  • In this Part 2 tutorial I will teach you how I crochet this Easy Pineapple Shawl from row 10 to 16.
Also known by the name Alpine Shawl, it is a very easy project with repeating rows.
I have split this tutorial up into 3 parts.
The first part goes from row 1- row 9.
    The second from 10-16
and The 3rd part to REPEAT rows 10-16.
The third part also shows how to finish the shawl.

    Part 3: • Easy Pineapple Shawl P...
****Row 8 and 15 are increase rows. They can be identified by the presents of the double shells******
For this shawl I used a cotton blend yarn. In worsted weight. (4). 10 ply. About 400g. or about 684 yards. I recommend rounding to 700yards as mine had almost nothing extra.
This shawl measures from point to top 34 inches.

I hope you have fun making your shawl. Thank you for watching, leaving me a comment, sharing the RUclips link and subscribing if you haven’t!

Is it every eight rows there is a double shell in a shell to start the next pineapple?

I’m loving this pattern. I’m having trouble though… are you familiar with Lion Brand’s Pound of Love yarn? I’m using some with a 5.0 hook (recommended 6.0), and it’s coming out kind of stiff. I’ve used a 6.0 on another similar project, and it almost seems like the stitches are a bit too big and the details get lost. Is the yarn just not as good at draping as yours? I have tons of this yarn and would love to use it.

    • @JonnaMartinezCrochet
      @JonnaMartinezCrochet  2 года назад +1

I am familiar with that yarn, but have not used it, this yarn I’m using is a cotton blend so it has more drape.
Plan on blocking your shawl. This will help with defining the details and even with drape.
Thank you for watching and commenting!
P.s. I tend to like to use a smaller hook than recommended on the yarn.
It helps me make neater work.
As I tend to crochet loose.
