Thank you so much for this tutorial. I just finished mine. It is beautiful. Thank you so much for the clear instructions and not repeating each on how to do each stitch and unneccesery talk. And thank you so very very much for not having background music, which drowns out the voice. These ole ears can"t hear like they used to could. Keep up the beautiful work and awesome tutorials!

I'm about 75% done with mine. Thanks to your tutorial I've been able to do this! I've only been crocheting for about 2 months! You are a wonderful teacher! I'm making it for my husband's grandma for mother's day. She lost both her children last year and this will be the first mother's day without her children. Just want her to know she still has pieces of them in her grandkids, gr grandkids, and gr gr grandkids!

This shawl is gorgeous! I look at the videos first before attempting, and thought, hmm...this looks a bit challenging. Not one to walk away from one, I grabbed my hook and yarn and went for it. It came out awesome! Your instructions were very clear, making it easy to follow. I’m legally blind, so I really appreciate how close you zoomed in, along with the verbal instructions. 👍🏽🙂❤️

You are a very excellent tutor and I really enyoeid , exeept is short, can you please tell me what I did wrong. I followed your intrusion. It is beautiful I wish I know what I did wrong..I’m thinking it cut be the tread I’m used.? Thank you do much. Blessings and can you answer me

The thickness of your yarn and hook size is called gauge. If your yarn is too small your work will be too small.
This shawl requires a bulky 5 yarn and a 6.5 mm hook.
Mine even came out smaller because I used a worsted yarn and smaller hook.

I actually finished!! Rows 28 to 31 just confused me and I did it my way in a hurry and I thought it turned out pretty good so in the bag it went and is staying there, I undone stitches or did too many stitches or missed stitches or the row didn't look complete, doesn't matter I thought to myself I done a good job for an old gurl. I used 8ply and a size 6.5 hook, next time I will use a 4 ply and a size 4 hook.
Thankyou Jonna Martinez you are absolutely an amazing teacher and a very calm cool and collective woman, your tutorials are the best because you stay right to the end.....awesome!!

I’m happy you liked the video and how I filmed it.
I’ve had lots of comments on the size.
For this shawl you have to use a thick yarn and a large hook. If you used the same hook as me may want to try an even bigger hook or thicker yarn.
I’m also not very tall (5.2) so the shawl might appear larger on me.
Thank you for watching and commenting!

I made2 two of these shawls. One as a gift and the other to hold on to. I'm going to make one for myself but not using a yarn containing wool because of allergies. My 4-year old granddaughter loved the the Rainbow Sprinkle yarn so I will have to make her a sweater soon. The pineapple pattern was easy to follow. My shawls are not as long as the one in the video (but just as beautiful). I believe they will reach the length after the first wash. Thanks for the video.

These are great tutorials. Easy to listen to and crochet along with. Mine seems a lot smaller than yours appears. If I block it will that stretch it out more. I also used Caron cakes but in pistachio as I love green.

I made 4 of these and my forth one was made with more than 12 chains. My shaw have 12 pineapples points. And it fits well. I followed you all the way the only change was starting with more chains in the beginning. The yarn weight used was Lion brand Vanna's glamour yarn onyx, weight 2 Fine. I had to change the pattern only at the very beginning. I absolutely love how it flows.

I am Pausing on row 28, part 3. I need a break ..LOL I used a thinner yarn and a softer not so stiff one . I basically have the MANDALA unicorn yarn . this works great for me as i am a plus size and so far it looks amazing and i can tell its going to be a perfect fit for me! This is not hard to follow at all . Thank you for sharing your shawl Jonna .I love it!!

I am now done! I got all the way to where you put in the Pico stitch for the outer part. I stopped and did a light purple border around mine using the single stitch just all the way around the border putting them in where ever they would fit loosely and its so beautiful!
