Love that you don't start with a circle nor magic ring. I also love what a straight edge crocheting a triple crochet at the end gives you.

In the corner of video there is the setting icon. Click on it and go to speed of video. You can slow the video down to follow along better. It’s how I learned ,,, because they go to fast when you are an absolute beginner
