The new versions are definitely quicker and require less fabric. I can’t decide which one is my favorite, lol. So glad to have all of these options. Thank you so much, Angela!

I’ve made 100+ of the original towels. I haven’t made these yet. I just saw the video this morning. I had an acrylic template created on ETSY for the original pattern. It has streamlined the process so much for me. I sell the towels. They are a favorite.

I had just come across your first design about 2 months ago and was very pleased not to have to do buttonholes. However the previous patterns that I had been making used a full towel, which I perferred. I found I was not able to construct with a full towel and made many for family and friends with half a towel. I prefer to have a full (double sided) towel and am very anxious to try out this method. Thank you for continuing innovating patterns. I am so pleased to have discovered your channel. Keep bringing us your new ideas!

I put bowls with bowl cozies and one of your tea towels in some of them also. This has been my favorite design ever! I always disliked having to gather towels to make oven towels. Your instructions were perfect. I'd been looking for an oven door handle towel that was NOT crocheted, turned into a dress, needed buttons or snaps, etc, but also couldn't easily be taken down by an animal or toddler. This simple band of fabric with the pleated towel, to me, just looks more sophisticated, and doesn't scream "old fashioned". I, personally had a difficult time making just one in one afternoon. It was totally user error, because the towel I had chosen for my first try was much too thick, so it was a bit more slow going. It was also a very dark black, so I couldn't get the chalk to make a nice think line the way you did with the chalk, and then also, even attempted with a chalk pencil. I know better know which type of towel to buy that would work better. I do love the way it turned out. Thanks so much for giving us this tutorial.

I've made the original hanging towels, the persons who received the towel loved them. The newer one if very nice and will be making them for x-mas, less fabric and quicker to make. I like both of the patterns.

I love the way you made them. I've never had nice towels. Always hid in a drawer. But I'm on a total scrap buster push. I'd have to get some tea towels which seams not in line with upcycle but would reduce a lot of my scraps. And cover some Christmas presents! Might be cute with a little applique. Like a triangle imitating a Christmas tree. I was teaching sewing but then covid hit. Only a few quilters here. I'm it for basic sewing and tuning up machines. 2000 population. Retired here 5 years ago. I really want the young here to learn to sew.

I admire your design skills. I am a person who copies what I see and sometimes makes my own modifcations. I have trouble coming up with my own designs like you. Well done. This one is so much easier than the ones you gather or pleat then 'stuff' into the fabric topper.
