Do you have a left handed version of this video? If you are left handed, you can convert ANY video on RUclips yourself! Simply go to www.mirrorthevideo.com/ and follow the instructions to mirror flip any video to convert to left handed!
How much yarn will I need? This is a very tricky question to answer as there are so many variables! How much yarn you need will depend on which yarn you choose, the thickness of that yarn, your tension and how large you want your finished project to be. I suggest making a small sample first so you can gauge how much yarn you'll need. If making a crochet square, you can weigh your finished square to work out how much yarn it used!
How many squares do I need for a blanket? That all depends on the size of the square you are making and how big you want your finished blanket to be! I always advise making one square first then measuring the size of it. From there you can work out how many squares you will need to get the blanket size you want 😀
Do you have the written pattern? Yes! I have written patterns to accompany my video tutorials on my website here: www.hookedbyrobin.com The written pattern is generally released a week or so after the video tutorial to ensure there are no errors in the video itself and to make amendments in the written version if any are found. All the written patterns are FREE to access on my website
How can I print the pattern from your website? Do you have downloadable PDF's? Not at this time no. This may change in the future but for now, I only provide the written pattern directly on my website.
Can you remake this video so it is slower? If the video speed is too fast, you can slow it down! 😀 See this video on exactly how: • How to Adjust the Spee...
Why do you use American stitch terminology? I learnt using USA stitch terms, long before I even knew there was a difference between UK & US terminology! American terms are my "first language" so to speak. If you need a conversion chart, I have one here! www.hookedbyrobin.com/crochet...

I cannot thank you enough for the easy-to-follow tutorial that you posted. I was actually able to follow you without having to repeatedly stop the video to see where I got lost & why my project looked drastically different than the instructor (i.e., like I was crocheting a stuff pet worm). You are amazing & greatly gifted. Thank you again🙂.
Beautiful, you just come up with so many gorgeous patterns that are also easy to follow. Keep up the good work. You are very talented

Love this - just finished making one in Hobbii cotton kings sultan for myself to wear on my son's wedding day!!! Straight forward and easy to follow instructions as ever! Thank you - your videos are always so well done - and best of all you don't 'umm' and 'ahh' all the way through like some do on their videos! You are relaxed and an absolute pleasure to listen to!!
Beautiful work! Will be making this once I finish my current scarf 🖤

Thank you so much Maria!😃🧶
OMG. You hold your work and hook just like I do !!!!!!!!
Love your videos Robin 👍 They are really helping me improve my crochet skills (the US terms have never bothered me too much as I initially learned the basics from an American crochet book). Your variety of projects is fab ❤️
Thank you so much Katie! 🥰🤗
Such a lovely pattern and I especially like the edging!
Thank you so much Barbara!😃
Lovely pattern. I like how regular it is which makes it so easy. - For the border for a less dense look I tried 3 DC, the picot and 2 DC. So one less than what you suggested. It worked out well. Maybe also a solution if you`re afraid of running out of yarn. Thx again.💗💛🧡🤎( this is actualy the colour scheme I used on my shawl) :)
Thank you thank thank you for your tutorial. I just started watching tutorials for beginner shawls and I have now subcribed. You are a wonderful teacher and thank you for making it easy and clear to understand. I now have the confidence to make this shawl.
Hi Cynthia, lovely to have you here!😃 I am glad you are giving this shawl a go, it is so nice to make. Thank you for subscribing too.🥰
Love this. May have to do this tomorrow

Love your tutorials, this is my next project.😊 thank you
Thank you so much Carol, I hope you enjoy it.😃
Lovely. Thank you 🌟
Took up crochet at Christmas and this was only my 3rd endeavor - it may have taken me way longer than it should due to inexperience and very thin untwisted cotton yarn BUT it is finished, beautiful and I am so so proud of it. It is a rainbow shawl made for my daughter to wear to Pride - it can also be worn as a beach wrap (who knew!). Thank you so much for the excellent tutorial - what started out as I'll see if I can do it turned into wow I made that, what next? Crochet addicted. If I could post you pictures I would, thank you!

You're so welcome Barb!😀
Lovely. Thanks.
Thank you for this great tutorial. And it is was such a nice, easy take along project for the summer🤗
It is perfect for summer!😃 I am glad you liked the video.
Oh I love this! About 4 years ago I made my daughter a dress (which she now STILL wears as a shirt 🤣) That had this eyelet design. In the round, that pattern boggled me. But this is lovely as a shawl.
Would like to also see it in a poncho 😘
Just finished one about 10 min. ago. Used the Caron Cinnamon Swirl Cakes yarn Maitai color. Worked up beautifully. Gift for a friend. Thanks again Robin!!
You’re so welcome Robin and that sounds beautiful.🤗😃
Gorgeous. Going to try this
👐
You've actually clearly shown how to picot. Thanks. Usually the crocheters don't actually show that stitch. They say how, but their hands are usually in the way.
🥰🤗
Robin this is beautiful I'm going to try this when I get home have a good Thanksgiving
You're tutorial is amazing. By getting in so close to the stitches, and you simple instructions, I can finally do it. I've tried so many tutorials and failed. Thank you so very much for taking the time and effort to make such a well done instructive video. So wonderful. 😊
Thank you so much for such a wonderful comment Gail, that was lovely to read!😀🥰
I have a couple of rugs that I’m hoping to finish by the end of the year. But I’ll be attempting to make this shawl for next Australian Winter in mid year. Adore the pattern thanks Robin. Might take a bit longer than I plan due to my physical disability and only the full use of the right hand ✋.
Thank u. Made this my first shawl to give to my mom.
You’re so welcome!😃
This is absolutely gorgeous!
Thank you so much! 🥰

I enjoyed making this shawl out of Premier Butterfly. Using one cake, there was enough to use picos on the edge. But not the other trim. My first crochet shawl. Thank you!
You’re welcome Catherine, that sounds lovely!😃🧶

That sounds beautiful Carol!😍🧶
So prettyy ♥️💛💚💙💜
A simple but beautiful.pattern. just finished mine and it is lovely!! Thank you!
I’m glad you like it, what yarn did you use?😃🧶
@@HookedbyRobin I used Lion Brand Cupcake color Sand Castle. It turned out so beautiful! The yarn is discontinued but I found a couple listed on FB marketplace and bought them so that I can make another in the same color. In the meantime, I've started another one using hobbii Twister, color #35. It will be gorgeous, I'm sure!
Ah good idea with FB marketplace! I wanted some more yarn recently for a shawl and found it was discontinued. I have boxes of yarn but I wanted that one.🫣😅
It will be gorgeous!😃
Love this
Love this!!!! Making it for my mom for Mother’s Day today. Hopefully I can finish it. Super easy tutorial. Thank you! Sooo pretty!
Beautiful 🤩
Thank you so much! 🥰🧶
This tutorial was great! I used a Caron cake to make a shawl for myself and my Son loved it so much he stole it. The dog has laid claim to it too. Occasionally I get to wear it. I guess I'll have to make another. :)
Love it, I already have the yarn for your fan lace scarf and jewelspun wrap, now I want to do this one also
Haha that's the best compliment I can receive! Yarn enabling 😂🧶🥰
