    This is a great project. I figured out to use directional fabric. Cut the strip in half, sew the pieces together with the pattern going the correct way. Love making these.

    If you use a walking foot when sewing the towel inside the cotton fabric, it would be easier!

      It's a pretty easy project! I just got a piece of wood the size I wanted cut a piece of 1/2 inch foam the same size. Then I covered it with batting and then a piece of cotton fabric. stapled it all to the back.

    What is the length of the scrap.

    • @berniecelee5062
      @berniecelee5062 3 года назад

      He used the width of the fabric…. I think it’s about 44 inch and he cut off one edge of selvage and he kept the other end of selvage intact. Most fabric is 44 inches wide. Some are 55 to 60 inches but I hardly see that anymore. He’s using quilt cotton I believe and that’s mostly 44 inches wide.
      Hope that helps.

      I have always wanted a sewing machine ever since I was a kid. I got my first sewing machine when I was 29-30 after a rough patch in my life. I taught myself how to use it using RUclips videos and found that their wasn't very many videos for beginner sewers that were easy to follow with the way I learn so I decided to make my own. i put up a few videos and people started following my and the rest is history!! Thank You for watching and glad you like them!! - Matthew ( Uncle Scrappy)
