to top 34 inches.

I hope you have fun making your shawl. Thank you for watching, leaving me a comment, sharing the RUclips link and subscribing if you haven’t!

Thank you for these extensive tutorials on this beautiful pineapple shawl. I am fortified into believing that I can do this after watching your videos many times though I consider myself an advanced beginner. I have been always facinated by this pattern but in awe of it. I am starting on it today with yellow coloured American value ball. Thank you again.

Hi Jonna, I finally finished my pineapple shawl and it is lovely. I took a break from it and made the slouchy hat with that wonderful stain glass unforgettable yarn. Wow, really painful doing that slip stitch for the brim, but it goes quickly once you get into the body. Thanks for all your great tutorials. Love crocheting with you.

Hi Jonna, I was following along with video turorial and decided to downlaf the Ultra Pima Alpine Shawl from Cascade. When I came to Rnd 13 your instructions differ from theirs. I was wondering why they skipped the part whete we join the pineapple instead they say ch 3?. I would appreciate any help you could provide.

Hi Rayle. I have a problem getting the pattern from Jonna's site. I did the same and had the same experience as you. I've sent message to Jonna and hope for reply.

      Hello!
For the printed pattern you need to go to cascade yarns Or open the drop down description box of the video for the pattern link.
As far as differences between the pattern and the video.
I am a human being, and I interpret the pattern as you see in the video.
I have completed my shawl per the steps in the video.
You can choose to follow the pattern or my video or a combination of both.
There is no wrong way to make this shawl.
You can chain 3 or join whatever you like.
Thank you for watching my tutorial.

  • @Gwuinivyre1486

I feel like I did something wrong. I'm working on a section where there are 5 pineapples right now at the top. When you get to the part where you put the first 6 loops to form the pineapple, on my two ends I have the 6 loops. The middle three pineapples I am crocheting 4 loops. The end pineapples always seem to be one row behind. Is that correct or did I do something wrong?

Thank you so much, it's beautiful and you made it so easy to follow. Only thing is, I made the mistake of using multi colored yarn, which didn't really look right with this pattern, so I'm going to do another one. I like the purple you used. What did you use for yours?

    • @JonnaMartinezCrochet
      @JonnaMartinezCrochet  4 года назад

Aww yeah the stitches get lost in the multi colored yarns for sure. I’m happy to hear you will make another. The yarn I’m using is a seconds clearance “mill ends” cotton yarn I found at a craft shop. Any cotton or cotton blend should work well for a substitute. Thank you for watching and commenting!
