I M 70YEARS OLD AND SEWED FOR 60+YEARS. THE TUTORIAL WAS VERY WELL EXECUTED . EASY DIRECTIONS...CLEAR SPEECH....HE EVEN APOLOGIES FOR A RE DIRECTION OF SEWING. GREAT TUTORIAL....!♥️ THUMBS UP ! MORE TUTORIALS FOR MY GRAND DAUGHTER'S PLEASE. BURP CLOTHS!
I love this. No cutting the towel in half, or folding in half and gathering. I love the diamond effect of the hanger and the usability of both ends of the towel instead of the usual all on the same end.
It just popped up in my recommended list also. I think he is just trying to be helpful to people without much sewing experience. He's not trying to talk down to his audience. He makes every step clear.
Love THIS style of hanging towel. I've made other styles, but this is my favorite. It's simpler to make and there's more useable towel when done. I've made them for gifts and others love them as well. Thanks for the video and I'm glad I was able to find it again because I need to make MORE! tmi- the reason I began using an attached hanging towel is due to one of my kitties being naughty and repeatedly knocking down my clean towels onto the floor. PERFECT solution! I think I may try it with a tea towel weight of towel next time too. I'm so glad you made this video to share with others. Thank you!
I truly love how you used the full towel and not just half of one like many towels bought at craft shows. It was also unusual but genius how it hangs width wise. You inspired me to have my grand daughters over to make these for their mom for Christmas - it seems like the perfect project - short and sweet.
I like this version better than others b/c it leaves more of the towel available for use, instead of cutting it in half or losing some of the towel to multiple pleats and trim. Thanks!
COVID-19 sewing projects. I made one, and I found sewing the line across the towel slightly difficult. But success! It came out beautiful. This project also taught me how to sew a button hole. I’m a beginner and need the gentleness along with A to Z steps. I like how Scrappy instructs us. The tone tells me, ‘anyone is able to do this’. Re:sewing over needles, this was the way sewing projects were taught back in the late sixties.
Just caught your video. First time I've seen a kitchen towel done this way. Great idea! I'd like to share my laundry tip: use vinegar in your rinse for kitchen and bath towels. Seriously. Put your stuff in for a 2 rinse wash, when it stops after the 1st rinse, add 1 1/2 c white vinegar to the load. You'll notice your load will smell cleaner, and if you forget it overnight, no mildew or mold smell. No vinegar smell either. And your towels will be super soft and absorbent.
First time on your channel. I really liked how you explained the directions on what you'd need to make this hanging towel. Then you explained and showed us, set by step what to do. Can't wait to make this. Thank you so much for this wonderful gift idea.
I love this idea! You could turn it over to sew that last seam because there is the previous sewing to use for reference and you can see to sew across. You can also use a snap instead of Velcro or a button.
This is amazing. I think it’s even greater coming from a hunter. I made one slight adjustment in that I left the bottom triangle open and slid the towel in between the fabric square because I didn’t like the unfinished look on the back side. My towel looks the same on both sides. I also added interfacing to my square. You could add a button on both sides so it wouldn’t matter. I didn’t do that. Great video.
I really love the your tutorial, perfectly described the project. I would suggest lining your fabric the SF 101, an iron on interfacing, it would give your fabric some extra body and hold up better with daily use. I am going to make some of the for my church bazaar. Hope you get a deer.
I love your work space. And it's nice to see a man take up sewing. We love our deer meat too. I have family that hunts. Tyfs...great tutorial. You are really at explaining everything.
My husband and son sew very well. You are a very good instructor. I am going to share this with my grandsons. I have 7, but I know only 5 of them are creative enuf to see. Lol thank you sew much.
I’m going to use cam snaps! For that last seam, you can turn the towel around to make it easier to sew! This is such a good idea! Thanks for the video!
That is a really awesome project, very easy to sew. Thanks for the video and big thanks for putting CC on, too. Some people don't add CC to their videos that I get so frustrated as we deaf people can't hear 👂 👂 👂 🔇 but we can read 📋 📋 💬 💬. Thanks for the CC.
This is a very nice neat little gift idea. One thing I have done, and I have sewed for years, is when I have corners, I always back stitch on each side of the corner - to reinforce the corners.
I appreciate how efficiently you went through this project; plenty of vid makers babble on and on, talking about their cats, dogs, family, troubles.....and long before getting to the point. We have limited data in our cloud bank, thus I appreciate how you keep it to the point; happy stitching!! (I'm making I-cord knit and/or crochet projects.....replacing broken straps.....giggled a bit when you spoke of Velcro.....knowing me, I'd make an I-cord, tieing-one-on system. ((:
I love finding out that our menfolk are getting into crafts. Crafting isn't just a "woman's" thing anymore! I also come from a family of hunters and was pleased to find out that you were still waiting for that wonderful venison to come walking by. Blessings on your hunts!
You did a great tutorial!! Bravo!! I like the way the towel falls when hung with the unique way you designed the towel flap. I've never seen that before, it may be sewn like that by many, but I've never seen that technique...and I've read many craft and sewing literature books and periodicals along with viewing numerous instructional videos on the internet social sites too 🤓. TY for your information and time, 💯🤗
Fantastic video!!! Great instructions! You're so clear and concise that a kid could follow what you were doing! I know the gifts I'll be given next Xmas! Thank you
Very pretty. Your instructions are very clear and easy to follow. Idea for another tutorial......how to sew a full length apron....with neck and waist ties.
I love to see men involved in sewing and they can be the best artists in everything /every field ! Hey may I ask for you make this idea up on your own or see it some place ?! I’ve seen like others say this did so much different but this is super nice ! Ty I really am going to make these now ! Plus I like how you have the whole towel your using as well ! Very smart !
WOW!! This is great!! I've been looking for a GOOD towel holder for the kitchen and THIS IS IT!!! I've looked at SOO, SEW MANY!!! ahaahaaa Thank you for the great tutorial.
Good directions. In my case I would be sewing with my 100+ year old treadle machine and my buttonholer from the 50's ,definitely do not sew over the pins as it can break the needle. Thank you for the lesson.
What a great teacher you are! I’ll probably never make a towel like this (I’m more of a paper crafter) but I need to be able to use my sewing machine better. However, I learned that great tip from you about raising the presser foot to turn the corner with needle down. Thanks so much! Enjoyed your video, first one I’ve seen of yours and I look forward to watching more!

I like that you used the whole towel, instead of just a half. Very nice and easy to do!

I agree. I think he's gentle and cares about being intentionally clear. Some people are so negative and hypersensitive!
Exactly!! I made my channel for kids and beginner sewers!! When I taught myself how to sew I wish I had more detailed videos! Thanks for watching!

Hello beautiful
Neat idea, excellent tutorial! Your voice is strong and clear - great for the senior viewer!
I am so impressed with your video. It's not to slow or to fast. The instructions were very precise. Thanks for sharing. LOVE LOVE LOVE.
I like this version better than others b/c it leaves more of the towel available for use, instead of cutting it in half or losing some of the towel to multiple pleats and trim.
Thanks!
Your instructions are clear and concise. Thank you for a quick project. Love the reference to deer hunting.
A nice, simple and practical gift...along with a simple, straightforward tutorial. Thanks for the lesson!
One of the best step by step videos with perfect explanations for each step.

Great instructions! Thank you!
Fabric choice for the towel and instructions.
I like it! I'm gonna make some for the RV. Glad to see other dudes sewing.
There's more of us than you would imagine. All the great couturiers are or were male.

I've never seen a towel hanger made like this. Very easy to do thanks.

Great tutorial! Love your enthusiasm!!!
Never seen one done this way. I will be trying this out soon!
I think I’ve watched every video on the subject but this is the best one!

So much easier than the gathered ones, cant thank you enough, even watched it twice, so i wouldn’t forget,
Hello Kaye

Anyone else just now seeing this in 2019?
Joni Fejes Me
Me. Why is he sewing over needles, forward and backward.
Yes! Isn’t it a good tutorial and oh so easy 😃
My first time seeing it.
@@martimoegling3618 He didn't sew over the needles. He pulled them out.
Great instructions with true confessions. If button holes aren't your thing, decorative snaps might work instead of button.
Merci pour ce tuto. Je ne parle pas anglais mais en regardant le pas à pas ça m'a l'air facile à réaliser. Bravo

Cleaver idea. I like this better than the method where the towel is gathered up
Loved your video. You are a great teacher and you don’t leave anything out. Thanks!😀
