OMG 😱 my sweet Crystal, every time you get me! I thought I might never learn to do the pineapple stitch and here you come ( the best teacher ever) with another great tutorial with the pineapple stitch for a wrap! Amazing 🤩 thank you so much for all you do my love! I appreciate you more than you know!!!
Wow this amazing!! I’ve read through a pineapple pattern and then put pattern away in bottom of everything drawer thinking no way that’s happening. Seeing you do this renews my courage to give it a whirl. Thank you for all you do❤❤❤
Memories ❤ that green Hero hook I can see my grandmother making granny squares by the trash bags full. At a very young age she thought me to whip stitch them together. I am the oldest of 7 and I can remember when I was 13 we had created an Afghan for each of us that was a great Christmas. And yes I still have mine I’m 60, good old red heart yarn. Thank you for this tutorial you are an amazing teacher 🙏🏼🌷
lol..right? And watch how she makes it look so easy! I'm a beginner crocheter sponge! I'm soaking up as much info as this old 66 year old body will allow. I've fallen in love with group of ladies. So friendly and Crystal has to have the patience ..to do all these tuts for us. S
I started to crochet 3 years ago , i started with doing baby blankets , i found Crystal when i was looking for baby clothes and i never left since i found her because there is no stitch or tutorial from Crystal i couldn,t do because she such a good teacher she makes everything easy. The first sweater i made just few months of crocheting was a cable stitch sweater for men from Crystal, i was so proud of myself i made another one, the first one for my son and one for myself. I am so glad i found you Crystal, you got me through my darkest day, God bless and brighten your day through out your life❤❤❤❤
The pineapple stitch is a beautiful stitch. I'm watching this with 2% battery charge, so I know that my phone will die before this tutorial is finished. Thank you so much, Crystal, for doing this tutorial. I will pick it back up later. I just wanted to end my night listening to you! You are awesome!
Geeze louise 🤦🏼♀️ another beautiful stitch!!!🥰 I can't keep up with all of them but, I'm not complaining 🤗 I love them all!💖 I have been looking recently for a pineapple stitch and wah lah, it magically appears 🤗 Thank you soooooo much for this!🤗 Wishing you a beautiful blessed day/night 🙏🏻🤗💖
I want to make small doilies from this stitch.i saw some on line but I cant read patterns. If I watch Crystals videos it's easier for me to follow along. Plus I love the chit chat lol
This is the first time I have ever endeavoured to even see how this stitch was done. My Ouma and mom used to crochet doilies and table cloths with this stitch. You have made this look so much easier. Thank you. It’s the first time I have watched you. You teach very clearly. Thank you. I will be trying this stitch now.
Excellent tutorial @bagodaycrochet Crystal!! You are the best crochet teacher on RUclips! I have been watching you since 2015. Love ❤️ you!! I am making something for your contest using this stitch for part of it. It is a fun stotch, too! Keeps your attention. Thank you!!
I worked this along with your tutorial. I really appreciate at the end where you showed us how to repeat the pattern starting over with row three again. You are just the very best teacher! I am doing this in a pink and will donate it once it is done. Thank you so much for all that you do to teach us these lovely patterns.
Thank you for this! I love the pineapple stitch. I used to make doilies and runners out of baby yarn and really enjoyed them. I need to get my hook and yarn together and get on it!!!!
WOW! Just...WOW! The work you put into this!!! I did some pineapple doilies back in the day and they are time consuming - and all going around a circle in the same direction but this is so intricate - THANK YOU for doing this Crystal!💖❤💖
wonderful example and teaching of rather complicated pattern. I'm going to get my yarn and watch it again to make an afgan of pineapple stitch. Thanks!
Oh how beautiful. This looks like the crochet my Nanny taught me how to crochet on. She made the most beautiful doilies and lace. My uncles and their families inherited it but I'd love to have been able to have some. I wasn't ever able to make the smaller what Nanny called white crochet. But you make it look much easier with the regular weight yarn. Soooooo Pretty. Thank you for sharing
I don't know if youll.see.tgis comment. But after 2 months off and on of trying to finish thos shawl... I love it!! I'm giving it to my mom. Not sure where I post the Pic. Let me know!!!❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
Excellent design and explained well! I actually was able to memorize most of it and only had to glance back a few times after the first round. I am improving watching your videos but you were right, this is much easier than it looks. A year ago I would not have attempted it. I used lace weight glittery cotton and it looks so elegant.
I always wonder how this stitch is made; thank you for your step by step easy instructions to follow. The color is beautiful, too. Thank you Crystal 😊🌷. Best instructor ever!!
Omg I love love love the pineapple stitch it makes some of the most Beautiful shawls. Thank u so much Crystal for being the Best Teacher on RUclips for crochet, love ya and God Bless.
I agree with Glenda Hacket wholeheartedly! The pineapple is my favorite motif (followed by pinwheels and the rare wheat stitch)! I've made many versions of the pineapple, in doilies and table runners, an unfinished tablecloth (had to set it aside and then lost my place in the pattern). The nicest piece is a beautiful queen bedspread in a cream dk weight yarn - it's the piece I am most proud of in my 64 years of crocheting! Crystal, you are an awesome teacher! Very clear and precise! I have learned a lot from you and have made many projects that I learned from you. Thank you very much for sharing your vast and varied knowledge with us. I love your warm and generous heart!
This is gorgeous! Reminds me of my Grandma. She made table clothes for each of her grandchildren and made tons of doilies and table runners. Im going to try this.
Oh my my my!!!!!! I live this pattern..... I can't wait to buy my yarn an make it...... It is just so beautiful when laid out... 😍😍😍. Thank you so so much for your amazing how to videos....your awesome 👍
How beautiful! Especially the color you choose! I’ve been wanting to learn how to do this. Thank you! Your tutorial is so easy to follow and understand too!🧶
So funny everyone had similar comments to what I was going to write. I too never thought I could do this, but you are a wonderful teacher. Thank you so much!
The pineapple stitch is absolutely gorgeous , I’ve always wanted to try it but was a little hesitant so thank you Crystal for always teaching us clear instructions , I will give it a go!🤎
I'm so thankful for you making this video. My grandmother showed me this stitch 20 years ago and I couldn't remember it. Thank You for showing this stitch!!! You are a Blessing my dear. You have made my day not to mention I love all your content. Thank You!!!! You are AWESOME!!!
Thank you, thank you, thank you! I think this is one of my favorite stitches/patterns! I loved in N Carolina for a number of years, and found out that the pineapple is a symbol used to welcome others. Besides it's such a beautiful stitch pattern. I can't wait to get started on making something with this! I can't thank you enough! 🍍🍍🍍🍍🍍🍍🍍
The pineapple stitch is gorgeous! I’ve only made it once and it was a small pineapple. This would be awesome in thread as a table runner. I’ll run the video now at normal speed and save the video.
The first thing I ever crocheted at 9 was a pineapple doily in number 10 thread and a 00 hook. It was so lopsided but my mom kept it. I still love the pineapple stitch. I think it will always be my favorite 😍
Thank you so much for this tutorial!! I've struggled with this stitch in the past, but your instructions are so thorough and well-paced that there was no way to mess it up!
I made a wrap for my sister in law, 4 mm hook and Lionbrand blueberry Ice Cream yarn, tension was everything and it turned out beautiful. It is the big scoop so I have enough to make another one. I think I will donate it to the women's shelter. Such a beautiful pattern, thanks Crystal.
This was one of the first things my aunt taught me how to crochet when she started giving me lessons at the age of nine. I have such fond memories of making doilies using the pineapple stitch. Thank you, Crystal.
Was in a yarn shop & my friend saw a wrap in the Pineapple Stitch. Told me I had to do one cause I love all thing’s pineapple. I said “No way can I do anything that complicated!” Did a search on your channel- now I can’t wait to get some pretty yarn & make me a summer wrap! Thanks again for being a great clear teacher & believing in us!
WOW! The pineapple stitch shown so well that even I can do it. I can't wait to make a wrap with this gorgeous stitch that I have failed at before! Thank You, Crystal.
What a wonderful giveaway! Thank you so much crystal! Such beautiful work from bryan, wow! My favorite hook is the j hook! Works well with worsted weight and with dk weight it will keep it light and airy. Good luck everyone!
I got a new dining room table. I wanted to make a large doily. This is perfect .i also have a new table cloth. Will check back.Thank You. I usually go to the local antique store for dollies. Because I can't work with the thread. But this is perfect.Excited.
I love the pineapple stitch. I made a tablecloth for my dining room table that seats 8 out of crochet thread using a steel hook. It took me a couple months to get that finished, but I love it.
Wow! this pineapple-stitch pattern is so cool and easy to do and i love it! thank you, thank you for the wonderful step-by-step tutorial! you are the best!!!
Okay, I literally just googled this pattern two days ago. I remembered that my grandmother had a beautiful pineapple afghan for the den couch. I loved it. I wonder what happened to it. I have fond memories of her covering me with it as a child when I fell asleep on that couch. Happy memories I want for me and my family. Thank you for this tutorial and your wonderful explanations.
Very lovely 😍 I learned the pineapple a few years ago and made several items for my friends using it. I say I'll make this for myself but I'm sure I'll make it for another friend ☺
Thank you for this! I started a pineapple project about 15 years ago and set it aside to make some things for grandchildren and great grandchildren. Then I couldn’t remember how to do this stitch. Now I can finish the project started sooo long ago!❤️
This is absolutely gorgeous 😍 I think it would make a beautiful table runner. The yarn you used looks great too. Crystal, you are one of the best teachers for sure! It’s a gorgeous wrap too. I’m doing this one for sure. Thank You!
Such a beautiful project! I am working on one with fine yarn in a lilac color, and it's so delicate and pretty. Thanks for showing how to stitch this pattern! You were patient and clear on each step. Phenomenal tutorial video!
The pineapple stitch is my favorite pattern I have mad bookmarks, table clothes runners, doilies, never thought about a shawl but that sounds cool. Thank you
Mine is coming along great! Cant wait to share on FB. I'm on my second row 4. As always thank you, and for taking the time to organize the video to rewatch the rows with ease. Such a mesmerizing pattern.
This is a beautiful stitch. Other than hats, I haven’t successfully made anything with straight edges except for a wash cloth. So, my goal is to work my way up to a shawl in pineapple stitch. The first project is a scarf or I could try a scarf in this stitch. Thank you for sharing.
The pineapple stitch is my absolute favorite. My grandmother loved it as well and I am fortunate to have several of her doilies and table cloths that she crocheted.
Thank you so much for this! I love the pineapple stitch but so far have only done it by following patterns which were only for doilies and other small items. I am so happy to finally learn how to work up a large item like a wrap or a blanket using this gorgeous stitch. 🥰🥰💕
Thank you for the tutorial Crystal, it’s really fun to have someone to crochet with. I really enjoyed that. I think it’s going to take me a while to watch all your videos and do all of your tutorials, but I seem to have a lot of that these days.
Thank you Crystal. I always wanted to learn this stitch it just seemed to complicated. You always make it so easy to learn. I really appreciate your teaching style. This will be added to my long list of projects to do. Thank you again.
Boy, I did the pineapple stitch, -mumbles- years ago! I made a lovely afghan, which was harder then I thought it would be and then I gave it away. It didn't really fit in anywhere with my decor. It's pretty though! Wish I had you back then, to lead me through that pattern. 💕💕💕
Beautiful pattern, my favorite, actually. A while back, I began a skirt using this stitch for my daughter. For some reason, I forget, I had to put it away and it was forgotten. I recently came across it and could not figure out where I left off. I nearly frogged it, but just put it away thinking that a different mood might help me out later. I believe that I can figure out where I am through this tutorial. It is super straight forward and easy to follow.
IMPORTANT... END row 13 with 2dc in the Vst (not a Vst into Vst) and 1dc in last... sorry about that
plz plz do a tablecloth tutorial
What number crochet hook
I was just coming to comment that you made an error 😮 glad you also caught it. I’ve watched this video over and over again so I can make my project 😊

I'm a beginner intermediate and I've not learned how to make my own patterns yet. Do you think I could use this stitch to make a cardigan?
I've been crocheting for two weeks, and I did this. You're a great teacher.

You can do it!
Your instructions are so clear! Thank you. You're such a good teacher. Love all that you make! I'm going to do some of them!
Thanks so much 😊
Boy, I did the pineapple stitch, -mumbles- years ago!
