    Loved your tutorial, very easy to follow along! I'm almost finished making this shawl, I used yarn I had on hand which was Landscapes Desert Spring, but have run out so just ordered some more and two Caron Cakes as well to make another that will look just like yours as I think the pattern gets lost a bit in the Landscapes Desert Spring colors of my current yarn. Still pretty, but I really like the way the pattern jumps out at you with the color you used. Looking forward to more tutorials!!

      I came to the comments to see if anyone had done this in a variegated yarn. I'm afraid that the color changes are taking away from the pretty work, and I'm not sure if I should finish it! I know your comment is a year old but... hey😁 you have a picture?

    • @Krissyrocksoutloud
      @Krissyrocksoutloud 5 лет назад

      @@valeriedenny4882 I haven't made this specific pattern but if you're going to use a variegated yarn, I recommend using a slow change yarn such as an ombre. The slow color changes look so nice but don't distract from the intricate patterns. I made the virus shawl using scheepjes whirl and it looks beautiful, the pattern is still the star but the colors are so nice. That's just my recommendation though. Maybe try the red heart ombre?

    Starting my shawl today! My husband is military and had to leave today for a mth. For annual training. I purchased lots of yarn to keep me busy while he’s gone.

      🇺🇸 ❤️ that’s a wonderful way to keep busy! Try to use a (5) weight yarn and a bigger hook than I did. Lots of people don’t like how small this turned out for them. Thank you for watching and commenting!

      I don’t remember right this minute, but I have all that information on my website www.jonnamartinez.com it’s under the tab pineapples or search pineapples when you get there ❤️

      Marilyn Steiner he gets upset when people thank him. Says it’s just his job. However, THANK YOU for your service as well and may God bless you as much as you deserve. We would be nowhere without our soldiers.
      God Bless.

    Somehow I only got 6 groups of clusters for rows 7 and 8. I'm using a 5 mm hook and size 4 yarn. I'm not sure if or where I went wrong yet I don't think I'm unraveling those rows....lol. I'm enjoying making it.
