🔥 Frequently Asked Questions:
Do you have a left handed version of this video? If you are left handed, you can convert ANY video on RUclips yourself! Simply go to www.mirrorthevideo.com/ and follow the instructions to mirror flip any video to convert to left handed!
How much yarn will I need? This is a very tricky question to answer as there are so many variables! How much yarn you need will depend on which yarn you choose, the thickness of that yarn, your tension and how large you want your finished project to be. I suggest making a small sample first so you can gauge how much yarn you'll need. If making a crochet square, you can weigh your finished square to work out how much yarn it used!
How many squares do I need for a blanket? That all depends on the size of the square you are making and how big you want your finished blanket to be! I always advise making one square first then measuring the size of it. From there you can work out how many squares you will need to get the blanket size you want 😀
Do you have the written pattern? Yes! I have written patterns to accompany my video tutorials on my website here: www.hookedbyrobin.com The written pattern is generally released a week or so after the video tutorial to ensure there are no errors in the video itself and to make amendments in the written version if any are found. All the written patterns are FREE to access on my website
How can I print the pattern from your website? Do you have downloadable PDF's? Not at this time no. This may change in the future but for now, I only provide the written pattern directly on my website.
Can you remake this video so it is slower? If the video speed is too fast, you can slow it down! 😀 See this video on exactly how: • How to Adjust the Spee...
Why do you use American stitch terminology? I learnt using USA stitch terms, long before I even knew there was a difference between UK & US terminology! American terms are my "first language" so to speak. If you need a conversion chart, I have one here! www.hookedbyrobin.com/crochet...

What kind of yarn is suitable for this scarf? Acrylic, cotton or any kind?
What is the yarn that you're using when demonstrating at the very beginning of doing the scarf?

Please add me as a new devoted fan! You are an AMAZING teacher, Robin. Thank you so much! Will definitely be sending you a coffee as soon as I figure out how. Beautiful pattern!❤
Made one for my elderly aunt who used to love to crochet. She was so pleased! Thanks for the wonderful tutorial!
That is so lovely Paula! 😃🤗
I made this for my mother. She absolutely loves it! She wears it with a black shirt and sweater and it really pops and makes a simple outfit spectacular. I’m about to make another one for my aunt. Thank for sharing the pattern.
That sounds great Liz and what lovely presents! 😃🥰🧶
No, no, no, no, no! Please, Robin…. Stop the temptation….I already have 12 WIPs 😂😂😂. (Yes, I counted).
Only 12? Pfft there is always room for more! 😂😂😂
@@HookedbyRobin ok. You convinced me 😅. And, I assume, you’re telling me I need more yarn, right? Im ok with that too. 🤪🤪Seriously - Love you, love your tutorials. 💕
Oh yes you absolutely need more yarn!! 😂🧶
I have room for more WIPs!!! I only have 9!
You only have 12? Im so proud of your restraint, i outerwear babe at least a box full of unfinished projects.
This looks like the perfect project, difficult enough to keep me interested, not so difficult that I quit because it’s too hard!
I am halfway through making this. This is the second thing I have ever crocheted. It is so easy to learn from you! I have learned to read the pattern because of the video. I love this SO MUCH! Thank you for making your videos, they are so inspiring!
Robin-you are the best! I’ve already used this pattern for Christmas gifts as well as the shawl pattern. Your directions are very clear and easy to follow. Your voice is pleasant to listen to and watching how each stitch is created makes the pattern much less daunting. Many thanks!
I'm finally getting to sit down, and I'll be working on this tonight! Thanks so much for an awesome pattern, Robin! Every time I think I'm burned out with crochet, along comes Robin to save the day for me 🤗

You have the easiest tutorial to understand that I've found. . I truly appreciate it.
This was actually really fun and very pretty. I finally got a chance to give it a go today. It actually works well with a silky yarn with a fair amount drape as well and still looks gorgeous. I used a bamboo yarn.
Thank you, I’ve been looking for a project that doesn’t defeat me but keeps my interest! This perfect!
🥰
I have about 1 yard done, it looks wonderful.Thank you so much for sharing.Guess what my daughter in laws will get for Christmas !!!!! It solves a big problem, as there are 6 !!!!

What a gorgeous scarf! I have some yarn that would be perfect for this. Thank you for all your hard work.☺️
This was the first pattern I ever crocheted years ago. I remember it was a vintage pattern scan floating around on the internet. I'm happy to see it's remaining known!

Remarkably stunning, yet easy to memorize pattern! I love this and will be making several.
Wow! Stunningly beautiful, really caught my attention, this truly is amazing, thank you Robin.
I love this pattern. It was so fun to make. I was able to complete it in two evenings. My yarn was a little soft so I made it with your correction and joined the petals. Thank you for making this video!!!

What did they say? Did they love it? :-)
I have made the scarf with Carnival nr 1 from Hobbii and I love it!!! Thanks for the beautiful pattern
Greetings from Holland, Marion.
Wonderful scarf and easy to follow tutorial. Thank you Robin.
Hi Robin. Just to say, I've finished this scarf and I LOVE IT!! It is by a long shot the best thing I have crocheted so far. It is sooo beautiful. As mentioned in another comment, I used a thinner yarn with a 4.5mm hook and it still came out brilliantly. I used two balls of the Cygnet Boho Spirit 'Festival' yarn (bought this before having a project in mind) and just continued until I ran out of yarn and it's the perfect length. I've since discovered that you've used this yarn yourself in another of your videos - the Crochet bottom up Granny triangle shawl. It's a beautiful yarn with lovely colours and I can see myself buying more of it. Anyway, just wanted to gush and say thanks again. I love my scarf, others have complimented me on it and I'm going to make more for presents.
Hi Suzanne, I loved reading this comment - thank you!🥰 That yarn is so beautiful but I also so say that for most yarns.😂 I am so glad you love your scarf.x
You sound as enthusiastic as I. This pattern opens my imagination. It's like magic....and maybe that's exactly what it is.
I love this pattern. Once I added the updated stitch, it became my Antoine favorite and I love it. Thank you for such a great tutorial.
Robin, another winner here! I just finished mine. It was very exciting to make and the finished object is as stunning as your hair! If you keep them coming, I will keep making it! You taught me how to crochet and I love your teaching style. You are simply brilliant.
Ohh my Gosh Robin! What a beautiful pattern. I have 3 very special ppl that would love one for Xmas. Thanks so much my lovely ☺

I LOVE this!! Amazingly it's really easy for me to pick up on too. I'm not a beginner but not an expert either. Most of my projects I stay in a comphy zone but this truly inspired me to dive in!
I used a much darker softer yarn ( all I had on hand) that I was saving for something special and I'm so excited how it's turning out!
Thank you! Thank you!
I can't wait to make this. My sister will love this for
Christmas.
This is absolutely beautiful! I've watched the entire video & can't wait to make it 💜 thank you so very much ❤

It's so easy to follow you! Thank you Robin ❤️
ABSOLUTELY BEAUTIFUL SCARF!!! I made it using a chunky yarn and size L/ 8mm hook. The result was petals that are large and the scarf width across is about 11 inches. This one is on the Christmas stocking stuffer list! Thanks for a great pattern and tutorial!!💕
What chunky yarn did you use thank you!
Absolutely GORGEOUS!!
My favorite part of all your videos is when you say, "pop!"

What wonderful pieces your scarfs are, the one in the thumbnail as well as the one in the tutorial! I had myself some multi-colored yarn in autum colors and it turned out to be nice. In summer, I'm going to try it with a lighter cotton yarn.

It most definitely fits into the caregory of WOW ... I´ve just finished mine and I looks so beautiful - even if I say this myself; still most obviously it is due to your instructions which are impecable ... took me a little while to get the gist of the flaring to one side and the other, but when I did it really is a piece of cake!!! thank you so much for sharing this beautiful pattern.

Thanks for the beautiful pattern and excellent tutorial. I just finished my first one and it’s stunning! ❤️
Love love, going to make for Christmas gifts!!!!! Thank you 😊
Hi, I saw youtr tutorial pass by whilst browsing for something completely else. I had some similar wool lying arond somewere, finally found it stashed away somewere and thought: lets give it a try. I have not been crocheting for at least 25 years, but it all came back to me. At first it seemed verry difficult, but after a flower or five I really got the hang of it, and now I'm happy crocheting along. Thank you for this tutorial, this scarf wil brighten up my winterwardrobe after its finished.
And it's finished. only took me 2 days from my christmas vacation (and recovering from a nasty influenza).
Love love....so glad your back.
Aw thank you so much!
I really like this tutorial. It will be fun making it out of all kinds of yarn. I am excited to make this scarf. Great tutorial
