I love this design so much! I hope you do too. I used to crochet pineapple doilies and coasters and tablecloths when I was a little girl and LOVED it!! I took that love and turned it into a modern, fresh, wearable crochet shawl design. Do let me know what you think and see other versions on IG with #adelineshawl and find us there @expressionfiberarts
We used 2 skeins of our Resilient sock yarn in colorway: Mist (blue) and the yellow version shown was made in Saffron. Colors come and go so feel free to ask for those colors if you don't see them in stock!

I've got to share this with you.... I was born in 60's and lived for the crochet doily books and pattern books from 30's or before. I knew there were others like me But never met any. I was am self taught . Certainly loved to hear of your oh so humble beginnings.
Thanks for sharing!! 💕
My paternal grandmother taught me to crochet when I was 12, and I loved making doilies, too ( she was a brilliant pattern maker, but just in her brain). I am so looking for making this pattern as part of our prayer shawl ministry.
What a sweet memory. ❤️❤️
Beautiful shawl, and such a lovely quote at the end. I am so glad to live during the same time as you, to experience your joy and kindness, even if only through a video.
This is the sweetest thing I have read. Thank you for the kind words. ❤️
Stunning, just lovely. Thank you so much for sharing.

I love your videos! You make me feel that I can do anything! Thank you for your encouraging lessons!
Thank you so much! ❤️❤️
I’ve always loved crochet pineapples too! Beautiful shawl!
Thank you so much! ☺️
I love to watch you crochet, twin. It’s like watching my own hands, my fingers working the hook and feeling the soft drape of the yarn entwined through my fingers. So meditative!!!🧘♀️🧘♀️🧘♀️
❤️❤️
I love working Pineapple patterns...I started crocheting with size 10 thread when I was around 10 years old... my grandma taught me how to make the bottle cap hot mats... crocheting over the bottle caps and then sewing them together to form different shapes. She works use a variegated purple thread and sew them in the shape of a cluster of grapes! I’ve made many pineapple doilies and look forward to making this beautiful shawl! Thank you for the pattern!
What a lovely memory! Thank you so much for sharing with me. Happy crocheting!
I love your background music. Watching you crochet with the music is mesmerizing. ❤
Thank you! ❤️

Thanks for subscribing! ❤️
Thank you Chandi for this tutorial, patiently awaiting part two. ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐👍💐
Love all of your patterns ❤
Thank you! 🙏 We hope to release it soon. ❤️❤️
Thank you for staying with us as you go along. I’m a beginner knitter and crocheter and learning how to read the written instructions is just as terrifying as doing the project. Maybe I’ll attempt this lovely pineapple shawl. You should keep the instructions up on the side so we can see them. It might be helpful to us knew kids.
Try Fiber spider if you are looking for great tutorials.👍
You are welcome! ❤️❤️

Thank you! 😘😘
Chandi, I am a new in the crochet world, always so much to learn. I have been doing it actually for about six months. I just finished crocheting a beautiful pineapple crochet doily. I did not use a thread, I used gazelle baby cotton yarn, in purple. It is gorgeous. I'm pretty proud of myself. It had 42 rows. I just love everything you show on RUclips, crocheting and knitting. I do not knit (would live to) but I love looking at the designs. I wish every one of your, how to, videos were free. LOL you are a sweetheart and I do love your designs, every single one🥰
Thank you so much for the kind words! I appreciate it! 💕

@@ExpressionFiberArts I just started watching your channel. Do you dye the yarn? Raise the sheep? Really like your outfits too, very charming.
@@belaynshemengistu7590 We have a team of folks that dye the yarn. I don't raise sheep, though I wish I had the space to. Thank you so much for the lovely compliment. 💕

I have finished this shawl for my grandma, who cared for me when my brother and I were young and our parents are at the office, just in time for Valentine's Day. I used a brownish red and cream color combination. It was beautiful. Thank you, Chanti! This is a great tutorial for a beginner like me, and that was my first shawl! I want to make one for my mother next!
Congratulations on finishing your first shawl! 💕💕
@@ExpressionFiberArts hi, I almost finished with another shawl. This time, it's for my aunt that is like a big sister to me and she's having a baby girl on September - near my birthday! I made it with brown>white>green>dark green this time. I really like your patterns and I have a lot of them saved now. Thank you, Shanti! 🤎🤍💚
@@crisc1505 😍😍

Hi Chandy. I made a shawl for my daughter. Lovely thanks so much

Think I'll try this with your Lost In Translation cashsilk sock yarn I've been saving.
Ooooh! I like that idea! 😍😍
Wow beautiful 🤩😍
Thank you! 😘
Thank u for the pattern. I also grow up learning crochet and loving the pineapple pattern.
Wonderful! Thank you!
ExpressionFiberArts Sorry. , I ended up frogging the pattern. I just could not get past the part u left me. 😥
@@1235adriana We have 2 more videos that show how to do the other parts of the shawl. Sorry you had to frog. ❤️
ExpressionFiberArts - yes I watched and got through all the videos. I printed the pattern, it’s just me. I couldn’t get it to click. May try again in the future. And see if I can dig up a old pattern of the pineapple, the one that has the chart graft, that may get me through my block.. I made tons of table cloths with this pattern. Thanks for caring. Hug!!
Lovely lady, lovely voice, lovely hands, great pattern. I am going to try it 😁
😍😍
I just downloaded the pattern! Thank you so much it is beautiful!

I have always loved pineapples and shawls. What a delight to find them both together in this lovely shawl! Guess what will be next on my project list!
😍😍
Love love love so happy 😉😚
Thank you so much! ❤️❤️
You r too adorable and talented!❤️
You are so kind! Thank you!
I came across several pineapple crochet patterns and did them too….
But I found your design is the best 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻, easy & simple to follow and the design looks gorgeous & Elegant!
I used fine cotton yarn instead of wool because it’s not cold here in Hing Kong and it will be more comfortable wearing cotton in air-conditioned indoors 😄😄
I'm so happy you liked it!
Very beautiful 😍 nc color I love it
Thank you so much!
Woooooow👏👏👏😘💕 I Will do it 🤩🙏 congratulation👏
Awesome! Thank you! ❤️❤️
Thank you for making this detailed tutorials for ur patterns.. reading a patten is still a mystery to me so having the written part next to u while crocheting the part is extremely helpful so meyb if u could possibly keep it there while crocheting the part would be even more helpful in learning how to read patterns 🙂👍thank you again to both you and your husband for taking the time to do this tutorials for us.
You are very welcome! Thanks for the great feedback. ❤️ We appreciate you so much. It also might be helpful to download the pattern and use it while watching the video to help you learn the stitches. Have an absolutely wonderful weekend!
Chandi, that is a beautiful shawl, I have two different colors that would look great to make this pineapple shawl. Dark Blue or deep dark red. Can't wait.
How exciting! Both of those sound lovely! ❤️
I love how you have stories for each project you share with us. Was your mom a knitter and crocheter? When my great-grandmother passed away. I was going through some of her belongings when I stumbled upon her knitting and crocheting supplies. I feel so close to her when I do both. It's amazing how we pick up where the previous generation left off.
My mom crochets. 🧶 I love what you said about feeling connected. I think back to all of those moments I spent with my mom crocheting doilies. Memories that will last a lifetime. ❤️
❤️Love This Thank You❤️
You’re welcome 😊
Thank you Shandi
You're so welcome!
Beautiful xx
Thank you!
You are so sweet and adorable. I’ve been looking for a beginner project that is pretty. I think I’ll give it a try
Wonderful! I hope you enjoy!
Just beautiful... and in ombré it would look even more stunning I think. What would you recommend long side to point dark to light or light to dark?! Can't wait for spring afternoons and warm summer nights!
That would be absolutely stunning! I like the idea of light to dark points. ❤️❤️
Bellísimo .. y como lo explicas ... sin saber inglés tu paso a paso está muy bien.. gracias 💕🙏
💕💕
Amazing ! i love it and i will do one for ly mom .. we are from Morocco 🌸💚 big love and thanks

Thank you! ❤️
Looking at your crochet videos is helping me really understand crotcheting. I'm a visual learner and you make it very easy to follow what you're doing. Still may be a while before I really attempt to crochet, but I'm learning 😊
❤️❤️ I'm so glad that the videos are helpful. ❤️❤️ Have a wonderful weekend!

Thank you! Beautiful design, however, I could not go on because I have been looking for part 2, the continuation of this tutorial video.
It will be uploaded on Wednesday Feb. 12 ❤️
Thank you!!!! I appreciate your quick response.. | can now continue working on your beautiful design. XoX
I love this in triangle. I would also love it in rectangle. Will you release it in rectangle as well?
It is absolutely lovely. So light and airy. It is very hard to find patterns with fingerling weight yarn I can make to use in Florida. This pattern is perfect for all year round as it's the middle of February and 86 degrees at the moment. Lol
Thank you Shandi for this beautiful pattern.
I'm so glad you like it! Yes, it can be so warm in the south all year round. ❤️❤️
