    Great tutorial, thank you. I will add that the lighting and the white on white fabrics makes it hard to differentiate and follow very well.

    This is such a good idea. I think I might adapt it by attaching the towels using buttons instead of sewing them in. That way I could detach the towels when they needed laundering

    I had never heard of this either! I love it! I’m gonna make a couple for some of the people I know that love to cook and bake! Thank you!

    Hi Mrs Brie, this is a creative idea and I never heard of kitchen scarf.
    Your mother had the right idea for someone who cooks a lot.
    I'm sure you, your mother, and others appreciate this very much.

      I can tell and my Thanksgiving went well going to my uncle's instead of having it traditionally at my mother's house.
      How was yours by the way?

    I love this idea! It would be helpful if you show the finished project (the one you are wearing at the end, with the pattered fabric on the neck piece) at the beginning of the tutorial. I’d like to see it in full, over your neck, to get a sense of proportion. Thanks and I love your presentation style.

    In the beginning of the video the sample that was shown, where it rests on the back of the neck was narrower. How did you do that?

    How much of the tea towel did you put in before sewing? Love this idea. Thanks for sharing

    I had a hard time seeing how you folded the flour sack towel because you did it on a bright white surface with bright lights shining on it. Why didn’t you take it back over to your cutting pad with the camera a little farther back so there would be a little contrast. I can’t figure out what yo did.

    The instruction on cutting the big towel is great, but we all know that hand towels /and or kitchen towels are a different size.. and somewhere or other , this towel cutting doesn't compute as they say ..so either do a demo on cutting a hand towel ....or give the measurement of the piece that we are using . How long should that towel be?

      Let me refer back to the pattern. I think it listed in the description box. The great thing is that you can really use whatever size youd like and then cut down the scarf portion to accomidate

    What a great idea! Do you have a favorite apron pattern?

      You know I don’t have a favorite-but I do love designing them. I love making them for gifts all year round

    why would you not show the finished project or explain its use fully. A kitchen scarf? what use does it have?

    • @homemadeonourhomestead
      @homemadeonourhomestead  3 года назад

      Sorry. Thanks for the suggestion.
      It’s got towels on each end and you wear instead of a bulky apron.

    For simplicity sake, couldn’t you just use two already made towels you like ad attach it to the neck band? Would the results be the same?

    • @homemadeonourhomestead
      @homemadeonourhomestead  4 года назад +1

      Yes you for sure can do that. I made it this way because I preferred the flour sack towels a bit less bulky but gave both options on my blog as well

    I watched this from beginning to end and still can't figure out what a kitchen scarf is. No explanation or good photo of its purpose. 🤷‍♀️

    Easier gather, zigzag over a piece of dental floss

    • @homemadeonourhomestead
      @homemadeonourhomestead  4 года назад +1

      I love that trick too. But the machine I was using for this tutorial doesn’t
      Have a zigzag stitch (sadly).
