The fastest it took my uncle to ever make a quilt was 7 weeks, it usually takes him 9 to 11 weeks.
Now his quilts are on average 1965 square feet or 183 square meters !
But then again he does the quilting sewing for hot air balloons.

This video is my intro to quilting. When I first saw it I thought, "What is this wizardry? Is she seriously making a completely rad tablecloth in a day?" I quickly got this autumn rollie and some fabric from JoJo's and I made a table runner, a smaller double wide runner and three little pumpkins for my mom. It took me two days, but it's beautiful and I have already ordered another jelly roll to make something else... a QUILT! seriously, I'm sold! Thank you for making this fun and great video! All the best :)

I have lots of placemats but now I'm thinking this tablecloth in Christmas fabrics. I might put a very thin batting in mine as things go clink when plates, cups and glasses are put on the metal so batting will be good for me. Always enjoy your videos. I would have chosen a solid color based on the dark colors in the fabric. Perhaps a dark green? Anyway, I know you chose the white and I'm happy that you love it. It is YOUR quilted tablecloth. Pressing changes the size of your block. Open will give you the largest block. To the side will make it smaller. Not a big deal on a block with a few pieces but a complex design can be completely thrown out if you don't press as per pattern. Sincerely former dark side addict 😂

Yes, when doing jelly roll race type tops, pressing seams open improves the stability of the top. Open seams are just as durable as closed. And they don’t fight with each other at intersections. Also it makes less lumps.
